Called and left message a couple of times. No call back either time. Did not try again. This is a local company that I wanted to support. Never got my chimney cleaned last fall. Will try somewhere again this summer, just not Kickin Ash.

Excellent and speedy service. David did all of the work in one day, including having the cap custom made to fit our chimney. He recommended the best materials to use and also diagnosed some additional problems with our chimney that will need to be repaired. We will use Kickin' Ash for those repairs as well.

I would recommend them.

David Hearne is good. He spent a long time out here with me explaining different things about the chimney, the chimney safety and different issues that people run into. He was very reasonable. I don't think the bill was more than $250 for both the chimneys. He gave me estimates to repair different things on my chimneys which I have not decided to do yet. Some are more urgent than the others. He is certified, licensed and insured. He is out of Lexington, Indiana, but he has to come over to Milford. He was very careful with what he did the last time. He does masonry work, fireplace reconstruction, dampers and caps. He spent a couple of hours here. I don't think there was really a trip charge, but if there was, then it wouldn't have been much for the amount of time he spent here. I had a lot of questions. I was getting the fireplace from another vendor because David doesn't sell fireplaces or wood stoves. So, I sent him notes about the different wood stoves and asked him about the chimney that I had to put the fireplace into. The house is older and there were a lot of different issues. He sent me many e-mails back and forth online at no extra charge. He gave me his opinion on the kind of things that I would run into or what my options were. He is a really nice guy. I think he used to be a school teacher. So, this is a kind of second career that he got into because I think his father-in-law did a lot of chimney work. So, he decided to go into this and he has been doing this for a couple of years now. I felt very safe with him in the house. He wasn't a scary repair guy. He was very professional, educative and knowledgeable of what he was doing. He was very happy to give me a lot of information. I would use his services in the future too.
