Description of Work: We needed to replace a 25-year-old deck. Mr. Ralph Ford came to our home, listened to how we wanted the deck to look and created three designs for us. We chose a design and asked for some modifications. Our deck looks exactly like the design with Mr. Ford's improvements. He answered all of our questions completely and stayed within the budget we asked for. What pleased me most was his original idea for a way to place our grill on the deck so it didn't really show when we looked out our back window. With our previous plan, we looked out a window at the back of a grill - yuck. Also, I really wanted a diagonal design with the floor and he designed it so the boards went across the deck with out needing to be cut or joined. It looks very artisitc. The two men who built the deck also removed and hauled away the old deck. They were prompt, careful and helpful. What a great experience for us.

Description of Work: RALPH CAME TO OUR HOME TO DISCUSS OUR DESIRE TO ADD A SCREEN PORCH. TALKED FOR ALMOST 3 HOURS. HE STATED THAT HE WOULD SEND US A PROPOSAL WITHIN A WEEK OR SO. TEN DAYS LATER HE LEFT A MESSAGE SAYING THAT HE COULD NOT TAKE ON ANY MORE JOBS. I RESPECT THAT. I ONLY WISH HE HAD TOLD US THAT IN THE BEGINNING. NOW WE HAVE TO TRY TO FIND ANOTHER POTENTIAL CONTRACTOR AND WE WILL BE LUCKY TO FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN DO IT THIS SUMMER. I WAS BOTHERED BY THE LACK OF CONSIDERATION ON HIS PART.
