Great, would hire TLC plumbing again

I called them out to repair a toilet. They asked the brand over the phone. I told them. I also told them I needed a complete bowl package. I told them this so they would have all the parts they needed. The guy came out fixed half the problem then told me he would have to order parts. The parts he had to order was due to his adjustments. He removed a seal and could not get the new one to fit. He charged me $200.00. When i called to asked about the parts, i was told that there would be an additional $200.00 due to complete the work. I asked would they deduct the amount already charged for the toilet. I was told no. Then I was told that I could replace the toilet for $300.00. When I questioned why I was not told this information before the repair, I was told that this was an after market toilet.? What does that have to do with anything? They knew this before the appointment was made. I was given no consideration or choice in the decision that was made. I am out $200.00 and my toilet still does not work!!!

I called in the morning and had someone there by the afternoon and Daryl was awesome! He was diligent and immediately assessed the problem and never stopped working to take a break even though it was a hard, difficult job. He explained what he was doing the entire time and took care of the issue, which ended up being a lot of roots 70 feet down the line. I was really stressed out about having to find a plumber, as I've never had to call one before, and fortunately the issue wasn't as bad as it could have been and the cost was reasonable for what was done. I would highly recommend them to anyone. My sister recommended them to me after she had to use them several years ago with a similar problem. Thank you!

This company has a $20 coupon on its website and no where did it state that the coupon must be printed and presented at the time of service. TLC refused to honor the coupon at time of service. I called TLC this morning to schedule a service call. I asked whether the $20 coupon advertised on their website would apply to this service and was told yes. I told TLC that I would be at work when they came that day, but would leave a check that my kids' babysitter could fill in the amount after service was rendered. The Coupon on the website did not state anywhere that it must be printed and presented at the time of service. The person at TLC did not tell me when I specifically asked if the coupon would apply that it needed to be presented in writing. The service provider refused to honor the coupon when the babysitter went to fill in the amount due and owing. The babysitter was upset and called both me and my husband at work. We advised her of the above but the service provider continued to refuse to honor the coupon and the agreement that it would apply. We instructed her to pay without the adjustment for the coupon because we were not there to resolve the issue. I called the owner later and explained the above and specifically told her that that was not ethical to take the position that the coupon needed to be presented at the time of service since I was never told that when I specifically asked TLC and also it was not on the website. TLC's owner refused to honor the coupon despite my explaining the details above. Her statements: "if I had to print it out to attach to the invoice, I'd be out the cost of the paper"; "if we let anyone who saw the coupon use it that would be everyone"; "everyone knows all coupons must be printed out". Dishonest and unethical. While I do not care about the money, I care about the principle of such behavior.

well. service coordinator very accommodating. serviceman right on time, friendly, and very straight forward/informative regarding what went wrong with sump pump. also very respectful in keeping the area clean. lower cost because we actually bought the sump pump prior to service appt.

Great job explained everything and gave me advice to help with avoiding the problem in the future

I don't know how they do on work but I know their estimate was a little high. I think it was mostly competitive with everybody else. I just happened to find a plumber a little cheaper. I think it took them a little while to get us the estimate. It had the right amount of information on it to me. We had to leave a message for them to give us a quote. It wasn't that much interaction with them at all. They weren't professional enough to give us a quote in a timely manner and really deal with us in person.

They did a great job. They were very professional and nest. they made sure that they cleaned up after themselves and explained what they did. They were very helpful in telling me how to prevent the problem in the future and if the problem does occur where to have the future plumbers look.

The lady in the office took my initial request and arranged exactly the right people to come out and see me. She then arranged an appropriate time, checked with me the day before, and also gave me a call when the plumber was on their way. I appreciate the constant communication. The plumbers were professional and agreed to everything up front. I will always be using these guys in the future for my plumbing needs.

I am not an easy customer. I changed my mind on the flooring. I couldn't decide on a paint. It took me forever to select a vanity. And I bought a particularly difficult light fixture. Last year I had the downstairs bathroom done, and had a horrible experience. So I was a bit of a nag going into this. The guys at TLC stuck with me through the whole project and were nothing but kind and professional. This company will give you an honest estimate. But in my case, since I changed my mind and because the house is old, the price was over the estimate. Nobody's fault. I knew it would be expensive. And you get what you pay for. The room is beautiful and a pleasure to use. I couldn't be happier.

Very well. The repairman had to leave to acquire a part; returned promptly and all repairs were complete within an hour.

