The salesman was very pushy. Told me the warranty was a lifetime warranty on the door. Negotiated the price down then added $150 for a permit that was never pulled. Door broke 2 years later and I was told only 1 yr manufacturer warranty as stated on the door. While on hold you hear about their exceptional warranty. After speaking with the lady on the phone and explaining this she offered to pay half the repairs. I said this was not what I was told and she hung up on me. Most unprofessional company I ever dealt with.

Both doors installed but unhappy with quality. In regards to the glass/screen door, we can't use the screen because the door is so flimsy it bends just from door closing too hard, besides the screen is very loose. So that one has to be glass all year round. Actual front door, I expressed concerns of light coming through between the door frame and door in bottom corner. 2 different people came out and the final solution was to place an adhesive square with some kind of bristles in the corner of the door frame next the one already there in order to "fix" the gap of space. EVEN MORE light comes through and now the door stop/ air seal is dysfunctional and has to be fixed all the time otherwise light and air comes through even worse than before. You can see the outline of the inner construction of the door on the outside. The faux wood frame around the glass window pulls away from the door and you can see the glue used to adhere it to the door. Ridiculously overpriced for quality you actually get. Also, we were misinformed about payment options and accrued fees from a lender they changed us to, yet failed to explain the differences between them. Assured us that everything stayed the same. Of course that is MY fault as I believed there was no change in terms, as the salesman and all others at the company I spoke with advised me prior to signing, so I signed and didn't read ALL of the fine print with all the differences held within. Lesson learned. Never again.

Salesman was pushy and took advantage of senior citizens. The crew damaged the roof when ripping the old gutters off the house and did not attempt to repair it or report it. They left nails and debris all around the house and driveway. The did return to fix the roof after several complaints. The guttters leak on every corner. I will never hire this company. This work was at my Mother-in-laws house.

The installers, other workers and helpers were exceptionally professional. They arrived as scheduled, were courteous, explained everything well , and responded respectfully to any requests we had. However,,,,,KRAZ is a 'knock on your door' , hard sell company. For that reason, I would not hire them again. It was so bad initially when the sales person came by to demonstrate the windows and their services that I walked out of the room, telling him to leave before I got more angry. Several conversations on the phone with his boss/supervisor sounded like tough cop/nice cop. The initial exorbitant price was slashed by 75%. I knew the first quote was crazy high. They do good work, but I went through way too much. Reviews on YELP echo my experience. If you want to tough it out with the sales person, KRAZ can do the job.

The man that came to give the estimate was pushy and rude. His estimate was fair, so I hired them to do the work anyway. In hindsight I wish that I would have thrown him out of our house. The gutters were installed without complaint. Job was done in a timely manner. They did a fine job on the gutters. After they installed the fence, we started to have problems with our electricity. We would lose power for several hours at a time. Nipsco came out to investigate and apparently one of our underground lines was damaged by the fence insulation. Nipsco made the necessary repairs with no cost to us, but it was a huge inconvenience. They had large machinery on the side of our house, digging several holes. The ground was tore up for months, and was sodded in the spring. I'm sure Nipsco and Kraz hatched out the expense. I wish that I would have never put up that fence, and will probably never hire Kraz to do work for us again.

Overall, the job went well, but here's the 'bad stuff': -I didn't appreciate the hard sell (high price then the continuing decrease until I agreed) -No one would accept responsibility for errors or mistakes...the job couldn't be performed during the installers' 1st visit because they didn't bring a ladder that was long enough to reach my roof (one side of my house is almost three stories high) AND they initially had the wrong color for the down spouts (I had to sign an authorization form, making it seem that I changed MY mind regarding the colors) -I would have preferred two professionals "on the job" versus one professional and his 'apprentice' -No followup from the pushy salesman or the office team -I'm not sure if I would in fact hire this company again

The company representative came to our house and handed out a flyer. We needed our windows done, so I called them, and made an appointment. The salesman was definitely high pressure, although, I read the reviews and was prepared for this. I felt that for the number of windows that is was a fair price and the windows are amazing. They definitely make our house look better and feel a lot warmer!! Our NIPCO bill did go down as promised. The workers arrived on time, were very polite and worked very quickly. They estimated the job at 1.5 days and were right on with the estimate. I have to say that we were happy with the overall experience. I gave them a "C" for the price due to the fact that they came down over $10,000 from the initial quote and the extremely high pressure sales tactics used.

