+ -1 moreI needed to have an attic access enlarged due to the extremely small size--barely big enough to squeeze through. John was recommended to me by Dave Lewis ( the electrician I found on Angie's List) when the small access made it difficult to perform electrical work. John came out soon after I called him, and he was able to come back a few days later to do the work. The access was enlarged to the size of the closet and I no longer worry if it is necessary to access that section of the attic. It was a 2-man job and they did great work. The work was completed in a short amount of time. The clean-up was superb and you would never know that anything had been done--except I know! I would definitely recommend John's work. I plan to contact him in the future for more work.
Description of Work: John enlarged an attic access that was in a hall linen closet.

+ -1 moreHe was prompt, he showed up when he said he would, and he turned the quote around quickly. So far, the work he did has been good and we haven't had any issues yet. The workers that came out were courteous, but he didn't do the work himself.
Description of Work: John Williamson Construction did work on our chimney and roof. He did some tuckpointing, he built up the chimney, and he put in a liner.

Description of Work: I had interior damage caused by an ice dam when we had the ice storm last winter. Mr. Williamson, who had been recommended by my insurance agent, gave me an estimate for the insurance adjuster at the time. The (new) roof was damaged when the ice was removed. I live in a condo and so had no control over when the roof would be repaired. Once that had been done to the property manager's satisfaction, I had Mr. Williamson return to repair the interior damage. He checked the attic and the ceiling and walls in the bedroom affected for moisture, replaced insulation in one section of wall and replaced the drywall for that section and a section of the ceiling. He patched and then painted the ceiling and side walls (2 coats) in that room. The entire job took him a little under three days and charged me the amount I received from the insurance settlement. He did an excellent job.
