MIKE'S HANDYMAN SERVICE

They are good people. I have had to put the project on hold, but I am interested in hiring them once the project is back in motion.

He said he would contact me with the estimate within 10 days, but I never heard from him again.

I used him sometime in the winter. He did a good job. He was fair and I thought his crew who did the work was honest.

Mike was a super nice person. He went into the crawl space to estimate the damage that was done and answered questions about household problems. He took the time to carefully assess the problems and gave an approximate on the work that needed to be performed.

I've used Mike for years. He answers phone calls, shows up on time, and does the work with no supervision on my part.

Mike came out and as planned and agreed to do all services needed. He had a break in his schedule so he was able to complete all the work in one day the following week. Everything was done right and any questions I had were answered satisfactorily. I would highly recommend Mike and his son to do any type of handyman work needed and I plan on using him again in the future.

I spent about $800 for the job. There was nothing in particular, but they came out, did what they needed to do and did the job. The workers who came out were fine. I would recommend them to others.

Mike came out to review some work that needed to be done for our punch list. Mike is a great guy, sounds very competent and we look forward to scheduling him to get our to-do list finished. His rates run about $40/hour which is reasonable.

He was excellent. He did some really hard jobs around the windows and I though it was very well priced and well done. I think he really does a good job. The outside wood of our big bay window had just absolutely eroded and you could crush it with your fingers. We were afraid that couple sections might have to be replaced and he was even worried that when he does the work that they might break and have to be replaced. It turned out that he got the whole thing done and everything looks perfect. He also replaced some outside lighting, put in an electrical outlet on the front porch for Christmas lights. He did various different things, both electrical and carpentry work and everything he did was very well done, very professional, and perfect.

Mike arrived several minutes early for the appointment. He and his crew had their equipment out in a matter of a few minutes. They were extremely polite and professional. Mike had written down everything we talked about on the phone and they asked to see what was needed to be done. We walked around and through the house so they could locate everything and they immediately got to work. They constantly reported to me what they found, what was needed, and what they did to fix the problem. The outdoor outlets were due to cheap, faulty wiring so Mike drove to a store himself to get materials to fix them. He charged us only for the cost of the materials. I appreciated their honesty when it came to the outlet in the bookshelf. They explained to me what it would involve to run electricity up to the place I wanted it, and the amount of time (which meant LABOR cost) it would take them. How badly did I want an electricity up there? NOT that much! Mike studied the stool and decided the only way to get to the problem was by cutting a hole in the ceiling where we were seeing the water stain. He cut one, only to discover it was not the stool after all. By looking all around, he discovered it was coming from the roof. He climbed up on the roof and caulked the vents where the snow and ice had blown in due to the harsh winter. I was amazed he was willing to go beyond what I asked him to do to fix the problem! Mike patched the ceiling and came back after it dried to texture it. I will highly recommend Mike to everyone. He and his crew were professional, friendly, they worked thoroughly and efficiently, and completely cleaned up before leaving our home. I expected a much higher bill than I received from them. I have used him several times and he is very good. He does what I need and I am very happy with the work he does. He is very reliable, on time, very efficient and very clean. He cleans up after himself. He is very trustworthy.

The work was completed just as described and actually came in under estimate. Shrubs were pulled from around the house and underground drains were put in place from the downspouts with pop-ups. Shrubs were hauled off and area cleaned up. Other minor and quot;handymanand quot; jobs were also completed. The only downside is getting a hold of Mike, as he is very busy, it often takes a while for him to get back with you once you have left a message. We will be using this service again.

Mike returned my call within 24 hours and set up an appt. for the estimate within one week. He was very prompt for our appt and very professional. He also took time to explain all the work that would need to be completed. He called within a few days with the estimate. I did not use Mike because I went with a lower estimate. I would definately call Mike for other projects.

Mike was very prompt in coming out to give an estimate and the final job was very close to the original estimate. I picked out the tile, and he ordered it. Very shortly after it came in he was available to do the job. He has a couple of guys working with him, but he is the one in charge and does the detail work and oversees his helpers quite closely. They are all friendly and professional. At the end of every day they clean up the work area and take their equipment and tools with them. The work was done within the time he estimated. After the tile was laid, prior to grouting, I was not completely happy with the way a few of the tiles looked - I thought they were not even enough. I talked to Mike about it and he explained that it was due to the roll in the floor, and had installed them according to what he thought would be best. We discussed it, and I really wanted them more level, so we decided he would pull those few up and reinstall a bit differently that would be more to my liking. He didn't make it a big deal, and the tiles are beautifully set now. This added a day to the job, but it was worth it to me. We talked about grout and I wanted him to try an epoxy sealer in the grout. It's a little more expensive, but supposed to last longer. Well, it didn't seal as well as he wanted, so he sealed the grout the traditional way at no extra charge. After grouting he cleaned the tiles and removed any grout haze that was present. He is currently working on other remodeling projects at my home.

I was very pleased with his work. He was pleasant. He did the work for the amount of money he said he would do it for. My husband and I both recognized that he spent more time and the job was more difficult than he had planned. Thus, we paid him a little bit more money.

We were interested in having bamboo flooring installed in our great room area(which includes our dining area and entry way). Our first estimate didn't work out, then we saw the review's for Mike's Handyman service and thought we should give him a try. On his first visit, it was clear he was down to earth and up front about estimates and opinions concerning flooring choices. We appreciated that. When we decided to go with him, he and his son came out for a second, more in depth estimate. He mentioned that the entry way laminate could increase the cost as it appeared to be glued to the slab. He also suggested we do the quarter-round for a more finished look and explained that could add more. He gave us an estimate between 1600-2200 depending on what they found during the work. On the day work was to begin, everyone was on time. Both of his assistants, Jeff and Chris, were prompt, friendly and professional. Everyone was working hard and respectfully. Mike was present each day for a good bit of the work to make sure things were done right and doing much of the work himself. The work was completed in two days and we were so pleased with the results. The finished product is beautiful!!!! And the end price was very reasonable. We will definitely remember Mike the next time we need work done around the house. He changed our outlook on home renovations as our first experience was not as positive. We are very happy with his services and he's very good. He is busy and sometimes it takes time to get to us but he always returns back. He is very communicative and when he says, he'll come up to do the work, he shows up. We can rely on him on what he says and his estimates are always accurate. He does a good job, cleans up and he's very polite. The overall experience has been excellent.

We have used Mike in the past and liked his work. We needed a storm door replaced and contacted Mike to come out and install a new storm door. He was there on time, removed the old door, and replaced the new one. We would recommend Mike to our family and friends.

He put up drywall and he matched the texture so it looks like the rest of the ceiling. I thought his service was great and I loved dealing with him. He was very professional and I completely trusted him. He would check in on his son and constantly tell him the right way to do something. He is hard to get hold of, though.

I have used Mike's handiman service several times in the past and they have always done good work, the most recent job was installing a new bathroom fan/light. He did a good job at a reasonable price. Only drawback to using him is that he always seems to be pretty busy so it can take a week or so before he gets to you.

They did a fine job, we will certainly use them again. They were quick, and their price was fair. Price is close.

He is fabulous. He was helping us getting our home on the market. He does really quality work.

We use them for everything and they are fantastic. They are professional and punctual. They get the work done very quickly and they are clean. We trust them to do just about anything around the house. They are going to seal our patio.
