Air conditioner service was second service on an annual contract for both furnace and air conditioner. The first service was during the heating system on the furnace. Overall service contract was 220.00 for one year for both furnace and air conditioner and had been paid previously, so there was not any charge for this visit. The 100.00 approximate cost of service shown is just the approximate air conditioner service portion of the service agreement.

Went great. Better quote than some of the companys with more reviews on this site and i felt better about the quality of the work that was done than I did with the other big companies. Will use for my future work

My AC went out August 22, 2014. Having used Excel in the past for an AC repair, I called them again. They scheduled an appointment for Monday, August 25th for a tech to check the system. I received a call at 7:15 a.m. on August 25th confirming that I still needed the tech to come out; I assured them I did. the tech arrived around 11:30 a.m. He was unable to repair the unit this time and gave me options for replacement. (Compressor only vs. compressor & furnace.) I right away scheduled to have the units replaced. The office staff was great, and scheduled me for the very next day! It was 90 degrees in my home in the afternoon on August 25th, so I was extremely grateful. The company's repair man arrived the next morning promptly and I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was the same repair man from 2 years prior who fixed my unit. The work was completed in a timely fashion; the repair man was very professional and sympathetic to the warm and humid house. I did call another highly rated company for an estimate, but they were unable to come for a couple days, so I went ahead with Excel. This company has been great to work with. The only thing they did not go over with me were any choices/options regarding units. I don't know heating and AC so perhaps there wasn't much to discuss, but I realized later that they told me what they would install; I had no choice in this decision. I will definitely use this company in the future. Highly recommend!

We could not be more pleased with their work. They kept us informed throughout the installation phase, inviting our input at appropriate times. We are always pleased with Excel Heating & Air Conditioning. Their bi-annual service to check A/C and Heating insures proper maintenance on our system. They were able to replace a sensor and ignitor for us to prevent any issues throughout the winter. Very pleased and will continue to use them.

Excel was the original installer and although in Greenwood very active in Carmel. Would use again. I had thought the Carrier warranty provided for parts and labor but was advised labor was not covered.

He came out on a Saturday to do the work and did not charge us any extra. We left a message on Friday and they came out Saturday. It went great and he was very fast and very efficient. They did not charge us any mileage for any of the travel. He was very pleasant.

Eric has been our technician for a while now, and he is very polite and conscientious. He had informed us about the compressor being calibrated incorrectly and came back to replace some of the interior parts for us since it was still under warrantee.

They are much more reasonable by the hour than others.

Great. The key memory I have from the whole experience is that the owner encouraged us to go with the less expensive option which fit our needs rather than trying to convince us to buy the more expensive unit. Very honest people.

Two years ago, we were fortunate to meet David and his team while getting estimates for replacing our furnace. The Excel crew did an outsanding job on the furnace installation and we now work with them exclusively for our heating an A/C work. We never hesitate who to call if we need assistance. The latest request for service was the installation and venting of a new Broan range hood. Not only did Excel pick up the part from the retail store on our behalf, but scheduled us as a high priority. Larry arrived on time and did a masterfuly job in installing the Broan range hood, venting it outside. He also identified the source of the propane small leak by the water heater pilot and fixed it as well. Today the work was performed with high quality and great attention to detail. If you are looking for a professional heating and a/c company that is reliable and understands the importance of customer service, you want Excel Heating & AC.

WHEN someone shows up, he does a good job. He is professional and courteous. For the past few years, I purchased a plan from Excel for furnace and air conditioner service and cleaning and for them to be contacted if any problems occur. Well, the only problem that I have encountered is that they do not show up for scheduled appointments. Three times that I have scheduled an appointment for annual service or to have a part replaced, they have not shown up or have called to reschedule. It seems that they are in need of more staff and better management of their schedule. Every time they have indicated that they need to reschedule my appointment because they have to respond to someone else who does not have heat or air conditioning. Now, I am sympathetic that someone does not have heat or air; however, in their company they obviously need to develop a plan that would allow them to respond to scheduled appointments and "emergency" appointments. I am told that they are "swamped" and "too busy" to honor my appointment and that they need to reschedule. This has gotten to be ridiculous. I am VERY disappointed with Excel. It doesn't matter how good their work is if they do not show up to do it.

Tech arrived on time, listened to my explanation of the problem and quickly confirmed that the humidifier fan was not getting power. The system is a little unusual, so he had to call the office for help. He got the info he needed and fixed the problem quickly. The charge listed is their standard diagnostic fee

We have used the services of this company for a number of years and have always been happy with their work. They arrive on time, calling when they are on their way. They are responsive, helpful and courteous. Because of the age of our furnace, they always send a service person who has knowledge of the older oil-fired burners. It gives us a feeling of confidence to know we can depend on this company.

First of all, Excel was so kind in working with us to make arrangements that would accommodate us. When the day came, they arrived right on time. Our house is old, and much needs to be done, and we are both seniors. There were complicating factors, and illness, that would have given lesser companies reasons to be judgmental. Not Excel. They came in smiling and they worked hard for 8 hours. They were quiet and very respectful of us, and of our home. They did all they could to make the experience as pleasant as possible for us. And at the end of the day, when the cool air came up through the registers, it was amazing!! We couldn't have been happier. Thank you so much, Excel.

It was a positive experience. They were very efficient and demonstrated their knowledge. They were very pleasant to do business with and I would definitely do business with them again. I also was impressed how they followed up and sent out a hand written thank you to us for choosing them.

It took them two trys to get the problem fixed, but the furnace is now working properly. The first service man replaced the main switch, but that didn't solve the problem though he thought it did. The second service man found a bad connection, and by fixing that, it solved the problem. On both appointments, I was called as requested, and they were close to my desired times.

The guy broke my air conditioner and then denied it. The lever on the top of the unit was broken. After several weeks, they finally came out and replaced the top, but they charged me $165.00 to do it. When they came again later for their annual contract check, we agreed to part ways.

VERY, VERY GOOD. THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND HAD A COUPLE OF FOLLOW UP CALLS WITH NO CHARGE. WOULD TRUST THIS COMPANY FOR ANY HEATING OR COOLING WORK.
