Moss Roofing

Roofing crew was on time, the owner was there the first time to get things started. The crew was very fast and thorough clean up. Even the owners wife was very attentive to all of our questions and needs even at after hours. Definitely a refreshing experience.

Moss replaced our old roof with a new one. The work crew was very respectful of our property. Bob, our salesman, was very knowledgeable & helpful.

Not all expectation from estimate to completion. Very satisfied Easy to work with pleasant and professional.

After settling with the manufacturer last fall (see above), I contracted with Moss in March of this year to install the new roof. We agreed on a start date and the roofing materials were delivered about two days prior to the start of the job. The workers arrived on time on the scheduled day and began work immediately. They worked throughout the day and completed everything except for a few minor touch ups that were completed the next day. Several roof panel that were water damaged were replaced at no charge. When the last of the workers had left, the job site was as clean as it was before they began; they did an excellent job of cleanup. Later that day, Mr. Moss himself stopped by to inspect the job and asked if I had any questions, comments, or concerns. This is a great company to work with and I would recommend them for any roofing problems.

The work was completed professionally and on time with no interruptions to go to other jobs. I was surprised at the price but had no idea what the going price was.

I recently had to have my roof replaced. I had obtained three estimates one of which was from Moss Home Improvements. I chose to go with them because of the professionalism I received from their sales rep Brian. He came out to give an estimate and was very courteous and explained everything to my wife and I. I told him I wanted to get one more estimate. He was very understanding and did not pressure us into going with them. When we chose to go with them he worked very hard with my insurance company on getting the paper work done and fought to get us everything that we had coming to us fairly. The crew they used was very promt on the day the repair was to be made and they stripped and replaced this all in one day. They used tarps to protect all the flower beds and went beyond to protect my items. They did an awesome job on cleaning up after themselves and you could barley tell they were in our yard. The roof looks great and we are very well pleased. Bev in the office is a super gal. I talked to her a few times during the process and she was so kind on the phone. They are a class act business and I would recommend them to any one I know needing a contractor. Oh and I forgot, we received a free upgrade on our shingles for putting their sign in our yard. Bev also sent a very nice thank you card for choosing them to do the work. It is good to know there are still companies out there that have the old school philosophy to treat other like you want to be treated.

They are a fantastic company. I was very impressed with their work, and also their customer service. They had to delay the project for about a week, however he came over to explain why and went over everything. I am a very customer service oriented individual, and you don't come across a company like this very often. They delivered great service, and did an excellent job. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The experience was excellent from start to finish. There were two jobs, one a roof replacement, and the other replacing a small section of gutter that was prone to overflowing during heavy rains. I had no surprises except pleasant ones during my experience with Moss: Bryan Ward, the Moss representative, provided one of three independent estimates we obtained for our roofing job. He was the only one who pursued qualifying the job for insurance coverage. He went beyond the call - meeting the insurance adjuster on the roof. The next thing I knew the adjuster was writing me a check. Communication was efficient and timely. To assist me in selecting a shingle color, the owner/manager provided me with addresses for houses in the area with various colors of shingles. The work was performed in a timely and professional manner, as promised, and cleanup was immaculate. When some very minor damage was done to a section of gutter during the installation, Mr. Ward pointed the damage out to me, and replaced it immediately, at no charge. In addition to the roof work, Moss also replaced a section of guttering, which was prone to overflowing during heavy rains, with a larger gutter. This work was also done professionally, as promised. I give high marks all around to this company.

Excellent work done once crew problems were "fixed and had good weather. ( 1 day outside job went from a one day job to four days! ) Interior painting of ceilings done very well. New roof and chimney cap (when finished) will be great. Great project manager to work with. Over all, a great company to work with.

The gentlemen that visited our house was very nice, knowledgeable and proffessional. He was not pleased because our insurance provider had not covered our roof replacement. He promised to provide us with a quotation on our siding replacement the following week. I followed up with him the week after he had originally promised the quote and he promised the quote by the end of the week. Still no estimate. I doubt that he really forgot as I have seen him several time in the neighborhood. My belief is that he simply didn't want the job of replacing the siding without replacing the roof. I undertand that his company is busy, but at least have the proffessionalism to tell us he doesn't want to make the estimate.

Primary work done in three days. Some follow up work was needed and was done in timely manner. Very satisfied with the whole experience.

Excellent experience with great people to work with. Our roof was discolored and had a small sag over a part of the garage. Another company had come out to esitimate and said that all the roof decking needed to be replaced. Steve came out for an estimate and inspected the roof, showing me what they would do and that he thought only a small area of decking would need to be replaced. He also stated that the roof probably had 3-5 years of life left if we wanted to try and hold off. He ended up replacing just one sheet of decking. The old roof was torn off, the sheet of decking replaced, a new roof installed and all cleaned up in one day. The trim crew came two days later ( due to storm delays). They took two days to replace all soffits and gutters. Everything looks excellent. Beverly in the office was great at keeping us informed as they were working, scheduling around thunderstorms and lightning. I would not hesitate to call them again and use them for other work.