Two salesmen show up and spent 3 hours here. They kept pushing me on agreeing to the siding and letting them do the financing even though I told them I only wanted to know my options and that I was seeking my own financing. They told me I had to sign several papers in order to get the quote and one (I discovered later) was a contract for the work. I wasn't ready to accept them and yet felt bullied into signing papers. One of the papers gave me 3 days to cancel the contract. THey left at 530 on Friday, and early Monday morning I called to cancel the contract. They still called almost daily for the next week, talking about the financing and on Thursday, a credit card from Wells Fargo in their name and our name shows up in the mail. The card amount did not agree with what they told me would happen so I wondered how many loans they were taking out in my name and how it was destroying my credit. We never authorized them to get this credit card. I only wanted to know my financing options. In the meantime, I wanted to refinance my home for the lower interest rate, better payment and to roll the cost of the siding into the refinance. They kept trying to push me to finance with them, then refinance the home, then pay them off. I told them several times, no, I would not. That way was dangerous because if the refinance on the house didn't go through, then I would struggle to pay for their financing. Yet they kept pushing that idea. We cancelled the credit card right away and told them they lost the bid because I didn't like to be bullied. Their quote seemed higher than it should be. The people on the phone and in person did not listen when I kept telling them no. They were extremely aggressive as if only the sale mattered. I would not recommend them to anyone. Finally, when I did get other quotes, they came in at $6,000 less for exactly the same work.

Two salesmen came by and gave their presentation. They seemed to have a good product, and the prices were not an issue. The problem we ran into was that we were not going to make any purchases today, but it was a possibility in the next 6 months. He kept pushing and pushing for the sale, and I kept saying "No, it's something we are going to discuss." He also kept asking for our credit scores and pushing us to see about qualifying for financing. We again had to say no, and that it was not something we were going to do now. At this point, he made a phone call to his boss about lowering the prices. They did lower them, but again I stated no, and we would not be doing anything yet. After continuous pushing, I asked them to leave my house, and his response on the phone was "Nevermind, it's a credit issue." No, it was not a credit issue at all, and that is the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard. I am disgusted with this company and will never consider using them for anything.

These people not only use high pressure sales tactics, they harass you. You get a call from them every couple of weeks. We had a quote from them and a quote for Lowes for fence installation and Lowes was well over a thousand dollars cheaper. After year of calls I finally told him I was no longer interested in any fencing, and that I did not want to be called by them ever again. I still got a couple of calls. They came by again and wanted to give my mother a quote for the same thing and reluctantly she agreed. Well, they started harassing her. My father's been in the hospital and the woman who called her on the phone was told that we did not need their services and she proceeded to go right on and go through her written spiel regardless of my mother telling her that my father was in the hospital. These people do not like to take no for an answer, they are unscrupulous and they do not have best rates anywhere. Your best bet is to look at reviews on Angie's List and also if you see someone who has had work done that you like just ask them who their contractor was.

Very, very unprofessional salesman who sounded more like a used car salesman. He used scare tactics, telling me that if I went with another company, they may hire random people who may be murderers or rapists. Told me the cost to put vinyl siding on my small home, replacing the cedar shakes only (I already have vinyl everywhere else) would be $16,000. Yes, $16,000. But, he said, because I lived in the same town where his company was located, he would give me a discount of $8,000.00, cutting the price in half! He then proceeded to pressure me to accept the deal then and there. When I said I couldn't make a decision right away, he gave me until midnight, three days later. Who does this??? I stupidly signed something without reading it, but I repeatedly asked him if it was anything binding me to do business with him and he repeatedly said NO. I later found out from the BBB that it was a legal and binding contract that I had signed and I had three days in which to revoke the contract. He lied to me about another company's rating with the BBB, which was stupid, because all I had to do was check, and I did. I found out that Kraz had several complaints filed against them and that only one was resolved to the customers satisfaction. Still, the BBB gives them an A rating, which is why Ii don't place much stock in them. The other company, which the salesman from Kraz bad-mouthed had an A rating with the BBB and no complaints filed against them. It was truly the most unprofessional dealing with a salesman I have ever experienced and it was a little creepy too. He seemed very interested in the fact that I live alone and kept mentioning that other employees from other companies may be murderers and rapists. I would never, ever, ever call this company again and would certainly never recommend them to anyone.

The original installation was about a year ago. The windows seemed nice and we were satisfied. Around December we noticed that one of the windows had a broken middle pane. They came out to measure the window for replacement which seemed odd since they had made it. When it came it did not fit. They measured it again, and again it did not fit. This happened once again still not fitting. So that's three times with no solution. My wife called again to find out what was going on and she was told the computer said the problem was fixed, surprise to her. The person on the phone said there should be a number on the broken window with a code on it, which must be a secret to their workers. We also are having trouble with a broken seal on another window that fogs up, and another that will not open or lock. Generally not happy with the purchase.

