+ -1 moreJohn was very meticulous, paying attention to detail, cleaned up debris and hauled it away at the end of each work day. We were rightly convinced that John was a well trained professional with a dedicated commitment to his customers. We were provided quality workmanship at a very reasonable cost with complete satisfaction. We will definitely use Indiana Chimney Sweep in the future and we highly recommend them for your needs.
Description of Work: John provided us with a thorough and detailed inspection of our chimney chase with photos of water damage and mold. This damage had been going on for some time unknown to us due to a rusted and leaking metal chimney chase cover. John placed a tarp over the chimney chase to prevent further damage. Because of budget restraints, he was able to save the existing firebox, fireplace and gas logs. The cost for a new replacement was over $4000. It was not a simple task, but John worked during some of our hottest days climbing down a rope ladder into the chase. He worked in the crawl space (not a roomy, light or cheery place to be) and jacked up the firebox allowing him to replace the rotted subfloor. John took the fireplace apart to lighten it, put everything back in place after replacing the subfloor and installed a new chimney chase cover that we provided.

+ -1 moreJohn arrived right on time and was very thorough. He placed a covering down on our entry floor and living room carpet to contain any ash. He completely cleaned the ash from our fireplace using a quiet HEPA filtered shop vac and a barrier tarp to prevent air contamination. He got up on the roof and inspected the chimney flu and swept it out. We have been having a problem with our damper and he was able to determine the cause. He was courteous and polite.
Description of Work: Inspected and cleaned our chimney and fireplace.
