Long Brothers Tree Service

I called Mr Long ahead of a snow storm to get on his list to have my driveway plowed after reading a good review on Angies List. He told me to call back after the storm, so I called the morning after the storm and was put on the list. Approximately 7 hours later, the guy showed up and told me it would be $100 to plow my average size driveway. Since it was so late in the day I went ahead and paid them reluctantly. In the past, I have paid $25-30 for normal snow plowing and 40-50 when it was a heavy snowfall. I feel like they took advantage of the situation and I will never use them again.

We were extremely impressed with the family effort. Mr. Long gave us the estimate, he arrived with the family crew as promised. And completed the job as promised.

During the recent high winds, our Bradford Pear tree was blown down. I call Mr. Long and explained what was wrong. He said he would send his son to look at the job.Robert came and we agreed on a price. About an hour later, Robert returned with his crew and the job of taking out te rest of the tree and grinding the stump proceeded. The job was completed and all the debris was removed. I highly recommended these people and will use them again. .

We requested a quote and received an immediate visit from Mr. Long the following day. We had other pricing that was a bit cheaper and Mr. Long agreed to match that pricing. While he was on premises my wife requested his crew to do additional work. While that work was not quoted Mr. Long worked out favorable pricing and completed the addtional work. We have used this company in the past and will continue using their services in the future.

Mr. Long came when he said he would for estimate ...we discussed options for the trees and we agreed on the service. His son and others came to do the acutal work. They communicated with me frequently, answered questions when I asked and then they cleaned up all the left over leaf and twig leftovers. I have used them many times before and have always been satisfied with their work.

They were on time and were very professional in cutting down the large spruce tree that was in the front yard (near the street), and then ground the stump and exposed roots. In grinding the stump, they went even further down to get all of the large roots out than they really had to. Afterward, they cleaned up very well, and spread the dirt out so that all I had to do was just plant grass seed. A really Great Job!

They did a great job!!! I called on Monday for an estimate to get my Bradford pear tree trimmed. He came out on Monday and the job was completed on Wednesday!!! He gave a 10% discount for Angie's List too!!! AWESOME!!! Would definitely use them again.

We cannot recommend Mr. Long highly enough. We called him to have a tree removed at the corner of our deck, and to remove an overhanging branch from another tree. He came out the same evening we called him and gave us a quick estimate. We told him we wanted to check a couple of other places and he agreed that we should. After we called him back to do the job it was scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 3. He came out while we were gone, took down the tree and the branch, and left the yard spotless with no mess to show he had been there. When we realized he had not left a bill, we called and were told and quot;just put a check in the mailand quot;. Great people to deal with. That's refreshing these days.

I've used them for years. The cost of the estimate was too high so I didn't have the work done this last time. I was rather shocked at the cost because normally they have been pretty reasonable. They are nice people but it was way too high. Everything was a good experience except the cost was outrageous. I would use them again if the price is right.

Long employees were at out house at the time they quoted. They trimmed a Bradford Pear Tree and did a great job. The clean up was done well too. Fairly priced to boot.

Norris and crew returned the following day to remove the infested trees, some of which were 100+ years old. Not only were they professional and knowledgable but diligent and hardworking in not-so-ideal circumstances. Their equipment could not reach the woods beyond the fence area of our home. It was amazing (and intimidating at times) to watch the workers remove such large trees. I would recommend Long’s Tree Service to anyone in this area and beyond. Great crew, knowledgable, hardworking; total professionals.

Had a crew of 5 here for the day. Chipper, bucket truck, tractor etc. Cleared a large area and cleaned up afterward. They worked non-stop from the time they arrived. There price was much less than other quotes. Their equipment may look old, but we got our money's worth.

Although we initially had trouble connecting (phone calls not returned), when we finally did connect, Mr. Long was at our home to give us a free estimate that very same day. The crew of five showed up the next morning about 9 a.m. They called about 30 minutes before arriving. They were meticulously thorough. (I'd challenge anyone to find even a small dead twig in any of these trees!) The crew was friendly and efficient--they had a system and each of them knew what they were doing. And the clean up left my property looking better than it did when they arrived. They worked for about 2 1/2 hours, and we thought the price was extremely reasonable. We would definitely hire them again.

A crew of 5 men came to my house with chain saws, trucks, a cherry picker and chipper. The crew removed the limbs still attached to the trunk and cut down other limbs that were about the snap off. They also did additional trimming to an ash tree that needed attention. The job took about 2 hours, including clean up. They used blowers to remove all the sawdust and debris. They did a completely professional job.

