 + -1 moreWe absolutely loved Kandy. Felt she was part of the family. All of a sudden, we never heard from her. Made numerous attempts to contact her (voice mails; text messages); however, we never received a response. If Kandy was not happy, we would have appreciated some type of resignation, or notice. Back to my search for another housekeeper.
Description of Work: Thorough housecleaning annually. Regular cleaning once a month.

 + -1 moreI had Kandy come for an estimate. I approved the estimate and was excited to get started. I have emails verifying the approved date and time (May 3rd between 9-10). After picking up the house and paying to take the kids to daycare to get them out of the house, I received an email about 10:30 telling me she will be there around 11, something about dropping her son off at the airport came up. Noon rolled around and no word. I called and left a message and emailed. No response to either. 1 pm came and I tried to call again. She had turned her phone off and it went straight to voice mail. I was worried about her because I thought maybe something happened. But then after a week went by with no response about why she didn't show up or apology, I was just mad. She will never be called again and I have since found someone I am really happy with.
Description of Work: Gave me an estimate and then did not show up to provide the services.

 + -1 moreWe contacted Anigi's List for an estimate of cost for a top to bottom cleaning of an empty 2 story house with very short notice to complete the job. She responded very quickly and was very well priced compared to some other quotes we received, considering it was an empty house. When she showed up she was professional and brought all the required implements, cleaning supplies, and trash bags. She was very friendly. She came late in the afternoon (as requested) and was here for several hours. We did a quick walk through together to familiarize herself with the house and set expectations. She had the empty house to herself without any interference. Once she was done, we did a walk through together for inspection. There was one minor miss, some sawdust was over looked in the back of a bathroom drawer, she was quick to respond by cleaning it up right away. My wife is very picky and stated she would definitely hire her again if needed since she did a very good job. It took about 4 hours.
Description of Work: This was an empty house when that needed to be cleaned. She responded quickly to a last minute request for a move-in clean up of a 2 story house and was reasonably priced. She was very professional and fairly thorough. She did floors, walls, cabinets, closets, windows, and 2 1/2 baths.

 + -1 moreI wish I would have found her at least a year ago. She has cleaned our house once and has done a better job than the other people have done in six months!
Description of Work: Our house had been very poorly cleaned for several months (oddly, with a company on this list with very high reviews). I had mentioned to the new owners of that company my concern with simply using those Swiffer things for "dusting" and had asked if they could actually use a dust rag and polish instead. The owner said he would take that into consideration, but nothing changed. I called back again to discuss my crystal decorations and to my astonishment, the ladies assigned to our house "don't have Windex or anything like that" to clean crystal. So, we decided it was definitely time to look elsewhere. So, we found Kandy! She is wonderful! She is professional and does a great job!

 + -1 moreKandy has been cleaning my home for over a year. I am very picky when it comes to my home, so having found Kandy was truly wonderful. She spends the time to do a good job and doesn't rush through like some other services I used in the past. She is like part of our family now. Kandy is top-notch, very reasonably priced, responsible, hard-working, thorough, and professional. I noticed another reviewer who was angry because Kandy didn't respond to her call. I know that Kandy's phone was stolen, so that may be the reason. I think Kandy is the 4th or 5th housekeeping service I tried until I was totally satisfied. The other services do not measure up...believe me, I've tried many of them. The others all start off with a bang, but eventually they get lazy and begin to under-perform. That has never been the case with Kandy. I highly recommend Kandy if you want high quality, like I do.

 + 0 moreKandy is a little high priced but she is prompt and does an excellent job. She has a problem with a lost phone but she we finally reconnected and she has scheduled monthly cleaning. She is prompt and she cleans thoroughly when she comes. She does not do laundry but she washes dishes and cleans all surfaces in all the rooms. If you want to add some areas not normally, she will do it and she will also do minor installations. I needed a new shower head and shower rod replaced and she did a great job on that. She is kind and non judgmental.
Description of Work: She cleaned the kitchen and bath surfaces thoroughly with disinfectant. She cleans the floors and dusts in the other room. She washes the stove top grills and drip pans and she washes dishes. She sweeps, mops the floor as well and runs the sweeper. She cleans inside the microwave and does any additional requests when asked. She cleans the bathtub until it shines and takes out the trash.

