Wesley Design & Contracting

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out fine. I thought the Big Deal price was good.

They were about an hour late due to vehicle problems but got to work right away. They were very neat and orderly as well as being friendly and professional. They did a great job getting everything done. My only complaint is that they left the boxes from the new lights on the ground where the lights were installed and did not dispose of them.

They worked very hard and were cheerful about it!

We had purchased a big deal for the service. I bought the big deal, so that I could have all the work done, and I made an appointment, and it was supposed to be for 80 Dollars. I never heard back from them, and so I took a day off from work on the day they were supposed to come. I waited around, and nobody came, and so at around 11.30 I called, and got the receptionist, and she said that they will be there, they were finishing a job. It wasn't clear, and I didn't ask, but I assumed I would get one person for 8 hours as opposed to several people for 8 man hours, but that was okay. There was lack of communication. When they arrived, they called and said they were on their way, and I did get my job done, but I thought they were a little unprofessional. One of the things that struck me, was that they told me that they had come from a landscaping job, and it had been pretty wet. They tracked mud all over my house, and never said anything about it. They left debris in every place that they worked, and I am kind of used to them cleaning up after themselves. The thing with the mud was very odd. I got my jobs done, but there were a couple of things that were unproffesional. There was the owner Lesley, and there was this younger guy whose name was also Lesley, and he had been installing this light fixture in the basement. He came out to tell me about it, and his phone had this music playing really loud. He came up to talk to me, and he never turned his music down, I thought that was a little odd too. I thought they should refine their approach. I was happy that they got the job done. Most of the work done was pretty good, but some of the lights didn't lie flat. He fixed the gutter, and while he was up there, he gave me an assessment of the roof, so there were pluses as well. There was no additional charge, other than the supplies that I had to get, but I knew about that. I was a little concerned, as I didn't get a confirmation call. I would probably not use them again, because what they did for me will not be needed to be done now.

After the first day I was able to leave them on their own and for me a plus was I could trust them to not allow my pets to leave the house. The company was very "pet friendly".

Charles came to our house and we showed him what we wanted done. He had a special running and he thought he could get everything completed in the allocated time frame. They were very punctual and ready to work, Once started they installed lights at 45 degree angles because of slanted and vaulted ceilings. We had them take down the lighting got solution from Lowes electrical tech at store. Once done correctly the lighting turned out great.. The two assistants for Charles were arguing at the end of the day complaining about not our job to this or taking way to much time on putting a lighting fixture up. Also one of the bathroom lighting fixtures was moved to work and left a large hole in wall and exposed wiring. No repair to hole was made (not there job). One towel rack was hung not even and needed to be redone. We called Wesley Design using Charles Cell Phone but he never responded back 4 calls were made to him. We now have to look for dry wall tech. and electrical tech to be sure the wiring for that bathroom light is in code

Everything was great. Did tons more work than i expected for the time available. Will hire agian next spring for upcoming jobs.

They had been trying to contact me via my Message Center and I hadn't realized that's where they would contact me at. However, last Tuesday, I called Charles and left a message, as well as sent an email and didn't receive a response. I called Angie's List and had an employee reach out to the company and they emailed me stating they would call me within a few days, since their phone had fallen into water, but I still have not heard from them.

Went very well. Arrived and finished on time. The painters were very neat. When they left, everything was as promised.

Charles and his crew showed up on time and did a thorough job of the project at hand. They walked me through the work that was accomplished when it was completed and gave me some recommendations on things I should be doing. I would recommend them.

The whole thing was a fiasco from when they got there. I told them what I needed was I had paneling in my living room. The seams needed sealed/mudded. He leaned towards the mudding. He said it was most cost effective. He was to mud and sand those areas and rebuild a garage door for me. They mudded some of the seams in the living room and that was all that got done. It took them four hours. My living room is very small. They did not do all of them, and what they did do was a mess. They got mud in my carpet. They moved my tv back where they had gotten mud in the carpet so I did not notice it later until I had moved the tv. It had to be remudded again. The girl that repainted the hallway spilled paint. I had a birthday dinner planned for my daughter and I had to cancel it because everything was in such disarray. I had all of furniture in the middle of the room and one of the workers sat down on the arm of my chair. They were also supposed to paint and they did not do that. I just thought they were very unprofessional.

Mr. Wesley gave me a fair price on an estimate and was able to schedule in a timely fashion. He came with a team of two other guys to help with the work. They were all very nice, did great work and kept me posted throughout the process. There was a couple issues that came up and he gave me options on what I wanted to do. They came back when my bathroom cabinets came in and fit them into the space where it needed to go. Good communication throughout the whole process.

We did have to call each other back fourth to schedule the appointment. They came on the day that they said they would. They even completed the work while I was not home. The work went fine.

They did most of what I expected. I don' think they know how to trim shrubs properly. I had to go back and shape them the best I could. The shrubs were trimmed pretty severely. The beds were cleaned but some were left out. They left about an hour early although I paid the full amount.

