I called to request a quote, they said they'd look at the schedule and call me back. No one ever returned my call. I guess they have plenty of work to not return calls, so I'll call someone else who wants the business.

Very good. They measured the glass and the next day told me the price. I gave them my credit card number over the phone and less than two weeks later they installed the glass. Very professional, courteous and efficient.

The doors were originally sourced by Paul's Glass and I love them. One door seemed to have been slipping from the hinge, and the other - the hinge was looks from wall side. Paul's Glass scheduled me the same week. The technicians arrived right on time, were very polite, quickly remedied both situations. They also explained some things I did not understand. I highly recommend Paul's Glass! Call them, don't wait!

Paul and the entire team at Paul?s Glass did an outstanding job of assessing our home?s needs and recommending replacement doors and window that exceeded our expectations. They did a nice job of both listening and advising us through the process, from design through completion. The final installation went very well and we could not be more pleased with the outcome. The doors and windows are efficient, beautiful, functional, and very secure! We consistently get compliments from people who visit our home built in 1929 and comment about how well everything aesthetically blends together. We would highly recommend Paul and his team to anyone looking for doors and windows!

Called when they were giving a quote for a neighbor. Unwilling to spend 5 min to come look at the job when they were next door and give a quote. We scheduled an appointment and they came out. The workers were very nice and tried to help figure out what type of window we had so that it could be replaced. They could not and said they would ask their owner to look at pictures of it. They would quote the replacement of the window. Two calls back to them over a month and still have yet to receive an estimate or return call.

Great. Old glass was easy to remove by simply taking out 10 screws and pulling out the glass. Biggest issue was the disposal of the old glass. New unit unit went right in. Would definetly recommed this to anyone with some basic skills as a do it yourself project for freshining the look of an existing door without going through the labor and cost of total replacement.

See above comments for story. The date of service spanned some time and the date of service is approximate. Paul certainly went out of his way to be most helpful and professional and we very much appreciated his help!! He would be on our first call list if we needed window service again.
Description of Work: Paul came out to the house to look at a window that had been installed by another company that had developed a crack in a glass pane corner. The other company, Federal Glass and Windows & Doors Co. was not responsive to my calls and I believe, was going out of business. Paul spent a great deal of time, helping us look into replacing the defective window under warranty and was succesfully able to order a replacement window from the Pella Window Co. The company shipped the wrong-sized replacement and Paul sent it back and we eventually received the correct size and Paul installed the new window for just the cost, as I remember, for installation labor.

I had a stone hit the windshield of my car a few years ago and the chip started spreading to the size of a nickel so I needed to have it treated. It took less than 10 minutes. You can still see the "star" from the spreading crack, but I was told that this treatment only stops the crack from spreading, it does not make the crack go away. It was quick, and though I can still see the "star" , it does not look as bad as it did before.

Installation was completed and no problems noted initially. Then 2 exterior trim pieces came loose, and Paul's refused to make repairs. Insurance company sent an estimator, and agreed that the installer should fix, but still they refused. My insurance now has to pay for a second repair to install trim correctly, but I definitely won't be using Paul's.

The side mouldings on this type of vehicle (Pontiac Grand Am) are bolt in parts that are not replaced during a windshield replacement. They are notorious for separating and once this happens they have to be replaced. The insurance company had called our office and once this was explained to them agreed that the damage was not caused by our install. We were never asked by the insurance company to replace the side mouldings (due to the fact that they were not replaced during our install) . If the damage was caused by our install, we would have replaced the mouldings under warranty.

The employees were very professional. It only took a few minutes to install the custom-fit door. I was very pleased to find a company like Paul's Glass & Associates that actually specializes in helping members in need. What was even more surprising was that this project was very affordable. I will definitely use them again in the future!

They did a real good job. The price was pretty reasonable. They had the piece back when they said they would. They were easy to deal with. They were pretty professional and polite. The guy even noticed a place on the piece I took in for him to match with the other shelf. It also had a place where the shelf had fallen and broke when we moved from another city and he took care of that at no extra charges. I think there was a crack or something. He saw the crack and I didn't even see that. They were very good. It was a thick piece of glass and the price was pretty reasonable. Their responsiveness was fine. They were good in all the areas.

