I called Jim to do a small job in the kitchen. It turned out great. Later, I wanted the dining room done. I had had some wallpaper that I had wanted to use, but he measured and figured it wouldn't work. So I bought new paper. When it came in, I called him to do that job. His father was very ill, and he was spending time with him in the hospital. But he contacted me a little later, I think after his dad passed away, and said he could come and do the work so that our house could be put back together for Easter. I thought it was very thoughtful and considerate of him to think of us at such a time.

He was nice, professional, and he was a very polite guy. His pricing was competitive.

Houdek Wallpapering and Paint gave me a fair estimate and I trusted them to do the job.

We used Jim and his 3 painters in conjunction with Beretta Bros. and Associates who contract with Jim to handle their paint jobs (Beretta Bros. are builders and home re-modelers). Greg Beretta oversaw the job from start to finish, advising Jim about details that resulted in an excellent finished product. Jim uses top-of-the-line paint, caulk, stain and varnish. He and his crew brush on the paint and are experienced to the point that they don't need to tape things off, so much time is saved (and money). The work site was left clean and neat each day. Jim and his crew are very personable and will do whatever it takes to get the job done right. In particular, our refinished entry door is now rich-looking and gorgeous and the caulking job is stupendous. Houdek's workmanship and ethic are both outstanding. Jim Houdek came out for an estimate to paint the inside of our house, along with some minor repairs (cracks & chips). He did the work perfectly and also had to paint around some handmade stencils in the kitchen. He and his crew were on time, courteous, reasonably priced, and best of all, good at their jobs. Now he is the only painter we call.

VERY EASYGOING PERSONALITY AND EFFICIENT WORKER. COMPLETION WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN LESS THAN A DAY BUT I WAS SHORT ON MATERIALS ORDERED. HE CAME BACK QUICKLY WHEN MORE PAPER WAS AVAILABLE TO FINISH THE JOB. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE WALLPAPER MATCHING DONE ON THE CEILING REPAIRS.