The estimator was very friendly and a joy to talk to; however, he spent more time trying to sell us on getting insulation (which we were already certain we would do) and not a lot of time estimating. He never looked in our attic, never measured anything, and based his entire estimate on my guess of the house's square footage. He came up with a price which was higher than we expected, so he reduced it by several hundred dollars without really being asked. This gave me the impression that the price included a pretty wide margin, since it wasn't based on actual measurements and could be changed so readily. This left me with an unsettled feeling, but after I compared prices for similar jobs with friends and family, I felt we were at least in the right ballpark. There were several weeks between the estimate and the job being performed. The crew that did the installation was prompt and courteous. They worked quickly and with minimal disruption to those of us at home. The house felt noticiably warmer after the installation and we have been pleased with the result. I would do business with Kraz again, but only after comparing to a second estimate by another company.

A salesman showed up at my door soliciting services. It was during fall of last year but cannot remember exact date. I wanted an estimate on new siding. He set up an appointment for someone to come out and estimate. The gentleman showed up and took a while to set up the estimate and also seen something wrong with our garage. He said he would like to meet with me and my husband to discuss the estimate (he wouldn't even give me any prices). I explained that I am the main decision maker and my husband does not have time to meet with contractors. He said he would have to meet with both of us. So I set a time where my husband would be home. We went back and forth a few times with the appointment date because of scheduling conflicts. Finally, I called the company and told them if they couldn't just meet with me with the estimate than we wouldn't be using their company. The gentleman I spoke to (do not remember his name) was quite rude to me about the situation. Next thing I know, that gentleman is at my door, rudely saying he would do another estimate. I asked what happened with the original estimate? He had no clue. I told him that it was ridiculous that they were going to waste more of my time with another estimate. The gentleman rudely walked away and I never heard from them again. Very unprofessional company. And I believe that any company that insists that both spouses be home for an estimate is just bad business. I can see having both spouses present upon request of the work being done.

iddWork was poor, 3 of the windows were broken and they won't replace them. They claimed they would insulate around the windows and they didn't. Windows installed are of cheap construction and they measured wrong and put in different size windows than were originally there so the paint didn't match up around the molding. They covered up their mistake on the sizing with strips of wood that look cheap and are unfinished. Two of the windows were cut wrong and ripped when opened and another one has a piece of metal sticking out of it that cut my arm. They won't honor their warranty. I refused to pay balance until they fixed broken windows, they refused and took me to court and won. Their workmanship, price and materials are beyond poor, only good thing they had was an attorney. In asking around (other window installers) Kraz has a very bad reputation. My advise…stay away from them!

A Kraz representative was walking around the neighborhood when I was working outside one day. He asked if we were looking to do any work on the house. I told him no, we were paying off medical bills this year. Maybe next year. He said that any quote would be good for 1 year. I mentioned we would eventually need windows. So he set up an appointment for the following Friday. I just happened to have that day off so it worked out well. I got a follow up phone call on Thursday to confirm the appointment. Two reps showed up right on time and were very nice. They walked around the house taking measurements and chatting with me and the kids. When they were all done, the said they would return next week with a quote. I was somewhat annoyed that they had to come back since I wasn't about to take another day off work. But we agreed on a time after work on Tuesday. Tuesday comes around and the same two guys showed up, again, right on time. I expected them to walk in with a quote ready to go. But instead he pulled out the same measurement sheet from last week and no additional work had been done! He then proceeded to calculate everything out based on the options I wanted. It would have been much more efficient and less annoying to me to have done this all in one shot. At any rate, while he is quoting everything out, he keeps asking me how I'm going to pay and if I want to finance and such. I keep telling him I just want a quote and that I won't be buying anything today. The pressure was ratcheted up each time. He keeps showing me these great features of the windows and such. I honestly didn't think the windows themselves were that bad. I kinda liked them. But he kept on hammering me to close the deal. He even called his "boss" to see if the deal could get any sweeter. Of course, the "boss" came back with a quote so good the sales guy had "NEVER seen anything that low" and this was just "crazy" and the "boss" must have "lost his mind." The original quote on 4 standard windows had gone from $6,000 down to sub-$3,000. I can't tell you how much exactly but I'll get to that in a second. Of course it was a slow month and they were "way behind" on their quota. Give me a break. They must have really taken me for a sucker. I finally told them they had been good up to this point but they needed to chill out. They finally realized they weren't getting sale and retreated. The kicker is he started packing up his quote sheet. I asked if I could have it and he said they needed to turn it into the office but they would mail me a formal copy. It's been a month and a half and I STILL don't have the formal copy. At this point I assume none is forthcoming. I wasn't going to bother writing a bad review but the fact that they never actually mailed me anything confirms that they really didn't care about my business. They just wanted to push me around and into a sale on that day. I would not recommend Kraz to anyone!