I called for an estimate and Mr. Long said they would come to our house the next day. His son arrived at the time he said he would and gave me an estimate. The son returned and cut the limbs that I wanted cut as well as a couple that were dead. The fellows also stacked some of the wood for our son to use in his fire pit. They also cleaned the yard and patio. We are very happy with their service.

My experience with Long Brothers was completely satisfactory. They removed one birch tree and ground up the stump and roots. They also pruned four trees. They worked together as a team, were quick, and cleaned up completely.

I called up Mr. Long one hour ago to have firewood delivered. He delivered it within the hour. Very punctual and very considerate.

After the large snowfall that occurred on December 25 -26, I was essentially trapped in my home due to the snow and disabilities that make it difficult to walk. I called Norris Long and he immediately sent a crew to my home. In less than two hours after my call, all snow was removed in the designated areas. This was the first time I had used them for snow removal and was extremely happy with their performance. I had used Long's Tree Service for many years for tree trimming and had always been very pleased with the results. Long's will always be my first call for tree trimming and snow removal. I have frequently recommended them to friends.

My husband called Mr. Long back Saturday morning and he said his son would contact us shortly to see if he could deliver today. We received a call back in approximately 10 minutes saying they would be by within the hour. Extremely prompt and fast service! Great quality wood and we will definitely call on them in the future. Mr. Long and his son were both very friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Called on late Monday to get estimate, expecting next day for estimate, but showed up in couple of hours same day and provided reasonable estimate to remove 3 large box elder trees scattered on ~ 2 acre lot. We didn't make a decision till Wednesday of that same week to go with Long's. Long Bros was planning to come on Saturday to do the work, but worked us in on Friday. They did a great job removing all 3 trees (stump and all). Left the worksite completely cleaned, no damages to our yard. Was in contact with the owner (Norris) the whole time, plus he was willing to negotiate with the price. In addition to the removal of box elders, they cut down a small thorny locust tree with no additional charge since they were already onsite. Definitely will give them a call for any additional tree removal.

This is the 3rd time I've used Long's over the last 20 years for tree removal and they always do a great job. This time they came 2 days after the estimate and brought all the people and equipment needed to complete the job in just over 2 hours. This is a family business with the elder owner and quot;Norrisand quot; moving into a semi retired role preparing estimates and providing general oversight peppered with entertaining conversation. They have accomodated any and all of my requests from cutting limbs to firewood length to making a level cut on a stump to serve as a chopping block back by my woodshed. One year I had them take down a large sweet gum tree as I was tired of dealing with the spiked seed balls it produced annually. When I got home from work, I discovered that they had even raked the entire front yard to remove any remnants of those spikey little balls - which is not an easy task. I will definitely call them again for future needs.

I contacted Long Brothers Tree Service on 9-28-12 at about 3pm to request a estimate to cut a maple tree that had several limbs overhanging my garage. I spoke to Robert Long who stated that he could be out to give me an estimate in a couple minutes. Mr. Long arrived 15 minutes later and was very courteous and professional. He gave me an estimate of $200 to cut the forks off of the maple tree, cut up the firewood, and haul off the brush. I asked when he could have this scheduled and he said due to the wet weather he was backed up for about a week or two. I told him I would get back with him about the service. I contacted him on 10-03-12 to see when I could get my service scheduled. Mr. Long told me he could fit me in the very next day. When I returned home the following evening the tree was cut just as I had requested and all the firewood was stacked neatly under the overhang of my garage. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves and even cleaned out my gutters which had previously been full. I would absolutely recommend Long Brothers Tree Service to anyone and will use them again for any service I may need.

I almost (almost!) wish I had more tree work for them. Their price was very reasonable and a week later, they were at my house chopping and shredding up a tree that had fallen in a storm, trimming mulberrys (I hate those trees) back from the fence line and cutting back a silver maple from hanging over the house. It took the four of them no time at all. Nice. Courteous. Professional. I'd recommend Longs in a heartbeat. Very happy with their work and now an enthusiastic supporter. Way to go, guys! We had culled an Angie's List group down to a few to call. Two companies never even bothered to call us back, though they received good ratings. One had an illness in the family and their business was kind of on hold. So it came down to Long's and another outfit (also very nice, by the way). We picked Long's because of the AL ratings, the price...and man, the guy who came out was just a good ole boy you couldn't help but like. Glad we chose Long's.

They always do an excellent job at a fair price. They always clean up after themselves, which most companies I deal with do not. It is a family-owned business, and they are very nice people.

Amazed at how quickly they were able to bring it down and even more amazed by the clean up. They did a very very nice job.
