+ -1 moreMr. Sanders contracted for the roofing job in March 2012. He delayed with many excuses in starting and completing the job. In August I discovered that he declared bankruptcy and went out of business with $3200 dollars of my Insurance money. To his credit, he arranged for DWC Restoration Company to pick up the job, complete it as estimated and I recieved a new roof in December 2012.
Description of Work: No services were performed by Sanders Construction Co.

He emailed a plan and estimated cost and after sending some employees out to inspect he confirmed his original estimate. The guys were able to start on the project right away. By the end of the day everything was finished. I was very happy with the pace of the small project. The overall cost was very reasonable and much much better than a previous quote from a different company.
Description of Work: Mr. Sanders company replaced and repaired the flashing around my two chimneys.

+ 5 moreOverall, Chris and Steve were great to work with. We talked frequently and they are great at what they do, and also very kind people. They really work hard to do a great job for you and will stop at nothing to make you happy. They go above and beyond to communicate everything that is happening while they are overlooking the project. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone that wants to have a great experience with any kind of home improvements. They explain everything in detail and will actually teach you some thing in the process. They also give you a $100 cash referral bonus if you send customers their way....we've already gotten one!!..possibly two more on the way!!
Description of Work: The experience we had with Chris Sanders was nothing less than exceptional! Chris and Steve were very professional and made the process of dealing with hail storm damage very smooth and seamless. From the first day we met them, we had a good feeling about them and they way they conduct business. They made sure to do a free estimate before the insurance adjuster came out to make sure that they identified all of the damage that we incurred. They also met the adjuster at our home for our home inspection so that the adjuster didn't miss anything that they had found. Chris and Steve kept in contact with us daily if not a few times a day. Whenever there was an update, they let us know immediately. Communication with this team was phenomenal!! They replaced our roof and added in upgrades that we needed that our original builder did not include. Just adding roof vents alone, we have noticed a huge difference in our home staying cooler and our energy bill decreased. Huge bonus!! The roof looks great..it really stands out from out last roof. We had many neighbors walk by and say that the roof looks good. They also replaced our gutters and upgraded them as well. Before the new gutters were put up, Chris worked with us to get someone to come and paint our trim since we needed a fresh coat. So nice to have someone come out to perform that service for us. Ryan painted all of the outside trim including the high trim that we would have never been able to reach. This is where we paid $200 for them to paint the trim. With the new roof, gutters, and paint job, our home looks sparkling new. There was also a leak in the Master Bath shower ceiling. They fixed that and repainted and textured the ceiling. Looks brand new. Also when they were reshingling the roof, they found a lead near the flashing of the front window and they repaired it for us.

+ 2 moreAll of the work I had done was free to me. The roof and interior work was done within one day and the gutters were done in another day. I never had to talk to the insurance adjuster which took a lot of stress off me. When the adjuster pulled up he knew Chris by name which made everything go smoothly since they had worked together before. When the insurance agent knows and trusts the contractor it lets you know that you made the best choice. Chris also is excellent about rewarding me for client referrals that result in work. They say that the best advertisement is word of mouth..... I would and will continue to " advertise" for Sanders Home Restorations for all there excellent work. One thing I truly loved was all the different colors I had to pick from, in regards to the shingles and gutters. He was also able to give me excellent advice on several color combinations to really enhance the appearance of my house. This is one benefit you can only get from someone with experience and great care for the homeowners.
Description of Work: I had a free evaluation on hail damage done to my roof, screens, and gutters. Chris Sanders replaced my shingles with 3 dimensional 35 year shingles, added raised roof vents ( to both my house and shed ), upgraded my gutters to 6" gutters and down spouts, and did interior drywall work and painting.

+ 8 moreMr. Sanders was referred to us by some friends whom he had done work for. We met with him & he thoroughly went all over our home & found a lot of storm damage we were not aware of. He met with our adjuster & got everything approved! We did not have to worry about any of it. The adfjuster wrote us a check that day & we had our mortgage company endorse it. We then signed the check over to Mr. Sanders & he began work within the week! His crews that came to do the work were professional & polite & are very hard workers. They had the roof off & then back on within a day and a half! Gutter guys came the following day & installed new gutters. Again, very polite & professional guys. We then had the garage door, window, window screens, exterior painting, & interior painting all done. All without any issues & all done very professionally! Mr. Sanders covered our deductible & included many upgrades at no additional cost to us! Upgrades were: Dimensional shingles, ridge vent, metal roof edge, 6" gutters, & insulated garage door! Him & his crews were excellent & are very highly recommended! We will be using his company in the future for some more projects we want done. He has also followed through on his word of paying us for the referrals we send him when he gets the job! We look forward to referring him as much as possible in the future!

+ 0 moreAfter a recent hail storm I called my insurance company. They sent out an adjuster who gave me an appraisal that omitted several things that were damaged. The insurance company also omitted compensation for the extra cost of repairing a steep roof and even shorted us on the amounts of roofing material required. They also omitted the drip edge and ice and water shield. After reviewing the insurance companies report I called Sanders Home Restorations. I have hired Chris Sanders' company on two previous occasions. A roof replacement and basement drywall repair and repainting. Sanders provided excellent, timely service on both of the previous jobs. Chris inspected the damages and pointed out all of the insurance companies omissions to me. He then scheduled a re-appraisal and was present when the insurance appraiser returned. Chris went over the entire roof and guttering along with the appraiser and got us compensated for all of the damages to our home. The roofing and gutter crew were very hard working people. They were on the job when promised, and completed their work on time. Both crews provided excellent work and completely cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend Sanders Home Restorations to anyone in need of the services that Chris provides. We were completely satisfied with Chris's professionalism, price and the prompt and courteous services he and his crews provided.