We ordered the Sun bow window June 10, 2011. After the window arrived at Paul’s Glass, they contracted with a local painting company who proceeded to do the staining and finishing of the window. Delays in getting the staining done occurred due to humidity issues and trying to come up with the stain color. When the painters asked for us to check the color before they stained the window, I went to their shop and immediately told them that the color was not right. They said they would work up another color swatch and would call me to check it before they stained the entire window. That never happened. I had even suggested to them to come to the house to see the color they needed to match. They never called back. Next thing we knew, Paul’s Glass was ready to install the window. We were assured that the color would be right even though we had not okayed the color. So, the installers arrived and tore out the old window before the new one arrived on another truck. Once it arrived, we went out to the truck and saw that the color was not correct. At Paul’s insistence, we allowed the window to be brought in to make sure the color was not a match once inside the house. It did not match. Since the old window had already been removed, they proceeded to install the new window with the assurance they would be able to “fix” the problem with the color on the window. After more time passed, with the window in place without the trim or correct color, a second painting contractor was brought in to “color over the other color” in the attempt to make it the right color. It was not an easy task since the original painters had put on multiple stain coats as well as multiple varnish coats. The color was finally right after three visits, but there were issues with streaking, smudges, and stain on the glass, hardware and walls that we have to deal with. Also, the window handles were not secured with the set screws. Because of the thickness of the stain and sealant, the screens are difficult to put in and remove which causes scratching of the window frames. Even with all these issues, final payment was requested on October 11, 2011. The entire process took over 4 months which was much longer than expected at the onset. This was not the professional experience we expected. Paul followed up on the work and had no problem getting replacement screens that did not fit well. His caring attitude has made it so that I would look to him for other work in the future.
Description of Work: We ordered a replacement Sun Windows bow window with the wood interior and vinyl exterior. The job included removal of the old window and trim, insertion of the new window and trim, including capping all exterior wood and sealing (maintenance free), and staining the interior wood to match the color of the wood inside the living room. The window we ordered appeared to be exactly what we wanted with the wood interior and maintenance free exterior.

UPDATE: 1-28-12 The owner of Paul's Glass came into my place of business, not to apologize, but rather to chastise me for leaving the following reivew. He was arrogant and rude in front of other people and a customer. He had no problem with his staff going inside a person's vehicle without their prior permission and made no apologies whatsoever. He felt that our review was inaccurate. Everything I do is as accurate as possible including reports on service providers. They never offered to work on the vehicle in the garage. He also fails to mention in his response to my complaint that they were told that, before noon, I would be at my office and that after 12 noon, I would be at home. His response is clearly trying to imply that I gave them an incorrect location for where I would be and that's simply not true. While I'm sure Paul is a nice guy, he has issues if he's going to make it a point to track a member down and make a scene at their place of work. ****************** Paul's Auto Glass proved to be a disaster from the time I picked up the phone and called them. Four times. Busy signal. Busy signal. Busy signal. On the fourth call, I finally received a ring followed by an answer. Folks, it's 2011. It's time to get more than one line for your business and it also appears as though a good answering service might help these people a bit. I scheduled the appointment for one of their technicians to come to my home or office and which location I was at would depend on exactly what time they were going to be able to show up (they don't set appointments; it's one of these "morning" or "afternoon" types of companies). I asked to be called one hour or so prior to arrival and that I would tell the technician where to find me. I received a call from the technician stating that he was at my office and wondering where I was since my staff said I wasn't there. I told him that he didn't call ahead and he replied that he "didn't know that " I "was supposed to." He told me that he would go ahead and drive out to my home. I told him that I was there and that I was having my furnace and air conditioner replaced and to 1) park where he could (and that the grass was ok) and 2) to ring the door bell. The next thing I know, one of the heating/cooling people comes inside, escorting someone from Paul's Glass. I asked him why he didn't come to the front door, and he had no explanation. HERE'S WHAT REALLY SET ME OFF: The technician asked me if they could move my car from under the tree. I said "sure" and that I'll show them which car was mine. He then proceeded to tell me that his partner WAS ALREADY IN MY CAR working since they had found it unlocked. I asked the technician who gave them permission to enter my car without my being there. I received the reply that "well you called us." I proceeded to go out to my car, quickly. I am a former police officer and I had a loaded firearm in the car. I am also recovering from back surgery and had a pill bottle of morphine in the console (and no, I don't take it and drive. I had just picked the script up from the pharmacy). Apparently the technicians didn't like that I "didn't trust them" with the items in my car. Too bad. You don't enter someone's home or vehicle without their prior approval. I personally know the man that installed my new heating/cooling system and have known him for years. I don't know the glass technicians at all and I'm so sorry they didn't appreciate not being trusted. Anyway, I took the items and went back inside. One to two minutes later, there came a knock at the door. Suddenly this mysterious "mist" had developed and it was now too "misty" to do the work. They said that I'd need to bring the car to their shop. I told them that I'd pull the car into the garage and that they could finish the work there. Suddenly, my four car garage must have shrunk because there wasn't "enough room" to change the windshield in the garage. It would appear as though Paul's has enough business since they can blow off customers' privacy and then take a tone and an attitude with them. Unfortunately for them, I'm not just a member of Angie's List, I'm also on the board of directors of a local chamber of commerce and will be happy to tell others about my experience with Paul's Auto Glass.
Description of Work: A rock caused a large crack in my windshield. Due to specialty equipment in my car, the dealership told me to call Paul's Auto Glass since they were close by and could replace the windshield with the correct one.

Response from Paul's Glass & Accessories
Paul's Glass & Accessories has been in business for 26 years, supplying services to the public, auto dealerships, and government agencies without complaint. We replace auto glass without short cuts in our installations and comply with all original equipment manufacturing specifications to yield a defect free service to our customers. We tried to accommodate the member, we were told that he would be at one location in the morning and after a certain time he would be at a different location. We went to the first location in the time he allotted but he was already at the second location. We then drove to that location and by the time we got there it was beginning to mist. We gave him the option to bring it to our shop due to the fact the the heating and air technician was using the garage, He declined. We do not install glass under adverse weather conditions. As a result we declined to do the job for him at that time and returned to our job route for the day.
