JACK'S WHOLESALE WINDOWS

The installation of the windows was fine, but the quality of the glass installed is defective and Jack's refuses to replace the glass in 4 of the windows unless I pay for the replacement glass. The glass is defective and looks like bubbled up mirror tinted windows. The Operations Manager stated it is caused by defective seal or something like that. Suggested I use Comet cleanser. Really??? The defect is in the glass, not on it. Refused to honor the unlimited warranty and suggested I was trying to get something for nothing. The nerve!!! I paid for the windows, Jack's didn't give them to me.

I want to put house up for sale on June 1 and needed 2 windows replaced. I contacted Jack's and another window provider on May 11. Jack's sent Steve out to see what I needed on the same day. He promised I could have windows installed in time although they were a custom size. The quote was higher than I expected but I had other windows installed by Jack's about 10 years ago and they are still like new. Additionally, their windows are guaranteed for life. This means that if the window is accidentally broken by a ball or object from mower, whatever, they will replace the window for free. Screens are also guaranteed. This house had been rented and screens on almost all windows were punctured by renters. Jack's took all the screens back to shop and will repair and return for no cost. With regard to the installation, they called on May 27 to confirm that they would be out to do installation May 28 between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Installers arrived at exactly 8:00 AM and began work. They were finished in less than two hours!. Windows look and work great. Trim on inside and outside of windows is perfect. After explaining the warranty and how to tilt windows in to clean, remove screens for cleaning and use security locks, they were done. I couldn't be happier. House will be ready for sale on June 1!

I said I wanted their best price & NO "back & forth". After I was given a price & told them that another company was going to quote, they said: "give us a chance to meet or beat the price". Sorry, I don't go for that. Give me your BEST PRICE and close the books.

Purchased a home with lifetime double pane window guarantee. 7 windows lost thier seal and discolored inside. Jack's said window supply company went out of business but they would stand behind their end of deal installing replacement windows at no charge if we paid for the new windows. Cost of new windows was reasonable. Jack's crew showed up on time and did an excellent job that looked as good as new when they were finished.

I was in the bathroom when the workers arrived, my son let them in and when I got out of the bathroom in less than a minute...all of my living room windows had been busted out with a hammer and they were laying their tools on top of Marine Corps gear, I explained the the guys...my husband was in Iraq at the time and they are not to touch anything with USMC on it. I was very clear yet they broke my USMC sun catcher. And they had someone drop off the children to play in my front yard while they worked! The new windows were jammed into the opening...they don't fit, they're too tight and they're causing the whole area to bow. I've called and called...nothing happens.

Very smooth and professional. No problems and they cleaned up worksite when done. This is second time I ordered windows from this company. I love my windows now!

Their pricing was reasonable. When the crew was working, they ran into a problem with 1 of the windows. The salesman did not write everything down that they were supposed to do to the window, so the crew did not have any idea that they were supposed to replace the seal on it. Then, they finally sorted the issue. They did a sloppy work on the corking, so we had to call them out again and to have them re-cork some windows. They also did not clean up very well and there was saw dust underneath the windows and we had to call them out again. I had another window that needed to be fixed and they did not have the right parts and so I had to wait for a month for them to get the right part. Then, they came out and they did not know how to put the part in. Then they had to call the manufacturer and I had to wait for 6 months before they fixed the window. I had also given them some screens to fix and they lost my screens and it took them 2 years before they finally found the screens. I had a bad experience with them.

They came in and repaired a different window, but not the one i'm having a problem with now. They will not honor any warranty's previous to Thanksgiving 2008.

Although we didn't use them, I'm fine with them. They fixed any problems, and they're great.

2 installers arrived in a timely fashion--1 experienced & 1 trainee. Remeasured space. This was the 4th time someone was measuring. Bought the wood necessary for all the windows. Came in and got to work on these 12, 55 year old windows that were original to the house. They never took a break--working from 9-2. When it looked like it was going to be a long day. Chad called in Shane to help and speed up the window removal while he and the trainee installed the 3 largest windows. Used 3-4 rolls on insulation in places around the windows that previously had no insulation. They were in constant motion on this tough and odd window installation. Seemed to know exactly what to do. Very pleasant crew. Did not mind my watching or my questions. Did a good job. Very little mess in the house. They cleaned up all the debris including cigarette butts.

Mr. Mazur arrived for estimate on 11-20-07 and ultimately offered a great price that I agreed to. My windows were ordered and were scheduled to be installed on 01-10-08. The installation crew arrived 30 min. before I could be home, and they contacted me to ask if they could start the outside work. By the time I arrived, they were ready to pull the old windows and put in the new ones. The crew was very friendly and respectful of my property inside and out. I watched them do some of the work, and I was amazed at how quickly the job was getting done. All said, I had crappy windows at 9 AM but by 2 PM I was inspecting the finished installation and signing off on the paperwork. I am very pleased with the quality of the results and intend to do more business with Jack's in the near future.

We specifically asked the salesperson if the installers were Jack's employees or subcontractors and they assured us they were employees. They lied. The installer said he was coming on a certain date, then another date, etc. He lied. The installers left hundreds of nails all around our house and garage and said they could not be picked up with a magnet. They lied. We bought a magnet and picked them up ourselves. They installers did not install our garage lights at the same height; siding is falling down, trim is bowing, etc. We called and they sent out a supervisor, who told us the installer was fired weeks ago, and he would send a crew out to make repairs. The crew came out but did not have everything they needed, so six more weeks and here we sit. We can't complain to the manager because he has left! The moral of the story is: Find someone else.

I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THE WORK AT ALL. I ASKED THEM TO REPLACE THE WOOD ON THE SOFFET AND THEY WOULDN'T DO IT. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER THEY WERE DONE, THE NAILS STARTED FALLING OUT. THE WORK WAS SHODDY AND THE PEOPLE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

THEY GAVE US AND ESTIMATE. THE ESTIMATE WHAT IT COST US TO HAVE THE JOB DONE. THE PRICE WAS EXTREMELY REASONABLE. THEY GAVE US AND ESTIMATE ON THE TIME OF THE JOB. IT WAS FINISHED FASTER THEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE DONE.

THEY WERE NOT VERY GOOD. THEY INSTALLED THE WINDOWS THE WRONG WAY. THEY INSTALLED A CRACKED WINDOW. THEY LIED WHEN THEY TOLD US THAT HEAT OR COLDNESS COULD NOT GET THROUGH THE WINDOWS.

JACK'S WHOLESALE WINDOWS AND SIDING IS A PRETTY GOOD COMPANY. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T CARE FOR WAS THAT I HAD TO GET AFTER THEM TO MAKE SURE REPAIRS WERE GETTING DONE.

THEY NEVER BROKE A WINDOW WHILE TAKING THEM OUT SO I GUESS THAT WAS A PLUS. I THINK THAT THEY DID EVERYTHING PROFESSIONALLY AND IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY DID GREAT.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. THEIR PRICES ARE WAY OUT IN LEFT FIELD. THEY ARE MESSY, MOST ALL OF THE WINDOWS ARE LEAKING. I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE COMPANY AT ALL.
