Regina quickly resolved my printing issues, and demonstrated how to complete several tasks that I was having trouble with on my own. She was very easy to talk with and she understood my concerns. Her clarifications, and demonstrations were very helpful. I would highly recommend her services. This home service call was a very positive experience , and I will definitely use Geek In Pink for any future computer concerns.

I contacted Geeks in Pink a few weeks ago because I was experiencing connectivity issues with my laptop on my home network. I requested they come to my home since I wasnt sure if the issues were with my computer or my network. Tech arrived on time and was pleasant. She worked on my laptop and asked several questions during her 1.25 hour visit. She gave me a typed list of things she attempted. . None really concerned the connectivity of my laptop (which is why I contacted them in the first place) . I paid $115 . After she left, I continued to have the same issues I had before- dropped service, constant messages popping up saying connectivity to printer was lost, etc. I called Geeks in Pink (Greenwood- Smith Valley Road) and told them it still wasnt working. Rep told me to bring it in that it might be a driver issue that they could replace in the shop. I took it in, got a call the next day saying it was virus related and they could clean it up for $140. I told them I had already paid $115 and asked if that would be credited. He said no, but they would look at the write up of what the lady did at the house and maybe deduct some. I had them do the virus work and was called the next day. They said they would take $25 off my new bill of $140 to do the virus work and I gave them the OK- didn't have much of a choice since I still had the problem. Picked my computer up , brought it home and it STILL has the exact same problems I had before calling them the first time. I have NO CLUE what I paid for the first time the lady came to my house. She didnt address the problem and now I have pai DOUBLE for absolutely NOTHING. The whole idea of having the tech to my house to begin with was to check my laptop WITH my network. Obviously this was not done and the virus issues were not the problem since it did not fix my issues. So for $230 I have the same issues as when I started. Will not be using Geeks in Pink again.

I Took newer laptop in because one key was broken. They did nothing - at first they called and said the tech couldn't figure out any problems. So I had to point out which key was broken (it was slapped in place and looked fine but if you pressed it then the key easily popped off - I noted that in the request when I dropped it off with them). That left me under impressed. Then they called me 48 hours later to say the entire keyboard had to be replaced (totally possible as the newer laptops have that at times especially when there is touch pad involved). They surprised me when they also claimed it was "full of virusus" and I needed 140 dollars of virus removal work done (we have and had no problems and have both a high end virus protection software and adware/spyware protecting and removing software installed and running in the background). I initially reluctantly agreed to the keyboard work and refused the other. I was concerned about the 2 week turnaround they quoted but agreed to the work. But the date they gave me came and went with no contact from them. I finally called to inquire on status expecting it to be done and was told the part had not arrived and they did not know when it would - they thought probably this week. Well I picked up the laptop immediately with no work completed and am out my diagnostic fee - which was worthless given that I told them the key needed replaced. Will not go back. Poor communication and I believe they couldn't find the part and rather than tell me were continuing to shop for it. A more reputable place would have allowed me to keep the laptop while awaiting the part. That's what the new place I took it to is doing.