 + -1 moreIt is a shame I couldn't try them because most of the reports I read prior to contacting Kandy were good. Obviously I can't hire someone that doesn't return my messages.
Description of Work: I contacted Kandy and she responded right away to ask if I wanted a one time cleaning and when could she come over to give a quote. I responded right away with my information, but never heard back. I emailed again with no response. Very unprofessional.

 + -1 moreOverall okay but pricey for me based on previous cleaning person who also washed rugs and linens, did dishes and washed other clothes. Also, Kleaning by Design used a steam cleaner on my laminate floors and I did not care for that. Otherwise she did fine.
Description of Work: Monthly house cleaning for 3 months. Clean bedrooms including stripping the beds and remaking with clean linens; cleaning bathrooms. Cleaned living room.

 + 1 moreI have high standards and Kandy meets or exceeds all my expectations. She is thorough, conscientious, and committed. Unlike other cleaning services I have hired, Kandy provides the most thorough and professional service. I highly recommend her over any other of the services out there ... and believe me, I've tried several of them and they all left me disappointed. Kandy Hood is outstanding. She also went the extra mile to have her insurance company email her documents proving her insurance and bonding. Take my word, you will love working with Kandy. She's absolutely THE BEST in the business.
Description of Work: After I interviewed Kandy, I hired her and have been very pleased with my decision. Kandy's initial 2-day deep cleaning was thorough. My home was cleaned top to bottom and included the blinds, baseboards, etc. Then, I scheduled Kandy once a month to clean the house. She has been cleaning for several months. Kandy typically arrives around 10:00 a.m. and leaves around 2:00 or 2:30. My house is a two story house and includes 11 rooms. Kandy supplies her own cleaning products which leave the house smelling great! Some of the rooms are carpeted, some wood, and some ceramic tile; all are cleaned appropriately. What I like is that Kandy steams the ceramic floors, which assures me they are clean. If there is a project that needs particular attention one month, Kandy will incorporate that into her schedule. For example, if I asked her to work on the baseboards in the house one month, she will incorporate that request. Having a cat and a dog in our home, there is a lot of dust when she arrives each month. When she is finished, the house is spotless and smells great!

The garage was fantastic, they even setup the tables. These ladies are fantastic.. very very detailed. We defiantly got more than our moneys worth! We have asked them to come every 2 weeks to clean. Kristi called two weeks ago to advise she and Kandy were splitting up the business and she would come clean the house with her cousin the next day. We were not comfortable with this and told Kristi we would prefer to talk to Kandy before making any changes to the original agreement. Kristi provided a phone number to contact Kandy and we have been trying to reach her for the last two weeks. We have also left voicemails for Kristi and no one has returned any of our calls or emails. At this point we would just like to have our house key returned. It's disappointing because they did a good job at a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: The first time was a deep cleaning of the first floor and 3 rooms on the second floor. Cleaned kitchen cabinet fronts, counter tops, appliances, dusted, cleaned glass and mirrors, steamed cleaned hardwood floors, window blinds, cleaned two bathrooms, vaccumed rugs, cleaned baseboards.Bi-weekly cleaning of first floor and 3 rooms on the second floor included couter tops, dusting, cleaned glass and mirrors, dust mopped hardwood floors and steam cleaned, cleaned two bathrooms, vaccumed rugs, changed the sheets on the bed.

 + 1 moresee above: i may not move now that my house is so clean. the txt from my wife was "uh, ya...good is an understatement". they were super nice and nice to our two dogs and two cats. and they changed the sheets on the bed. it is like coming home to a hotel.
Description of Work: I have a 1,600 Sq foot house. Kandy spent 7 hours there. working on her hands and knees to clean everything. She cleaned the floor, the bookshelves, the books, the blinds, the stairs, the lights, the light fixtures. i mean honestly it was a bit insane how much work she did. I contacted her monday, she was at my house tuesday. we got a quote and then she went straight to work. She worked from 1pm to 8pm straight. I am having her clean my house bi-weekly from now on. but the deep cleaning was simply insane.