I only had one vent on my roof for some reason, and I needed more to get better air circulation in the roof area. They were very professional and thorough and very good to work with. They came out and took pictures, and I felt like they gave it a really good look-over. Their estimated price was $750. I would consider using them again in the future.

Exceptionally friendly, professional, HONEST, business to hire. We had 3 estimates for the new roof. Only part of the roof leaked however it seemed cost effective to replace it all at once. However Steve Moss was the only roofer to draw our attention to other damaging and obvious problems that needed to be addressed. We had 2 dormers that were missing wood and had metal pieces pulled out - no other roofer mentioned this issue. We also had a backwall that was not in plain eyesight that was badly damaged and was probably causing the worst of the leaks. No other roofer mentioned this either. Steve showed us detailed pictures of the areas, which were obviously desperately in need of repair. Steve gave us the BEST estimate to repair all of these items. He contacted us in a timely fashion and was willing to meet with us more than once. Bev, was always helpful and even sent lots of pictures of the roof. Because we had had so many problems with this roof, this was a angst filled project. Bev and Steve were the BEST to work with, they were always willing to answer questions, very reassuring, and EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGABLE about their work. The roof and dormers look beautiful. The work was done exactly when the weather would allow. The work was done in exactly the amount of time they required. Our house and yard were left immaculate. Since the work has been done we have had 2 windy hard rain storms. In the past this would have caused major leaks, we have had NO LEAKS! Overall, what started out a stressful, anxiety producing experience turned into a fact filled, pleasant learning process. We now have a beautiful roof, and an excellent reliable, honest contractor for future needs

My husband and I have lived in our home for 2 years and had received 3 or 4 estimates on replacing our roof; the estimates were extremely high and we chose to wait until it really needed replaced. After a few bad storms, our 10 year old roof took quite a beating and had extensive hail and wind damage to the shingles. We called our insurance company and a claims representative came out and inspected the roof and found that we needed a full roof replacement. After talking to a neighbor, we discovered that Moss Home Improvements was conveniently located around the block from where we live; this was a comforting feeling. We met with Steve and Bev and they gave us an estimate and told us that they would help us with all the insurance claims...what a relief! Steve and Bev are extremely friendly, kind and patient and we were impressed by their professionalism. They run their business from their home and their home speaks volumes to their quality of work. They take wonderful care of their home and we knew they would take care of ours. On the day of the roof replacement, both Steve and Bev dropped by to check on the workers and make sure everything was running smoothly. The workers were efficient and cleaned up all the material to my satisfaction. We are thrilled with our new roof and will use Moss Home Improvements again for our patio doors.

The project went extremely well from start to finish. Considering some of the dilapidated issues presented by this old barn, there were many challenges and options to make corrections that would have the proper appearance and stay in character with the original barn structure. Steve Moss and his carpenter Benny Noland were absolutely great to work with on the myriad of decisions that cropped up during the course of this unusual project. They were very knowledgeable and in all cases advised aesthetic and structural options that turned out to be excellent components to an overall wonderfully done project. The workmanship, punctuality, responsiveness, and professionalism were excellent throughout. We hadn't envisioned that the old barn would look nearly as great as it turned out when we started this project.

They were very prompt, nice, friendly and informative. They didn't do the particular type of work that I need done, so I will not use them, but did give me a good idea of what work does need to be done.

I thought I might need a new roof. Steve Moss came out, looked it over and told me it's in excellent condition for its age. He also mentioned that someone had done extensive roof repairs by the chimney - I didn't know this - and that the leak mark on the ceiling is probably just the result of this winter's sleet storm and some unusual ice damming by the flashing on the chimney. He explained what to look for in an aging roof - cupped shingles. When I asked if I'd need to have the skylights replaced when the roof is replaced, (a neighbor had a roofer insist that she do this) he told me that I have the best skylights on the market and he believes they will last me through my next roof. I couldn't have been more pleased with his honesty and helpfulness. I will definitely call him again when it appears my roof has reached the end of its life

Steve was very friendly in explaining about the ice dams that caused the stains on the ceiling, offered several options of repairing ourselves versus filing a homeowners claim on our insurance that would probably not meet the deductible. Told us about a stain cover (a must do) before painting so that the stains will not bleed through new paint. He was most helpful

I called Steve for an estimate to fix the roof and siding on the house due to some storm damage. Steve was out the next day and provided a very reasonable estimate. Once I decided to award the bid, Steve was very punctual in coming back out for me to sign the contract so the work could commence. The entire 20 square roof from tear-off to shingle installation was all done by Moss Home Improvements in about 6 hours. Everyone was professional on the job site and the job site was left clean when finished. I have not found 1 stray roofing nail since they left, amazing! The siding and shutter work was completed the next day, with the same great results. I would highly recommend Moss Home Improvements to anyone! Steve and Beverly were a pleasure to work with!