Mike Slinger was FANTASTIC. The bid came in right on the money. He was very knowledgable and friendly. He was always on time and solved the surprise issues like a pro.

The guy did a good review and started where it made more sense to start. He figured out that the line from the floor drain to the main was clogged and proceeded to unclog it. The work he did was good and proved it was all clear now. My problem was with the final bill. It's a $110 for the first hour. He made a call and came back with a $180 bill! The work was in less than an hour so I was a bit surprised. The guy thought it was rounded up thinking it was more but i told him by the time he organized his equipment in his truck after fnishing the work we were still at 56 minutes! He made a call and asked them he said they charged me for a whole container of their declogging solution at the tune of $70! He told them that he only used a few cups so they dropped it down to $130. I had a $20 coupon. Here is what I don't like and I hope the person on the other end of the phone call puts themselves in our shoes. It was easy to over charge me.. If they were in my shoes they wouldn't want that, they'd want the the person doing the service to treat me as they would want to be treated and make sure charges are true and most importantly Fair. Had I not asked, I would've paid $40 more for absolutely no reason. That I didn't like. Second thing I didn't like... the person on the phone when I made the appointment and agreeing to the $110 fee that there is this magic solution that I'd have to pay $70 for ever so easily! I felt like I should've known. I want to know what this solution is and why is it so expensive.. that will allow me to shop around and do what is FAIR for me. Money doesn't grow on trees and I don't want to be overcharged. That is my story and I hope it helps people and helps TLC or any company look at us as people with hard earned money. I would still use them again but I would be extra cautious and ask a lot of questions and make sure charges make sense.

He was on time, he was very personable. He explained what my problem was even though I had an additional problem that we didn't address that day, but he told me how I could resolve it for future reference while he was fixing the problem I had. He as excellent. He was very good.

Service was great. Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable plumber. I will definitely use TLC for any future plumbing needs.

There was nothing in particular that caused me to have a WOW moment. They came and did the job, the inspection. They provided a lot of information so I would say their professionalism stood out. They quoted their price up front and they stuck to it.

When our old water heater started leaking, I knew there was a problem and that we needed a new one fast. I called TLC after reading the review on Angie's List, even though it was Sunday night. I was thrilled to death when the owner called me back within the hour, and we discussed putting in a new water heater ASAP. His guy was at my house the next morning by 9 a.m., and the new water heater install finished a few hours later. He took away the old equipment and disposed of it, too, so I didn't have to, which was awesome. It's a month later now, and it looks as though the new water heater TLC installed is leaking occasionally. I plan to call Terry back and see if he can send someone out soon to see if it needs adjustment, or is just a dud. While I was thrilled with his responsiveness, and the professionalism of his plumber who came to the house, I'm worried about what is causing this leak. So while initially loving everything they did, I am now growing concerned. That's why I gave the "quality" and "overall" ratings for TLC a "B" - because I'm not sure whether or not this new water heater will need to be replaced, too, and if it does, whether they have a guarantee that would cover a new heater and install. UPDATE - I don't know why the water heater was leaking from the top pipe, but it has now stopped. No worries!

They came out to look at the job the morning they were called. Worked for two days and replaced the clay pipe that had crumbled. We were happy with the work and results.

They do plumbing and furnace and AC. They responded quickly and they were here on time. If I could not get the present provider I would use them.

I am not a plumber. All I can say is that all the explanations made a lot of sense to me and at the end of it all worked super.

We explained that we had already checked all of the plumbing directly under the sink and he agreed that the clog was further down the wall. Brought in his snake and went down 15ft to reach what ever was creating a clog. It was over in 20 min. He cleaned up the extra water and the floor area where he was working and was very professional about everything.

I dropped a heavy object on the plastic pipe in the basement leading from the well to the water softener. It was a disaster, with water pouring in and quickly covering the basement floor with about an inch of water until I could cut the power to the well pump. I called TLC and Jim came out and was right on time. He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He was really terrific and he made the necessary repair without any trouble at all. He was very friendly and professional and really a pleasure to work with. I would definitely call TLC again for any future work!

Could not work in my area. It was to far away from their home area. I live about 20+ miles from their home base. They gave me another name of an A grade service that is located in my area. Thank you TLC.

We had TLC install new stationary tubs and repipe a large section with copper. The installation was flawless. The plumber doing the job obviously had considerable experience working with copper. We were so pleased with that job that we hired TLC to install a black pipe gas line. Both jobs were started and completed when promised. We would gladly recommend TLC to anyone who wants quality work performed by and experienced plumber.
