Description of Work: Terry and his crew were very unresponsive. It took them more than a week and a half to put siding on one side of our house. Overall, we felt they did a poor job, and we would not hire them again.

 + -1 moreActually the work went very well. Terry was late arriving on a couple of occassions. One time was 4 hours late and did not call to give us a heads up. The ramp work was very good and we modified some things to suit us as we went.

 + 2 moreAll projects have been timely, professional, and wonderful. Most recently, Terry removed a large 50+ year old tree that fell during a storm. I cannot believe he was able to chop this massive tree down and remove all debris in ONE day. Terry has a solution for any issue you may run in to when it comes to your home.
Description of Work: Terry and his family crew has provided many services throughout the years for my home. From trenching/waterproofing my basement to a room addition & full bathroom remodel. Terry is certainly a expert to all things home improvement. He always gives solid pricing, honesty, and integrity in everything he does. He is truly passionate about helping and he always goes above and beyond as to what is expected.

 + -1 moreIt went well. It took a little longer than we expected on a few parts of it. There were some issues with the timing part, but he did an excellent job on the work. He was reasonable in price. He has quoted things since then, and I think his price has gone up. Initially, he was very reasonable in price and did a good job. We were disappointed that later quotes were higher. Sometimes the communication was rough, other times it was very good. He seems to be an honest person and he works really hard. I know that he is branching out and doing some other stuff now, so what he is focusing on now maybe a little different. For the most part, follow-up was really good. We did have to track him down a few times as he got busy on other things and had a lot of balls in the air. I think we would use him again in the future if we got the right quote; he quoted it very competitively and I felt certain of that.

Description of Work: Terry Doty and his highly skilled employees have completed various projects for my family. He is direct, always has an open line of communication, and truly has mastered his skill set. Most recently, Terrys Home Improvement installed flooring for my kitchen and dining room, as well as trim. It took him and his crew only a couple of days to install and finished the job days before the original project end date. To say I was satisfied is an understatement, I was absolutely happy and impressed with the work. I have referred Terry and his crew to family members, friends, and anyone interested in various projects for their home. If you want ANYTHING done for your home, Terry could do it and I can guarantee he will be the competitors in price and quality of work. I even keep a pile of his business cards with me to give out! I will never have to go with another service provider as long as Terry and his crew are in business

 + 0 moreTerry was here to do this work on date promised. He did an excellent job and cleaned up well. He was also very personable. He fixed a toilet paper holder about to come off the wall and put a new wall part in the shower head. After the work was done, he helped move the items back that were moved for the work.
Description of Work: Terry installed grab bars in shower by toilet and garage door into house. Installed handheld shower head and as a favor, fixed a toilet paper holder about to dislodge from the wall. Also, replaced a part in the wall shower fixture as a favor.

He quoted me a very fair price on the phone after I answered several questions regarding the size of the area and the type of tile to be installed. Once the tile I ordered was in, he came out to install it within one week of my call. Terry was very neat, and gave me exactly what I asked for. He even agreed to change out 7 electrical outlets and switches with hardware I had purchased for only an additional charge of $15. I would definitely use Terry's services again.
Description of Work: Tile installed on a kitchen back-splash. Also changed out electrical outlets to match new tile.

Description of Work: Terry arrived with his son. He spent quite a bit of time reviewing our needs. I was impressed with his detailed work. He left, saying he would drop off a final estimate after doing some more research on the electrical portion of the work. He never came back, and never responded to my calls. If he did not want to do the work fine, but why waste my time and effort. I would hesitate hiring him.

 + -1 moreTerry was on time and very professional. He even fixed a small plumbing problem we had in the kitchen. His initial quote was $2300 but he lowered it to $2000 after getting all the supplies.
Description of Work: We had the old tub removed from the bathroom and a full size shower put in its place. Terry moved the shower head higher to accommodate my height, put all new plumbing fixtures in and expertly replaced the drywall. His cost included the labor and all parts(shower enclosure, doors and fixtures).

 + 0 moreTerry worked diligently to complete the work. But, because we chose to do this work during the holidays, Terry sometimes had other business to take care of. This was okay with us as we were in no hurry. Terry and his helpers cleaned up after each day's work. Because we are now in our 50's and have to often get up in the night, Terry would always make sure to place the toilet back on it's base so we would not have to go to the upstairs bathroom in the middle of the night. Terry and his workers were always friendly and polite. We got quotes from 3 or 4 contractors for the work we had done, and feel Terry's quote was very reasonable for the amount of work he did.
Description of Work: We had ceramic tile laid in our bathroom, hall, and kitchen area. All the walls in the bathroom were torn out and new walls erected. We had a shower added, which meant ceramic tile installed around the tub to accommodate the shower head; the plumbing in the bathroom and kitchen replaced, a glass block window installed in the bathroom, a new faucet in the kitchen to bypass the newly installed water softener, a new water heater installed, and a new water tank in the basement.

Description of Work: WE HAD A GARBAGE DISPOSAL PUT IN, A SEWER EJECTOR PUMP LOOKED AT, A CLOSET ORGANIZER INSTALLED, A HOLE IN THE CEILING PATCHED, AND A SMALL AMOUNT OF EXTERIOR PAINTING DONE THAT WAS TOO HIGH FOR ME TO REACH.