[Member Name Removed], we understand how frustrating it can be waiting for a computer repair when there is no immediate fix available. Unfortunately, due to design of your laptop's keyboard, one key was not available to be replaced as easily as we both would wish. We were unable to replicate the issue in the beginning due to a misinterpretation: the key wasn't physically broken away from the keyboard rather would pop away from the keyboard when hit at a certain angle. I reviewed the recorded call from Jan 27th shortly after 4pm; as we explained when we spoke with you that specific part is scarce to begin with and was on backorder with the vendors who do offer it. We explained that the vendor was estimating time until shipment of 10 business days. That was when they anticipated it leaving their facility. We asked if you still wanted to proceed with the special order part and you said you did. Our employee was supposed to collect payment for the special order part at that time, but did not. As a business we do our best to accommodate the needs of our customers as quickly as possible; unfortunately availability of special order parts is not within our control. We cautioned about this ahead of time and while you weren't pleased, you indicated to proceed with the keyboard replacement even after we noted the long anticipated arrival time due to scarcity of the part at the time of ordering. We are always sure that our customers are aware that there is a mandatory bench fee for any computer checked into our shop. The fee will be applied if you decide to go forward with any repairs. We apologize that you have a negative outlook towards the fee, but as a small business, the bench fee charge is essential as it helps cover the amount of time it takes to cover various aspects of a job whether it be diagnosing a machine, locating a special part, placing orders and communicating the information to customers. In this case it did not even cover our costs on the special order part you requested. We never try to force anyone to approve repairs with us, and do our absolute best to give the fairest advice. Our best business practices policy is to make customers aware of any other problems that are noticed so customers can make an informed decision on whether or not to invest in repairing a unit given the overall condition it is in. Although you may not have had any problems initially with your computer, the technicians detected a virus and wanted to be sure you were aware of this. You were not pressured to add this service, you were merely made aware that it is infected and we let you know that virus removal is a service we offer and what the cost of that is should decide to partake of that offering. The quote in your review that said we told you it is "full of viruses" is inaccurate; we said we also want to let you know "your computer is infected" on that call. Even the highest rated malware and virus protection programs are not fail-proof. There are constantly new viruses being forged daily and although they do their best, the protection cannot always keep up as fast as we would hope. As the other computer shop you are working with currently, We also offered to have you take the laptop home and use a USB keyboard issued by GIP until part arrived and that offer was declined. We would have gladly released your computer to you and contacted you when the part had arrived since we did notify you of the very long turn-around given the scarcity of the part; this is something we often encourage customers to do so they are not without their computer. While it's unfortunate that you are unhappy about the situation and we wish we could have accommodated the repair faster, the facts are that we explained and collected the bench fee when you dropped off on Jan. 25th and told you we would contact you with a diagnosis or update by the end of the next business day, which we did at 5:06pm on the 26th. On January 27th we called you and explained the part situation and informed you fully on part availability situation and that your computer is infected. You approved ordering the special order part after knowing the price and the delayed shipping and declined the virus removal. On Feb. 8th, eight business days after the order was placed and two days before the original estimated date that it would even be shipped, you picked up your computer. This left us with a special order part that you approved and for which you hadn't paid. I have taken this opportunity to remind employees that special order parts always need to be paid by the customer prior to ordering so this doesn't happen again. We strive to conduct our business in a manner in which we treat customers as we would wish to be treated if we were the customer. After reviewing all the job history, I find it unfair that you would leave a negative review after authorizing a repair including a special order part and then pick up the computer declining the repair before the estimated date of shipment even passed. While I understand that customers sometimes change their minds about repairs, giving an inaccurate account of the events and the timeline is a disservice not only to us, but to other customers who have been very happy with our service and happily refer us to their family and friends. Regardless, I am sorry that the part was not more readily available as I don't like to see anyone suffer the frustration of their computer working and I am glad that you found another company to work with in the future for which you are a better fit.

Took the system in because it would not start-up (read/write ram error message). They reset the ram component and advised me of a virus/malware infection. I agreed to their performing a virus/malware removal and system tune-up. I had the machine back in two work days and have now been using it for 5 days and everything seems to be fine.

We used Geek in Pink in Franklin. I would tell others that they didn't really resolve my problem. I would tell them to buy an Apple. I've had a lot of pc's in my time and I don't need them anymore. They got the information of the hard drive, I told them I thought the hard drive was failing, they didn't think it was. They were going to reinstall the operating system, well you couldn't, the hard drive was failing.

