Excellent job. No issues, whatsoever.

Talked to them mid July about the roofing job. After a few estimates, decided to go with them. Contacted insurance company and then they sent us an estimate. After going over the estimate, he said everything looked fine. There were some things he wanted done that we wouldn't have to pay for b/c of the size of the estimate. He then contacted the insurance company about receiving more money, of which they gave $600, to be paid at the end. Over one month later, in late August, when he returned from vacation, he called to say he would come by with the supervisor, and they didn't want to do the roof because of the flowers. We were able to convince him it wasn't a problem, and he said he would be over to sign the contract in a few days. We came home one day to find a voice mail saying that they couldn't do it because of the money. This was a two and half month experience, I wish they had told us this initially so that we could have moved on to companies willing to do the job.

THEY WERE GREAT TO WORK WITH & DID A GREAT JOB.

This was an excellent experience. Beverly Moss answered my first phone call. She was able to get someone out the give an estimate in one week. They were able to work with the insurance company to come to an agreement on replacing of my roof. This process took four weeks but was done in a timely fashion. I was kept in the loop at every step. When the crew came to demo my roof they were very quick and did not waste any time. They were very clean and picked up before they left the house. Everything with this experience was fabulous.

One of the best contracting experiences I have had since coming to Indianapolis 7 years ago. Everyone from Moss that I met or talked to was extremely professional. Appointments were kept and on time. I was kept informed of the progress and status of the job throughout. The cleanup was excellent. The crew worked hard to get us under roof in one day. The owner stopped by during the work to ensure everything was satisfactory. He also credited us for some work that was not needed. The contractor worked with the insurance company to get us a fair settlement. To find this type of dedication and customer focus during a period when other companies are acting like they don't care or need your business (due I'm sure to the April hail storm and all the roof damage encountered) was a refreshing surprise. I highly recommend Steve Moss and his entire organization. I would not hesitate to use them again. I was so happy that I have recommended their company to others in my neighborhood.

Moss was timely and very pleasant to work with. They did leave a lot of trash and I have found countless nails on the ground at my house. The house looks great, but the mini barn isn't quite satisfactory.

They were much more expensive than my chosen company. They also had very much of a sales approach and wanted to put down other companies. I did not get a good feeling off of him. He also wanted to explain how insurance companies are out to scam and get away with whatever they can. He was hoping to justify his expensive estimate and if he makes some calls he can get more out of the insurance company. I just wanted my home repaired at a fair cost.

The first appointment for a roof replacement quote had to be rescheduled, but they contacted me and explained why which was appreciated. They were to call me back and reschedule. They never called so I called back after 4 days. When the sales rep came out he was $400 higher than my other quotes. When I told him he was high he took $375 off my quote. I was disappointed that he would have charged me the higher rate just because he could.

All they had to do was return a call in 1 week, even if they couldn't get to me. That is poor service.

When Steve came to our home to give us an estimate, we shared with him the kind of shingle we wanted and that our plan was to sell our home within the next five years. He quoted us prices for not only what we wanted, but also priced the 30 year 3D and the pros and cons of both. We were also not sure on the color we wanted and how it would look with our brick (it has an orange hue to it). Steve gave us the addresses of several brick homes that had the 3D roof so we could determine what would look best. We hired him and scheduled a date to begin the work. The Friday before our Monday appointment is when Indianapolis got the severe hail storm. We were pleasantly surprised that he and his crew arrived on Monday and completed the entire job on time as promised. His phone was ringing off the hook while he was here! Steve, his wife and his entire crew are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They take great care with your property. We will use them next to replace our windows.

From the moment we called for an estimate, everyone has been a joy to work with. Bending over backwards to work with us, the insurance company and keeping us informed with any changes. In fact, we were called one evening to let us know that work would begin on our roof the next day - a full 2 weeks+ earlier than originally expected. We are very much looking forward to the work they do with our siding and gutters. They use quality materials, work fast and do what they say they are going to do- what more can you ask for?

