Owner Mark Ortiz showed up. He asked if he could look at my AC unit before he gives me a quote. He said the other company was full of you know what. Mark fixed my AC unit for $275.00. Even gave me 60 day warranty on his work and 3 year warranty on the part he replaced. Mark has my business for life!

This company raised the bar on the quality of service I now expect. Over the years I've used a few different service providers and this is the one I can recommend with confidence. The quality of the work was excellent, he was serious about making sure I understood the what and whys. He was knowledgeable, efficient, professional and one of the few people who actually care about doing things right and well. As always, it was an emergency situation due to a flood. I called a few different companies and he was one of the first to respond. After 24 hours I had prices from a couple companies and his was the fairest. I have to say that for me it's NOT always the cheapest quote that gets the job, there are many factors that come into play when I choose a contractor. He seemed to fit my requirements. The installation went smoothly and quickly and he followed up after a few days to make sure everything was okay. The price was exactly what he quoted. Since that time I have referred him to others and they have been very pleased with him as well. I've now decided to upgrade my system to expand the ductwork and zone the house and there is only one contractor I called, Collins Heating & Cooling. The project starts next week.

Our old radiant heating system (house was built in 1948) went out right in the middle of a extreme cold snap. I was in a panic to get a new system in place and started asking friends and relatives for a good HVAC guy. Mark was refereed to me by a friend, and I could not be happier with the service he provided. Having radiant heat meant I used my attic space (for 40 years) for nothing but storage, and there was literally no room left up there. I had to clear all of that out so he could install all the duct work and he was quite understanding and helpful in what was a very stressful situation. Never having a forced air system before Mark explained how a furnace works, the best places to put the registers, how it would differ from our old heating system and appropriately sized the unit for our home. He even helped with the tax credits available for installing a new efficient system. Once I cleared out all the the clutter in the attic, it did not take Mark and his assistant long to get the new system in place. He was upfront about his pricing, service fees and there were no 'surprises'. He and his assistant respected my home and made sure they did not leave a mess. Once the job was done Mark went over the importance of changing the filter out on a monthly basis. This helps to keep the furnace working at it's best, extend it's life and keep my energy costs down. We picked a 95% efficiency furnace (Rheem) which has a 10 year warranty on parts and 5 year warranty on labor. He also included first year of maintenance free and gave me a 6 month supply of filters. I also had him install a new 40 gallon water heater (Bradford White) and everything with that went just as well. You want someone honest, upfront, uses quality equipment and gets the job done.
