I was very pleased with the service provided. Mark, with whom I conversed on the phone and scheduled my appointment for the following day, and James and Nick, the team that visited my house and completed the task, all communicated well and were pleasant and professional. The carcass was in a location that was inaccessible without either breaking a basement window or prying deck planks: James and Nick evaluated the options carefully and discussed them with me; they used the latter method, worked efficiently, and did a very good job of replacing the planks that they had removed and cleaning up when they were finished. They also discussed with me how I might prevent the problem from recurring.
Description of Work: Removal of opossum that died under our deck and caused a stench in our basement.

We called Mark in the morning and left him a voicemail. He promptly called back and had someone to our house before noon. The individual was professional and courteous. His inspection seemed thorough and he explained what he believed the issue to be. I am still waiting on an estimate for the remaining needs and will see how things go with the raccoons not returning; but we were very impressed by their quick response and professionalism so far.

It went very well. I called Mark who scheduled a visit within 48h. Cody came over and inspected the attic and the roof. He's courteous and very professional. He found the presence of squirrel/s and birds. He suggested potential sollutions. A few days later a squirrel got trapped and the potential entry points repaired. No more intruders and the attic is quiet again. Great job.

Bruce Graves sent us a 16 page "estimate", totaling $3,532.87. I contacted Bruce on the phone and stated that we did not ask for anything other than as estimate to block the access where they were getting into the crawl space, and he acknowledged that there we no raccoons under there at the time they visited the house. Bruce went on to say, "I know its a lot of money, but most people just turn it in on their home owners insurance." Sure they do, Bruce. I replied via email the same day he sent me the estimate for work we never asked for (July 15, 2015), stating "We would just like you to patch the hole so they can no longer get in there at this time." From that point forward, he never replied to my email and I left two follow up voicemails with Bruce that he never returned. In October 2015, I received a phone call from Ashwood Financial, a collections company stating that we owed Wildlife Rescue and Control Inc. $165 for their trip to the house to provide the estimate. I informed this person that we were never informed that there would be a $165 charge for an estimate and furthermore, we never even received a bill, nor did anyone from the company ever follow up with us or return our phone calls. Their website clearly states "Free estimates" under the Why Choose Us section at the bottom of their home page: [*** Link removed ***] So it seems that this company is scamming people that call them for estimates. If you don't accept their bloated pricing for work you didn't ask for, and either just pay it or turn it in on your home owners insurance, they childishly retaliate, in this case by sending us to collections for an "estimate" bill for $165 we never received or knew existed. Ashwood Financial was able to place this on my credit report as an unpaid "collection", doing untold damage to my credit, much to the amazement of my attorney who has now gotten involved in this matter.
Description of Work: We called them to ask about getting an estimate for coming out and blocking access to the crawl space of our home where we knew raccoons had been getting under the house.

We had discovered bats in our attic (saw a few droppings and actually saw one bat hanging). The owner, Bruce, came over to check out our attic. There is a portion of the attic that was almost inaccessible. He brought one of his employees over who was able to crawl back into the inaccessible portion of the attic and that is where they discovered the extensive damage (droppings from the bats). He took photos and then Bruce took care of everything with the insurance company. Taking out the entire attic's insulation, cleaning up, repairing the holes and replacing the insulation was a big job. They did it in a timely and efficient manner. They were always on time. My friends kept saying how stressful the situation must be, but Bruce and his team made it stress free! The only thing I had to do was take things out of the closet where we were adding the access door. Wildlife Rescue and Control did everything else. I felt very comfortable with the employees who were in my home for several days. They were very hard workers and they did a wonderful job. I wouldn't call anyone else for this type of work. I HIGHLY recommend Wildlife Rescue and Control.
Description of Work: Wildlife Rescue and Control excluded bats from the attic (done by closing any holes except the one that appears to be the main entry). After about a week you can assume all bats are gone and the final hole was closed. I was happy that bats were not harmed (they are protected). Then the real work began. They brought everything out of the attic and put it in our garage and wiped it down. They removed ALL of our attic insulation. They cleaned the attic. They put down new particle board for flooring. A door was created, trimmed out and painted to allow access through a closet to a previously inaccessible area (this was the area where the bats were). Now we can monitor that area plus we have more storage. They checked our other attic spaces. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They replaced a rotted soffit and painted it. The rotted soffit turned out to be a good place to put the large hose used to suck out all the droppings, etc. This way they didn't have to go through the house. Some insulation was bagged up and thrown into the dumpster from a window. The room stayed very clean, but they even had the carpets cleaned for us afterwards. They really took care of everything.

