Moss Roofing

I called Bev for an estimate in fall of 2006, they were out within a week. Due to the nature that my damage was from the hail storm of 2006, I had to wait until Spring of 2007 to have the work done. When Spring got here, I called Moss and they scheduled a time frame for the roof to be done. Within two weeks of the roof being put on, they were out to put the siding on and then the gutters. I was very impressed with Bev at the company. Every time I called , she was very polite and always worked with me.

The owners worked with me to complete the job before I moved into the house. Bev came out to discuss options with me, no sales pressure. The job was done within one day. The roof looks great. There was some deck damage that occurred and the Mosses were quick to offer repairs. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Salesman Bob Clapp arrived on time and spent approximately 1 1/2 hours inspecting the roof, preparing the estimate, and explaining the companies goals and beliefs. Although they were the second highest estimate received, we selected Moss, in large part, as a result of Bob's up front, honest style and our perception of the company's ethics. Once the contract was signed, the job started in three days. On the day of the job, the crew arrived on time and twelve hours later the roof was complete. During the job, shrubbery was covered, with final clean up nearly eliminating any evidence they had ever been there. Our new roof looks great, and we have had a number of positive comments on the finished job.

I called Moss Home Improvement and other companies for an estimate for a new roof due to hail damage. Their estimator, Bob Clapp, was very informative and even helped with my insurance claim - which was above and beyond his responsibility. They were able to get to my roof earlier than promised. Their crew arrived on time and were very efficient. The job was done in a day and the cleanup was amazing...looked better than it did before they arrived.

Absolutely great! The crew was on time, work was completed in very timely manner and was cleaned up very well. In fact, after re-roofing by Moss and the re-siding, a total of maybe 3/4 cup of bits and pieces debris were found over a two month period. The siding crew corrected problems in siding and leakage from when house was originally built and explained what had been done originally.

They were thorough and did a good job. I would recommend them.

The communications were slow due to how extremely busy they were at the time we contracted with them (August 2006). They used a subcontractor who temporarily relocated to Indianapolis due to the massive amount of work from the hail storm in April 2006. The crew included 9 people, none of whom spoke English very well. I stayed home the day of the job to ensure it was done right. The lead worker did not want to replace several pieces of deteriorated sheething, one of which gave way and his foot when through it while he was arguing with me over the necessity of replacing them. He then had me point out which pieces I wanted to replace and kept saying "no problem, amigo." They would have covered a lot of what I regarded as marginal pieces of wood had I not intervened. Other than that, the quality of the work was good and they did a fantastic job cleaning up. The job was done in one day, except for a piece of metal drain they had to install.

All went very well except for stupid and stubborn neighbor who would not let us put ladder on his ground, he held the job up for about three weeks. The crews worked around it and got it done. We are very happy with the work and the responses from Steve and Beverly Moss.

Were able to schedule an estimate fairly quickly. Because they had to refer to the manufacturer for pricing & availability for the skylights, it took a few weeks to obtain the actual cost estimate and we called back a couple of times to check on it. We eventually received it and it was reasonable. Because they were booked from the many hail damage projects they could not begin work for a couple of months. They gave us a couple of days notice prior to the work commencing. It took 1.5 days to complete the job. They were fairly clean--laid tarps outside and inside to capture the debris. They worked as quietly as possible. We experienced a leak around our chimney fireplace and we suspected it was from improper flashing. They came out the next day to investigate, and found it was actually a problem with the chimney cap and not from their work. At no cost, they caulked what they could to help decrease the leaking until we could get it repaired.

Best of 3 estimates - only one to actually get up on roof. Very informative and helpful - owner came out after job to look at concerns I had, answered all questions. 1-day job, good cleanup, no damage to landscape or house.

