Walt's Affordable Tree Care

The company came into town just after Hurricane Ian hit SW Florida, over charged, and did not complete the job as described. When asked multiple times to come back, he first said he would, then after a couple weeks he made excuses and was unprofessional. I had to hire another company to finish the job. Be aware.

Started one week ahead of schedule, trees cut down within two days. Delayed on picking up brush because his truck was full. Stump guys was contracted by Walt (A & M Tree Service) and I know this because he was passing out his business cards for his own company while working for Walt. Stump guy started removing stump and ran out of gas, had to stop then come back. Next day something went wrong with the stump grinder and took him two more days to come back out. All stumps were left at least three inches above the ground and a large tree stump was at least six inches above ground. Was told that once I remove the clippings he would be back out to finish the grinding. Paid Walt $2800 for this work and he paid stump guy (that is when we realized he was contracted by Walt. I made numerous calls to Walt stating that the stump guy had not come back out to finish. Heard every excuse in the book why he hadn't been back even, "contract was not with A&M but with Walt". Two months of trying to get someone back out went by, my husband contacted Walt and gave him one week to get this resolved. No reply or show. Because of safety with Grand-kids, we had to hire someone else to remove the stumps down six inches below ground and cost us and extra $200.00. Therefore, we are out a total of $3000.00 for services of tree and stump removal.

Trees were cut down quickly and most of the debris hauled away. Rain delayed starting in the morning but they showed up in the afternoon and worked until dark and completed the next day. They recommended a company for stump removal and arranged for them to remove the stumps which was started immediately.

Walt (owner) quoted price to remove a tree and all debri, branches, limbs etc.Skillfully cut the tree down. Stated his trailer/truck was full of branches/debri from prior jobs but Would return for the cleanUp.That was December. Since then I have called Walt regularly. At first it was, "Oh, I sent my men over there to pick it up, did they not? I will get them to do that right away." That was FebruaryAgain Walt has informed me, "Im on a job right now but will swing by there later today." That was alll of March.Now in April it is, "This weekend I will definitely be by to remove the limbs/debri"Brush/Limbs/Debri still at the house. Now today when contacted, many an F-bomb dropped by Walt stating he wasnt leaving a $7000 job to remove the debri.Avoid this contractor. He is not a man of his word and has proven this over and over and over, and furthermore lacks the professionalism to deal with customers.