Was there something that happened during the repair that was unprofessional? If so, please let us know wand I will address any short comings there may have been. On punctuality, you rated us a B. The computer was dropped off on May 11th. We contacted you with a diagnosis on May 12th and you approved reinstalling the operating system and recovering your data. On May 13th, you called back and said you changed your mind about fixing the computer and only wanted your data recovered. We had this done the same day and the computer was picked up on May 14th. Please let me know what your expectations were on timing so we can be sure we communicate properly with customers in the future so there are no misunderstandings. Typically we quote diagnosis by end of the next business day and repair within 1-2 days of when the customer gives us permission to proceed with the repair. On the price grade of B, we keep our prices as competitive as possible, but we gotta pay bills. ;) Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate the opportunity that you gave us to serve you. 'My desk top went dark and then she just turned off. I paid 45 dollars for Geeks in Pink to assess the issue, They called back within 48 hours and stated that it would just need a tune up. I paid another 40 and my lap top is working great now, They were very prompt and responsive. So, I then took my desk top over which has been broken for awhile . A CD disc exploded inside my computer and then it eventually would not turn on anymore. They fixed the power button and I opted not to fix CD ROM drive because I really do not need it . I now have both of my computers up and running again for 190. I would definitely recommend Geeks in Pink.

We always recommend customers to bring computers to the shop rather than having service in home if they are infected because it allows the time to thoroughly test the stability of the computer after infection is removed. Infection removals can take several hours and for many it's not cost effective to have addressed in home. For our other in home services outside of virus removals we have a 2 week warranty on our onsite work should the same issue arise again. My eight year old laptop screen was flickering when turned on and wouldn't boot fully. I took the laptop to the Franklin store and they diagnosed the problem. They backed up my files and reinstalled my operating system, Windows 7. They also repaired two USB ports that weren't functioning.

I can't say enough about these people. Laura was very patient and knew what I wanted when I called. She was so helpful. I've never had a virus in 40 years so knew nothing about it. She assured me that the technician would know what it was and could remove it. When I brought the computer in, Adam was also very patient and professional. He knew what the virus was and explained a little about it. What I really loved is he didn't tell me much more than I wanted to know like some computer people do. He just told me what I needed to know. He mentioned that with the Cryptolocker virus it could have started to wipe my computer clean. Because of that he would first check to make sure all my files were intact before he did anything to remove the virus and then they would call me. Laura called in less than two hours. I was so excited to learn that all of my files, including my pictures and vidoes were still there! She gave me a price of $125.00 for the virus removal and said that the $45.00 for the diagnsis woud be applied to that. I gave permission to do the work. This was late on Friday afternoon. On Monday norning she called and told me the computer was ready for pick up! I am completely happy with the professionalism and friendliness of both Laura and Adam. The price was very fair and the service was certainly very fast. I will recommend the company to anyone I know who needs computer work.

I went to them for a check on my system. I didn't like them at all as they wanted to overcharge me like 300 bucks for which I could buy a new computer. They later said that nothing was working out.

On June 15, 2013 we advised that the repair would exceed the value of the machine and do not recommend repair. When asked how much it would cost to fix, we advised the hard drive would have to be replaced as it had failed. We quoted how much that would cost along with reinstalling the operating system. We also pointed out that we could attempt a data recovery with or without repair the computer. I don't think that is a fair assessment of our service - if the customer notices something is wrong with the computer and then they don't like the news of what actually IS wrong with it, it is merely punishing the messenger for delivery the information that you hired us to investigate. In this case we did not advise repair, but when asked if we could repair it and how much it would be we did say how much. In this case the machine was not worth that much.

Amanda showed up right on time and provided exceptional service! She was warm and made it easy to figure out just what work we needed done to our computers. Now, this was all done in our home, I didn't have to unhook a thing! While waiting for cleanups on the hard drives, she taught me some tricks (and some things I just didn't know how to do) with our new printer. An excellent and patient teacher, she represented Geek in Pink with competency, skill and kindness. Kudos!

I have dealt with Geek in Pink before and was always happy with their advice. Previously I did not pay them for any service, but they were willing to give me free advice, which was good advice. This time I dropped the laptop off and told the technician the symptoms. She told me of the $45 diagnostic fee, and that they would notify me of what they found. They did call promptly with information on the problem and told me the estimate to fix it. I okayed the work, and it was done promptly. I have always found them to be very professional and friendly to deal with.
