Vista Cleaners

Their pricing is very reasonable and a lot less than other companies. The owner is trying to build his business so he runs specials all time. They always do everything properly the way you tell them to do it and the clothes are always back the next day. Their company is not so big that they just cannot get to everything. They have an alteration lady in the store. If you have got some torn leather, they can fix that. They are expanding their business but also keeping it small enough that the prices are not outrageous. I would not deal with them if they do not do a good job.

I had previous good experiences with this cleaners for alterations and laundry, so I asked them if they did leather cleaning - my expensive hat was in need of a good cleaning. They said that they did, but it was outsourced to Sunshine Cleaners, so payment for the service would be up front. I was promised a 2-week turn-around on the cleaning. Two weeks later, I called to see if my hat was in, and was told that the clerk has messed up on the scheduling - the hat was just sent out the day before, and would not be back for TWO MORE WEEKS. Two weeks later (August), I called and they said thehat had arrived. When I picked it up, it was DESTROYED: the braided hat band was unbraided, and the suede-side of the leather was in strings and pills. The wire that runs through the outside of the brim was broken and protruding from the hat. They agreed that the hat was damaged, but gave me the unsatisfactory response that since they outsourced the cleaning, it would be up to Sunshine to make it good - they had no liability in this. I agreed to let Sunshine make good one it, which required sending the hat back to them TWO WEEKS LATER. I then waited over a WEEK for a response, and I was told that they would: 1. Repair the hatband, 2. refund the cleaning fee, and 3. give $10 for the loss on the hat, since it was 3-4 years old. While I was UNDERWHELMED by this, I accepted it, on the condition that, obviously, I received the hat back with the hatband repaired. I had to wait another WEEK for the hat to be returned to Vista. When I went into the cleaners, they did give me the $40.00, but the hat was not there. This was mid-SEPTEMBER. They could not get in touch with Sunshine to find the hat's location on that day, so I gave them my Alabama address (I am not in Indianapolis all the time - I am a contractor). They said they would mail it or have Sunshine ship it the NEXT WEEK. THIS DID NOT OCCUR!!!! As of OCTOBER 8, I still have not received the hat from Vista or Sunshine - I have been promised it will be shipped to me BY THE END OF THE WEEK WHEN THE WORK IS COMPLETED!!!! While I realize that Sunshine was responsible for the original damage, and may have been responsible for many of the delays, I feel that VISTA failed in their responsibility to make sure I, their customer, was taken care of. They have continuously pushed the responsibility to the subcontractor, but, in my thinking, they are responsible for my dismal experience with their company with their spineless handling of my concerns and complaints.

The price is good, quick turn around and a very friendly staff.

When my wife went to pick up the featherbed, she noticed a corner of it had been ripped. There were feathers everywhere. Also, stains were still on the featherbed, which was upsetting because stain removal was the reason we took it to them in the first place. A worker apologized to my wife, said they would fix the corner, and asked to her come back at another time. When she did come back, the owner of Vista Cleaners was incredibly rude to her! We were not only charged for the cleaning ($40), but also for the cost of the repair ($10); repair for damage they had done. Basically, our experience with them was a disaster!
