Team walked me thru the whole processes before starting. They were respectful of my property and customers. Roof looks great, would highly recommend.

They came out, looked at the leak that I had around the chimney, provided a fair quote and were able to begin work the next day. They took pictures of the before/during/after and provided them to me at the end. It was very helpful.

Five Star has covered roughly 40,000 Sq Ft of flat roof for me over the past 5 years without a single leak. I recommend them to everyone.

Since then they have been here a few times for repairs. A year after completion, we notices the coating was bubbling and contacted them to look at. Never did address the issue. Now after the 5 year labor warranty has expired, they will not acknowledge the many requests to address the issues and want me to pay for labor. I have notes of over 50 phone calls that were never returned or said they would get back to me and never did. Very poor customer service.

I contacted them to get the issue resolved, and received exceptionally poor customer service from the lady who answered the phone. She was swearing at me.

They guaranteed it to 120 miles per hour winds and when they put up the eaves, they hooked it to the roof and not the building. The whole roof came up and off and they tried to charge us again. We actually had to pay somebody else full price to replace the whole roof because they didn't attach it to the building. The roof was barely a year old. The price was between $15-20,000. The second company said they had never seen that before. They tried to charge us $1,500 to come and put a tarp over the roof after it blew off. We couldn't believe that price because it was supposed to be covered for 25 years and we had all the warranty paperwork. They said they couldn't help that the winds blew that hard. They have threatened to try to come and sue us. We didn’t like anything about them and would never use them again.

I had a signed contract with this company to place a flat roof on a commercial building. After paying my deposit for the work and waiting a few weeks, I finally had to call the company and see when someone was going to perform the work. I was told someone would be here on a Monday, on Friday when the crew finally showed up, they did not have the equipment needed to perform the work and cited that their paperwork was showing something different than what my roof looked like. The workers then tried to get me to rent a dumpster so they could remove the gravel on my roof(which they claimed to not know about). When I refused the workers left and claimed someone would be back at my building prior to noon on Monday, I waited until Friday before I called the company and that is when the run around started. There was no one there that could help me. I was finally able to speak to a supervisor (Nick) who stated he would have the salesman call me on Monday. I had to call back on Monday spoke with Nick again who stated someone would call me back within the hour, waited 2 hours then called again and spoke to Nick again who then informed me that the new price for my roof would be $8,100 dollars which was about $3,300 more than the original price, when I asked him why he wasn't standing by his original bid, he evaded the question, finally he stated we do not need your business and that a refund check for my deposit would be sent out. So I have no roof and the company did not stand by the signed contract that I have with them. Nick then hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was given Nick again, so the guy I had been talking to the whole time who acted like he could not answer my questions is the boss and just jerked me around for over a week before finally hanging up on me and not providing the services they agreed to provide.

After the initial roof replacement, Five Star has warranty repaired the same roof 5 times, and it is still leaking. Each time I have had them out to warranty repair the roof, it was a battle dealing with them to get them out. Response time is terrible, phone calls are never returned, and quality of service is very poor. My last attempt was to speak to the owner, Tammy Spegal, and give her the opportunity to try to make this right. I explained to her that at this point, I would be willing to pay a $15,000 quote from another company to come in and tear off and replace the entire roof rather than to have Five Star come out again. Her response was, ?Well, that is your option?. In further conversation with her, she became very defensive saying ?I do over a million dollars worth of roofs for other customers a year, if you feel the need to go to Angies List or the BBB, go ahead. I have other customers?. The conversation ended with her hanging up on me.
