 + -1 moreIt was really a great experience. Elvin was the only one to reply to my initial inquiry. We agreed on a time for him to inspect and bid the job and he showed up exactly at the scheduled time. I wanted a quote on installing a trap in a concrete floor but when Elvin started looking at the project he informed me there was already a trap there. He told me I was all set and could continue with my project. I can't begin to express how much I appreciate his honesty. For all I knew, I needed a lot of costly work done but he told me no, I didn't. I for sure will be calling Elvin for any other future plumbing work I need done.
Description of Work: I asked Blacks for a bid on putting in a trap and floor drain in a concrete floor. Elvin Black showed up and inspected the job.

Description of Work: installed: plumbing for kitchen sink,,bathroom sink ,toilet and shower. Left job without notification, had to call after several days to find out when he was coming back. Refused to install shower until he was pressed as he originally said it was part of the job, L he said "I don't do glass." (shower doors) I believe his A rating is inaccurate, due to this I am very hesitant to use Angies llist again. I WOULD NOT USE OR RECOMMEND BLACKS PLUMBING. Better investigation of professionals is needed before recommendation on Angies list. Unlikely I would renew my membership due to this experience.

 + -1 morePlumbers came out on a saturday afternoon and had the problem diagnosed and resolved quickly. They were courteous and I would use them again. I had contacted another local plumber the day before to explain the issue and he said perhaps I needed a dishwasher repair service call and he couldn't come until until Tuesday at the earliest. Thanks Blacks Plumbing!!
Description of Work: I had a dishwasher that wasn't draining. Before I purchased this house, someone had installed a brand new garbage disposal which worked fine; however, the previous installer did not punch out the necessary hole for the dishwasher drain hose. While the drain hose was connected properly, the dishwasher could not drain

Description of Work: Elvin came to my property because I had a leak in the basement. Because I just brought the property I didn't know if the sump pumps was working. Found out that the cord was in the water and the pipes weren't hook-up. He came and check the pump, plugged it in and it worked. Hook-up the pipes so that it could flow out side. No problems. He didn't charge me a cover charged or anything. That's great considering he hadn't done any work for me as of yet.

 + -1 moreThe contractor was very kind and honest, did a through inspection to make sure there weren't any leaks and when on his way. Didn't give me a hard time for not using his services, he was a straight shooter but very courteous, my kind of guy. Will definitely call again.

 + -1 moreBlack's did a very professional job from start to finish. They cleaned up after all work was done.
Description of Work: Black's had to break up my kitchen floor to repair a cracked sink drain line. They completely sealed off the area to minimize dust. They only broke out as far as was needed to replace the drain, doing it in stages till they got to and repaired the problem. When finished, they re-set the hole with concrete.
