Scheduled an appointment for May 5th. They called and rescheduled for May 26th. Wife left work three hours early to be there for there window of 2 to 5 pm. I was called at 2:50 and informed they couldn't make it. This cost me a vacation day and my wife three hours pay. Very unprofessional.
Description of Work: Paid in advance for seasonal maintenance.

Mr. [Member Name Removed] did schedule an appointment on May 5th and due to weather it had to be rescheduled., we agreed to reschedule for May 26th. On May 26th we were set to go to the [Member Name Removed] residence, we had and emergency which caused the service tech to be delayed. When we called the residence to explain the delay Mr. [Member Name Removed] became very rude and and angry over the telephone, and demanded free services. We never cancelled the appointment for the 26th, howerver we did offer to reschedule. Mr. [Member Name Removed] at that time he demanded his prepayment of the services be refunded in which we have fully complied. Mr. [Member Name Removed] should have more compassion as he was the benefit of an emergency call last year when his drain plugged up and we delayed another customers appointment to go to his home first, thus keeping water from damaging his ceiling. We have to prioritize service calls as they come in sometimes this can cause delays in the schedule. Please keep in mind that at no time did this preventive maintenance service call prevent Mr. [Member Name Removed] from using his Air Conditioning system nor cause a no cooling situation. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused the [Member Name Removed] and have complied with the refunding of the [Member Name Removed]prepayment as requested, hopefully one day we mend our business relationship, as we valued their business. Description of Work: They are the worst people I’ve dealt with. They had a technician, Shane, who was supposed to be a top tier technician. He came to my house about 6 or 7 times and couldn’t figure out the problem. He wanted to come out an 8th time and wanted charge me $350 even though he couldn’t solve the problem. I asked to speak with the owner and I told him what happened. I had a different technician from a different company come out and they knew exactly how to fix the board and what adjustments needed to be made.

I'm sorry but we cannot find any service calls ran to this customer since 2010 and to my knowledge Mr. or Mrs. [Member Name Removed] has never contacted me directly via email, telephone or US Mail. We have thoroughly gone thru our records and even checked with our Service Tech Shayne and again cannot find any record of a recent service call. Sincerely Jeff Witham President

easy to make appt through the ofice, came out and gave estimate, suggested fix that none of the other companies sugested. every one else wanted to sell me a new unit, withams fixed the old one to get it through the season. I will call them back when I do replace this unit because I felt they were honest and fairly priced.

Called them and they came out and lit the pilot light charged $120. Next day no hot water. This time I called Nipsco and they said the coupler was bad and replaced it. No charge

The reason for the $120.00 charge was this call was completed after normal business hours (OT). Had the customer called us back there would have been no charge for the service as the call back would have been handled under our warranty. The customer didn't give us a chance to properly rectify the problem. We do however apologize for the inconvenience we caused the customer by not fixing the problem properly the first time. of the three companies i had out to my house they were the only ones who could correctly find and fix my AC they accomodated my work schedule pretty well. since they fixed it i've had no more problems

It would not have been better.
Description of Work: We had the really great fortune of having a repairman from Witham's here yesterday to repair our furnace. The man was professional and extremely helpful in his instructions. We wouldn't hesitate for a minute to tell everyone about these people. They've certainly brought back the 'old fashioned' idea of service, quality and professionalism, and pride in their work.

We called and Jeff, the owner was over within the hour to discuss our options. There was never any pressure to buy this as opposed to that in furnace brands. He explained that our old Carrier model may apply for a recall amount of $650.00 because of the very thing that put our furnace into a RED tag situation to begin with (carbon monoxide of 3500 ppm was being exhausted to our outside (thankfully) and we were losing 15% of our fuel as well). Well, within the hour we had 4 men bringing in a new furnace and removing our old one. They got the heat going and on Monday the returned to finish up the fine-tuning parts of the job. The job was done with the utmost care and making our furnace area looking neat and tidy. Jeff was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and as I mentioned before was not pressuring at all. We recommend Witham's with the highest regard.
Description of Work: Replaced our 20 year old Carrier furnace that was Red-tagged by NIPSCO earlier that morning.

The estimator, Jeff, arrived on time, was friendly and easy to talk to. He measured the living areas, duct size, and estimated the load requirements. He then provided proposed models that would meet my needs. The quoted price was on the high end and I was not in favor of the particular brand that Witham used. I chose a different contractor.
Description of Work: Provided a propsal to replace a 23 year old furnace, humidifier, air conditioner.

We purchased our furnace and air-conditioner from Witham's in 2008 after our old ones were destroyed in a flood. Witham's responded quickly then, and installed both systems speedily and well. We've had no problems with either system. In approximately 2010, we purchased the annual (optional) service contract. It includes twice-yearly servicing and puts us on a priority list for possible emergencies. Witham's phoned us to set up the servicing appointments, which we appreciated. We are satisfied with Witham's.
Description of Work: Witham's performed the autumn-winter servicing on our furnace which was purchased from them.

First of all, I had 3 estimates for this job. Witham's gave me a good price for a good product. The other 2 estimates were higher with lower quality product. From the start to the end of the installation, each time they left my home they cleaned up after themselves. Their installation was VERY professional. The Witham team went above and beyond my expectations. Being a mechanically inclined guy and once in the trade business myself, I know what I'm talking about. You will not regret using this Witham's! What an excellent company of people!
Description of Work: Removed old oil burning furnace and installed 2 stage gas furnace (Payne). Pumped out remaining heating oil from underground tank.

Please see above. We had a great experience. No one likes having to put out money for a new furnace, but we feel we got a great deal, and we know we get great service!
Description of Work: We have used Withams for some time for twice annual maintenance on out furnace and A/C. Last year we replaced our furnace. It was very old, but lasted so long due to regular maintenance, cleanings, etc by Witham's. Don, the tech who usually comes out is great. Jeff Witham the owner came out and showed us different options for a new furnace. We were very pleased and chose a higher efficiency furnace than our previous one. We have had no problems. We will continue our semi-annual maintenance service calls and hope this new furnace lasts 26 years or so, as the last one did.

Jeff, the owner came out to my house to look at our original furnance and proceeded to educate me on the technology advances that have happened in the last 12 years. He quoted me a fair price for the furnance and install, threw in a few extra goodies. We had the work done a couple of weeks later and we were very pleased with the quality of their work.

We did not go for the cheapest furnace, but a higher efficiency one that will help us save on utilities. We have used Witham for years here servicing and cleaning our system. It was an excellent experience. The service technician, Don, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of my questions that I had and patiently explained everything. I chose them because I had received two previous estimates and they were recommending replacing the boiler. Jeff, the owner of Withams, honestly recommended just servicing the boiler and his honesty was much appreciated.

They did a good job. They were on time, and did everything right. I have been happy with them. They are very responsive and punctual. The prices are a little high.
Description of Work: I used Witham's Heating & Cooling install a generator in my home and my brother n' laws home. It turned out that I needed another line because I have two sump pumps, so they installed that and didn't charge many any extra. I have them take care of my heating and air conditioning stuff.
