MIKE'S HANDYMAN SERVICE

It's all work with Mike. He makes sure all the work is done correctly. He primed the wood before he put it in, and did some paint matching for us as well. He's very reasonable on his rates, he makes sure you approve of his work, and will make it right if it's not done correctly.

We're in a very old house. I finally got fed up with all the wood paneling in some of our rooms, but I didn't want to waste time by tearing it all out myself. I called up Mike's Handymen Service to paint my bedroom, living room, hallway, entry area and stairs. I also had a collapsing ceiling they had to tear out and replace. It was a lot of painting!!! I chose all the colors at Lowe's and they matched the colors I'd asked for. I have a very tall entryway where the stairs go up and it was very hard to reach; I wouldn't do it myself at all. It took about 4 days with all the prepping and sanding of all the wood paneling for them to finish. I love how things look now!

We had a problem with birds flying over. He did an excellent job. He fixed our railing that needed some work done. He power washed our front walk and our drive way. He quoted us at $800, but he charged us less than that because it didn't take as long as he thought. We were happy with how it looked. I would recommend him and use him again in the future.

Excellent work and customer service. I rarely see anyone with as strong of a work ethic as Mike and his son, Jake. They are a pleasure to work with - I heartily recommend them.

Mike is excellent. He is reliable, thorough, professional, and easy-to-work with. He strikes the right balance between giving advice and listening to my interests. He has done several other handyman projects at my home, and all are done to the highest standard.

I called Mike for a quote on some work I needed done. He was out of town, and did not get back with me for little over a week. I still had him come by for an estimate. He did come by, and was prompt and friendly, but he has not followed up as promised with my estimate. It's been over two weeks now. I will not hire him.

They checked the old sump pump (which was old, wasn't running and had been quite noisy when it did work), offered to fix it but couldn't guarantee how long it would run. They pointed out that it's currently emptying right outside next to foundation, to seep down and back into crawl space, and maybe we should run a pipe farther away from the house. They did so; we're going to need to bury the pipe (and add the other sump pump to that pipe) later on but that's for another time.

They did a fantastic job; complete night and day difference than from when they began. Their prices were fair. We paid close to $2000 and that includes the material and the two and a half days (of labor) it took to get the jobs done. They were here when they said they'd be. We really liked working with them and they were really very personable too. It seemed like they could fix just about anything. We are having them come back soon to finish assembling a desk for us once the pieces come in.

He said he'd be out the next day and that he could do the work the next morning. He did a superior job and he was punctual. He was professional and did an excellent and quick job. The price was excellent as well.

Mike knew what he was doing and promptly repaired the other companies mistakes. He replaced the wax ring and bolts along with other things.

Mike Davidson and his son Jake did excellent work. They were punctual, friendly and they had great attention to detail.

Mike was wonderful! I have a story and a half home which has total siding in the back. The job was bigger than I could afford at one time. Mike was willing to break the job into two parts so I could afford to finish the work. The work is exceptional. He comes when he says he will come. I couldn't be happier to find someone I can trust and who does such quality work.

These were two different jobs done at separate times. The bedroom was $3500 and the bathroom was $1700.

I met with Mike and explained the work that I wanted done. He gave me a quote and I accepted it. I spoke to him one more time to let him know what kind of flooring I wanted in the kitchen and he took care of the rest. He completed the work within the time frame that he said he would do so. He completed it within budget as well. It was impressed that he completed all the work without any hassle on my part. He called to let me know the work was complete on the rental and let me know he left the invoice on the kitchen table. It turned out great.

Mike showed up on time and began work immediately. Sink had been in place for 15 years and was VERY difficult to remove. Mike had to heat the sink with a heat gun to soften the old caulk. Eventually the sink came loose and Mike removed it without damaging the countertop. The sink did not fit perfectly so he had to enlarge the hole. He replumbed to drain and the feed lines. What started out as a fairly straightforward job ended up having problems that were not Mike's fault. I was impressed with the way he managed to solve each difficulty. He did a great job.

Great. Mr. Davidson showed up exactly when he said he would, looked at the proposed work, made suggestions and asked our preferences, then did the job quickly and without fuss and bother. The price was slightly higher than quoted because price of gates had gone up, but we agreed that it was reasonable and had him go ahead.

Overall they did a good job. When I paid the final payment with a money order, I wanted the guarantee in writing, which I never received and that's why I gave them a C in responsiveness. The paint job was really good and I'd use them again but get all the information with warranties up front.

Polite, neat, cleaned up mess. Does not listen to his phone messages so was frustrating when repair did not work (happened twice), apologized profusely.

He did a good job and were helpful and nice. He went out 2-3 times to purchase the materials.

Mike did a great job! He returned my calls promptly and showed up on time. He worked within our scheduled time frame and around our business hours, and even did a lot of the work after hours. Mike is a very detail oriented guy and we are very pleased with his work. We will definitely call Mike again for handyman services.

While this was a very small project, Mike cheerfully agreed to do the work. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time with the tools and hangers necessary to do the job. He was careful and kept the work area clean. My mother and I were satisfied with the results and would use Mike again.

I live in a historic district and a historic house with wood siding. I had multiple rotten pieces of wood on one side that needed replacing before winter. Mike evaluated and quoted me a fair price. He was pretty booked up so it took him a month to get to my job, but he completed it quickly and fairly and the work was of high quality. He even worked a Sat. and Sun. to ensure that it was done before winter really hit. It may take him a little time to get back to you, but he does good, fair work. Specifically he only removed what was bad and salvaged what he could knowing that I was on a budget.

I think they did a wonderful job. He was there as soon as he could be. Rebuilt the fence completely and the job is perfect. It is the best service I've ever had. It is good to be truly satisfied.

There were no problems. They are fairly well booked ahead, but our issues were not emergencies. It sometimes takes a couple days to hear back.

He was excellent. He worked me into his schedule even though he was booked. Priced per hour.