Mark Moss completed our estimate and met with us to finalize paperwork and choose colors. We are first-time homeowners who had never filed an insurance claim. Mark answered all of our questions about the roof and about how to get our insurance money. When the supply company delivered the shingles to the wrong location, Mark and the office staff got to work immediately to correct the problem. The only thing I was a little unhappy with was the roofing and gutter crews for leaving a lot of nails and scraps in our yard. We have a dog, so we had to scour the yard to pick up the nails once we realized the crew wasn't thorough with their cleanup.

Bob Clapp was our salesman. Bob was very helpful through the entire process. The recent hail in our area brought insurance adjusters from every area of the country. We had about 4 adjusters who were eager to get back home. The first one did a very incomplete job. Bob followed up with our insurance at every turn. First, they did not measure correctly. Then they disregarded some aspects of the job, such as a chimney flashing. Four times Bob had to renegotiate with the insurance until they got it right. All this while so many roofs needed attention. He finally got a correct report from our insurance company. The roofers were here almost immediately (2 weeks sooner than we expected). It was done in 1 day (with cleanup the next day), with no issues. The guttering came later. There were a couple issues with the guttering. Eric came out a couple weeks later to correct those to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the services of Moss Home Improvements.

I received a written estimate in a timely manner, they were honest about when they could get the roof done, seemed professional and answered all questions I had.

Our experience was 100% positive. They bent over backwards to be responsive to our needs from the initial estimate through completion of the project. The work appears to have been done well and they stand behind any problems that may be encountered. Their communications were timely and highly courteous at all times. Clean up was very good. Moss Home Improvements gets our highest recommendation!

Price was 2nd highest quote received, many well reviewed contractors were less so we selected a different contractor.

We went with another contractor based on price. They were quick to respond to my message and kept the appointment. Very professional.

Work was so fast, we didn't even know they had come and gone while we were at work. They left no mess and everyone in the office is so nice to deal with. They go out of their way to make it a smooth process, even when they are extremely busy.

He spent several hours at my home answering my questions and providing an estimate before he left.

The whole job went very well- every step was explained to us and they did all the work with the insurance company. They've been great to work with!

I contacted Moss in early summer to provide an estimate to replace our roof. Randy arrived just as we arranged and provided a quote, plus answers to the numerous questions I had. I checked with past customers and visited a couple of job sites. I was satisfied with everything I had seen and heard. I signed a contract, and our job was ''on the board''. In a few weeks, the shingles were delivered. 2 weeks later, the crew arrived and began the work. The timing was just the way I was told by Randy. A crew of 6 arrived mid-morning. 9 hours later, the job was complete. The crew worked extremely hard. They did a good job cleaning up the mess, and the new shingles look great on the house. Steve Moss visited the job site to supervise the replacement of a skylight and ensure we were satisfied with the work thus far. At different times during the process, I also spoke to Tiffany and Bev Moss. Everyone I spoke to was professional and genuinely interested in providing superior customer service.

Left a message and never received a return phone call.

They were well disciplined in their work and completed the work in one day. The gutter and downspout work was done another day. All work was very satisfactory and they did an excellent job of cleaning up after completion. The workers were friendly and courteous. The office staff was personable and helpful. Overall would give them a grade of A, and would recommend them to anyone.

They were very good. They were easy to work with. The office had good contact. They always let us know when the workers would come. It was hard to communicate with the crew since they did not speak English, but they got all the work done in one day. They were very good at cleanup. The carried all of the debris over to the truck.

The estimator was here when he said he wold be. He was professional and thorough. He explained the damage and what needed to be done. He did not try to "up-sell" and did not use any pressure to get us to sign with Moss. The roofing crew was here and working by 0830 in the morning and was finished by about 3pm. They worked as a closely knit team, watched out for each other and all helped clean up afterwards. There was no debris left after the job was complete. Our yard was clean and the plants had not been damaged. Several neighbors remarked on the quality and professionalism of the roofing crew. The same applies for the crew that replaced the gutters. They were here when they said they would be, worked well together, cleaned up well and did a great job. We would not hesitate to recommend Moss Home Improvements.