+ 1 moreWorking with the insurance Co. was the most frustrating part. Chris did a good job checking with us on the work being done. He wanted to make sure we were satisfied. It was overall a good experience.
Description of Work: We had a roof leak and hail damage. Chris came out and assessed the damage to the roof and interior and gave a recommendation to contact the insurance co. He pointed out things we could see from the ground that indicated the hail damage and showed were and why the roof was leaking. He applied a temporary fix (tarp) over the trouble spot causing the leak. He the help us work with the insurance co. On the claim. He was very professional and always seemed legitimately concerned. They replaced the shingles, gutters, ridge vent, patched and painted the ceilings inside.

+ 14 moreWe had exterior & interior storm damage from the recent storms by hail & wind. We were given a business card from a friend of ours who had Sanders Home Restorations do a lot of work on their home and referred them to us. We called Mr Sanders and he came to our home to meet with our insurance adjuster to inspect the damage we were aware of. Mr Sanders was able to find additional storm damage that we did not know about and the adjuster agreed to cover that as well. The adjuster wrote a check right there and made it out to Mr Sanders' company and myself. We signed the check and gave it to Mr Sanders and we picked out our options for the work we needed done. Within two weeks Mr Sanders began the work on our home. They did the roof first, then siding, gutters, windows, deck, garage door, exterior paint, and interior last. Mr Sanders' employees that completed our work were fast, professional, and hard workers and the roofers had the roof off and back on in a day and a half! Wow! We did not have any problems with any of the work that was completed! All the work took about two weeks from the time it began! We are very pleased with the work and the professionalism of Mr Sanders and his company overall. He took all of the stress off our hands of dealing with the insurance company and organizing all of the work. All we had to do was choose our options and colors! Mr Sanders also gave us numerous upgrades at no additional cost AND he covered our deductible, so we did not have to pay for anything out of our pocket! We are thrilled and would recommend Sanders Restorations to anyone looking for just one company to handle it all and handle it without any hassles. They are a very trustworthy company and do excellent work!

+ 5 moreThis was a very frustrating experience. Mr Sanders attempted to "make everything right" but we wished it all had been done right the first time. It took way too long to complete the work, and although the finished work in most instances is satisfactory, the grief we went through to get to that point was not worth it. Mr Sanders, in our opinion, was overwhelmed by the amount of jobs that he accepted after the hail storm, and did not have the contractors, companies, or individuals to complete the work in a timely and professional manner. We had requested, also, to have "extra" projects done at the same time as the hail repairs, and unfortunately, these projects were not completed as planned either. Mr Sanders is an honest person, who does try his best to get the work completed, however, he does need to do some serious "housecleaning" where is workers are concerned, as they are not representing him well.

+ 1 moreThe projects were done in two separate phases. Overall I would say they went pretty well. There was some trouble with a subcontractor at the beginning not showing up when scheduled. But for the most part everything was completed as promised and in a professional manner.
Description of Work: There was actually a wide variety of projects that were completed. All the exterior wood was painted and some replaced as well as the front door and garage door. Damaged siding was replaced, almost all of the window screens were replaced, water damage in the living room was repaired, and a new roof was installed. He also attempted to get rid of carpenter bees, but they came back.

My experience with him has been excellent. He advised me on materials, drew up an accurate account of the costs, and had the work done promptly. The crews he employed were courteous and efficient. I only wish I had more money to spend on additional projects!! I strongly recommend him for this kind of restoration.

+ -1 moreAfter I contacted Chris and he looked at our home, we contacted the insurance co. The first adjuster we had did not even get on our roof, she told us we just needed a patch job. I was not satisfied with this so I called and requested a second adjuster. I also called Chris and he took the time to meet with the adjuster and show him the damage. After receiving payment from the insurance co. Chris wasted no time getting started. Hid crew worked hard throughout the day and into the night to complete the project. His crew was very professional and kept a clean and safe work environment. Chris and his crew met and exceeded all of my expectations and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate recommending him to someone or using his service again myself. If quality work and competitive prices is what you are looking look no further.

+ 2 moreI originally contacted a roofing company for estimates to replace my roof from the hail storm. Chris Sanders was the person assigned to my account, but due to my travel schedule I was unable to start the project right away. In that time span Chris started Sanders Home Restoration and I elected to go with his new company to perform my work. Chris handled all contact and documentation to my insurance company and made the process very easy on my end. Additionally, I had him paint the exterior of my house and garage door. He also identified some boards on my house that needed repair and I had him replace those as well. He and his team were very professional and they worked late on 2 occasions to finish up all of the work in a mere three days. Chris performed his own inspection once the work was complete and even brought his guys back out one morning to take care of one area that he wasn't satisfied with. I would definitely recommend him to others needing work done on their homes.