Excellent value and work performed. Very happy with provider.

They get an F. They did not bag all that they cut. They hind it behind their truck as they pulled away there was a large pile to yard cuts . My husband had to cut up the yard trash and bag it It took him 3more hours of work. I would not have them back again or tell anyone about them. What they did is not service, and they know it. They keeper calling agieslist trying to get me rate them so here it is. I do not want them at my house

The work turned out fine. Two men completed the work at five hours each. They were very good about the time commitment and even worked a little extra. They were hard working and did a pretty good job. I think I had more work than what could be completed in the time allotted through the deal. They communicated well, arrived at the scheduled time, and did everything that I asked them to do.

Two men arrived on time, friendly and courteous. They worked so hard in 90 degree heat and got so much done: removing sod, digging new flower beds, tilling soil and adding my compost. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. I didn't realize so much could get done in 4 hours!

I contacted Wesley Design & Contracting a couple of weeks ago and left a message for Mr. Wesley. He responded immediately and came out a few days later to look over my project and give me an estimate to finish my patio. He was punctual that first time but that was where it ended. I scheduled a crew to come out today (October 7, 2013) at "about 9:00am" as the secretary put it. My wife put it in her calendar as she is the one who would be home at the time of their arrival and had it all set up for them to come. My wife set her alarm to be sure she was up and ready for them, but 9:00am came and went and no one showed up or called. (We have a 6 month old daughter so sleep is hard to come by and it just so happen that today our daughter decided to sleep in which means my wife could have as well had she known no one would show up) My wife let me know that they didn't show up so around 11:00am I called the secretary and left a message asking if there was a miscommunication or a misunderstanding on my part as far as when they would be there. She called me back about an hour later and apologized for not letting us know but that they had been set back due to a rainy weekend and had other clients they had to finish up with before they were able to get to my patio. I understood the issue as it had rained very heavily all weekend. I was not upset that they were unable to come, I was upset that they neglected to call and tell me in advanced so that we were not waiting around on them to get there. She assured me that they would still be out today but it would be "sometime this afternoon" and that she would give me a heads up before they came. I said that was fine and went on with my day. The afternoon came and went and before I knew it, it was 5:00pm and we had yet to hear from anyone and no one had shown up. After the second time of not calling or showing up I decided to email the secretary and tell her to just cancel us all together. A couple of hours later I received an email saying that they were sorry the rain held them up but that they would be happy to reschedule with us. There was no apology for the lack of communication and professionalism. They seemed to think I was upset that the rain delayed them from coming when in fact I was only disappointed in the lack of communication on their end. Mr. Wesley was a very nice guy when he came out to give me the estimate but the lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service was enough for me to write them off. I will be finding another landscape company that is willing to communicate with me when plans change.

They showed up about a half hour late and did a pretty good job cleaning and trimming our yard area. When they were done, we showed them some additional landscaping work that we wanted to have done and asked for an estimate. They said they would get back to us. We are still waiting for a reply. I guess they do not need the work but it would have been considerate to at least reply and tell us that they were not interested. We have hired another company to do the work.

Two men showed up on time and worked hard, and fast. I was pleased with how much work they got done in the allotted time. Charles was careful to explain other services they provide which we will keep in mind for future projects. It was also nice to have a "Big Deal" for a company that works on the south side. It seems like many of the "deals" are for other areas of Indianapolis which is sometimes disappointing, so Thank You.

We found Charles to be very personable and professional. He was on time. He did a great job and we will have him come back sometime. We recommend him to everyone.

How'd it go? AMAZING! Charles & his crew did such a fantastic job I can only explain it as if they did for my house what they would do for their own! Charles & Brittany were very responsive....showed up on the day & time of the scheduled appointment and did a FANTASTIC job! I asked Charles to take 'before' & 'after' pictures (since I did not have the time to do so). I want to put them on Angie's list, but truthfully, they won't do justice to the work or splendor of their art!!! They did such an amazing job that I called them up & asked them to "finish it up" & do the N, W and South side of the house! Again, the same SUPER job!!! This company "rocks"! I will ask to have them back later this fall to put in some mulch & put me on their schedule for next SPRING! They are so nice and so easy to work with!!! It's so nice to have such quality and pride in workmanship! Thank you Angie's List and Thank YOU Wesley Design & Contracting!!! You have a loyal customer!!! I have told all my friends, family & anyone who wants to listen about Wesley Design & Charles!!!

The company came out to look at the potential job. The estimate, even with the coupon was double that of what similar companies had quoted. I inquired as to why it was so high, but received no response. I'd prefer to receive a refund on the deal & will be going with another Angie's List affiliated company. Thanks.

The two workers showed up right on time for the job. The office worker was very responsive to my emails and questions. The two men did a great job with the difficult work and provided advice for dealing with that area of our yard in the future. They also did a good job with clean up after. I would hire them again.