Someone came and confirmed that we had a raccoon living under our house. They left a trap, but because it was the weekend, they didn't actually set the trap. Said someone would come back on Monday and set it. We left for a trip, and when we returned the following week, the trap was gone. Called to ask what happened, and they came back and left a trap baited, but left it wired open for the next week. This went on for the next month--if the trap was baited, it was usually wired open; if it was set, there was no bait. During this time I did get an estimate from them for remediation of raccoon damage in the crawl space. Finally we set and baited the trap ourselves and caught the raccoon within two hours. Called them, and they did come and pick up the mother raccoon the next day. But by this time there were babies. They told me I had to listen for the babies to cry so they could find them, but three days I called someone else to get another estimate for remediation of the damage caused by the raccoon, and he found the babies within about four feet of the crawl space opening.

Things went very well. I got a phone call a little before the man arrived to look at my attic. He was very professional. I answered a few more questions about the sounds I had been hearing. He said I may have mice instead of a squirrel or racoon, but that he would inspect. He thoroughly inspected the outside and then went into the attic. Later, he came back down and told me what he had learned. He even took pictures while he was in the attic so he could show them to me. It turned out I only had mice. He said that dealing with mice wasn't really his company's area of expertise, but he recommended a few exterminators and even gave me some advice on getting rid of the mice myself with products I could buy at the hardware store. The best part of the whole thing was that he didn't charge me anything. When he left I felt much better about the situation. I still had mice, but the situation wasn't as serious as it might have been and also I now had an idea on how to fix the problem. If I ever do get a racoon or squirrel in my house, then I'll definitely call Wildlife Rescue & Control, Inc. first!
Description of Work: I had been hearing noises in my attic. I called and they said I may have squirrels or racoons. Services that would or could be performed were mentioned and pricing was clearly explained to me. I asked them to come out and they gave me a two hour window the next day when someone would come by. They said I would receive a phone call the next day a little before they would arrive.

The raccoons had been up there a very long time and there was a lot of excrement and fur in our attic. They removed the animal but charged us an extra fee to cut a hole in the roof and get a dumpster to clean out everything. We gladly paid since my husband was very sick we did not want him to be exposed to the waste. They ended up just carrying everything through our home in bags and took it away. We asked for a refund since they did not cut the hole or use the dumpster. They were supposed to pay that and we never heard anything back. We are still waiting for our refund.

He was extremely nice. He went all through the attic looking for any animals. He was here for about an hour. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find anything. He told me if we continue to hear noises to let them know and they will come back and set up some traps. We got his name from our insurance company.

I am not having any luck getting him to call me back. I wanted him to come out and do something else to try to get rid of these squirrels. We have been working on it for a month. They are causing allergic reactions. When they came out, they only re-baited the traps. I called Saturday and told him to come out, called him (Monday) this morning, still haven't came out, waiting on his call. He was going to call me as soon as he knew which route he was going to take. They have done work before and been very satisfactory, but not this time.

This was the worst time of the year to do this. They are a bit lax on being responsive. They take their time getting back to you. This was a day and a quarter job. Once they were out, things started to move quickly. I really can't complain about them. We'll know next year if the treatment was successful. I have no basis for comparison with their price.
Description of Work: They set traps, but those didn't work. They came back about 12 days later and aerated the place and fumigated the attic. They carried the raccoon waste out. They put new insulation in. They built back up the soffit in the eave from where the raccoons had chewed through. They inspected the area to make sure there were no other openings.

Traps were set in hole, then squirrel was discovered in the trap. Attic space was then eval'd for damage from squirrel and if environmental rehab was needed. None was. We tried to arrange for hole to be fixed. A couple calls were made, I was told by one guy who answered the phone that someone would call me back and arrange to fix it. No one ever called me back. 10 days later, 2 guys randomly showed up, start fixing the hole without telling me and then leave without telling me. Then about a week after we got a bill higher than quoted to my husband. We never received a written quote. The bill also charged us for extended 3 yr warranty of which we had no knowledge of and stated that the repair was for raccoon removal rather than squirrel. Then when my husband called to ask about the bill, never saying that he didn't intend to pay, Randy threatened to come rip the hole open and send the bill to collections. This Co. is totally unprofessional. Don't use them.