They did a nice job with my new roof and cleaned up after the work was completed. They were hard workers.

Everyone was a pleasure to deal with, from the gentleman who did the estimate to the owner and his wife. This was an insurance job due to storm damage, and they were very understanding about having to deal with the insurance company also. I have a very large house (Moss ordered 56 squares of shingles), and there was some delays in getting the work done due to weather, but Bev and Steve Moss were great about keeping me informed. The job was completed in a day and a half (would have been one day if it hadn't rained), and the crew did a fantastic job of cleaning up. They even put something under their truck in my driveway, so it wouldn't stain the concrete. Steve Moss called me a few days later to see how I liked it and answered any question I might have. All in all, it was a wonderful experience. The roof looks great, and although I hope I don't have to replace my roof anytime soon, I want Moss to be who I call.

Everyone we spoke with was very friendly and willing to work with us. Would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I even asked him to come and check after the hail damage because I had a leak (no fault of theirs-- plumbing pipe). Nice and thorough, and Mrs. Moss in the office can't be beat!

I left them a message and kept having to call back. I finally talked to someone and they said they would talk to the owner. I never heard back. Finally I called again. She did not seem to care enough about my job. She said something inappropriate. I would not hire them

Steve and Bev Moss, and associate Gary McGown, could not have been more accommodating. Though the job was a relatively small and simple one (an insurance claim due to hail damage in spring 2005), the circumstances were difficult due to my own ill health and subsequent major surgery and then my trying to negotiate the claim and the scheduling of work when I was still very much under the weather. Steve and Gary both made several trips to my home to patiently explain my options. Bev was great on the phone. This pattern persisted once the job was on the books and ultimately completed. Since all had been initiated some months before the work took place, Gary came out once again to reassess. When complete, Steve came out to address various questions I had about the work that was performed. While I wish the workers had taken a bit more care with my plantings, I realize I have a difficult and overgrown piece of property. All in all, though, a great bunch of people to work with.

My roof and siding were damaged by hail. Moss gave me separate estimates on the roof and siding. Each indicated they were valid for 31 days and did not indicate they were dependent on each other in any way. The siding job was to have included soffits, fascia, and gutters as well. When I indicated I was going to have someone else do my roof, but would like them to do the siding, they refused to do the work.

Very professional, good job. Reasonable, courteous,, friendly. Finished in great time. Easy to work with. This is the second time we have used Moss Home Improvement Inc to remove & replace our roof, gutters, downspouts & etc. They are very professional, efficient, on time and willing to please and work with you. They are courteous people, friendly and take care of your property while working. They clean up, remove all debris and get the job done in a timely manner. They have good workers that do a very good job. Now, what more could you ask for? I have recommended their company to lots of friends and family. If needed we would use their service in the future. Steve Moss is the owner, returned my call promptly, made an appointment, came out, explained everything to me point by point. He gave me the date, followed up when the shingles were in, and they showed up on time. They also cleaned up absolutely everything. He even told me where to go see my new shingles before they were put on. He was with the crew the entire time and watched the entire installation of the roof. The workers were personable and thorough. They were there until the roof was completed. He went above and beyond. I can't say enough favorable things about his service. I've never had a thank you card sent to me from any company- I got a handwritten thank you card from him and his wife.

It has been a week and they haven't returned to the phone call.

There were problems at first, but they did come back and correct them. The people on this crew were the problem. Once he brought in a different crew, everything got done. I would still call the owner back to do work for me in the future.

This is the third job performed by Moss Home Improvement. They have replaced doors, windows, repaired roofing, put on new siding, gutters, gutter guard, vinyl cover over soffit and facia. Steve suggested we wait because windows should be on sale soon. It saved us considerable money. Steve is very easy to work with and provides accurate estimates for work requested. They make sure we are satisfied with the work completed. We would recommend them to anyone.
