D & M Concrete

Because we had new sod put down on the newly built house, D & M Concrete had a challenge to install our patio. Our neighbors cooperated, so they came across two yards with the bobcat. Dirt was removed and put outside of our fence on the side and back where the there was a water. They also smoothed the dirt on the sides of the hill so we could plant grass. They installed the redwood concrete and some got on the sides of the house and patio door, but they removed it without being asked to do so. The charcoal was smoothed over the top of the concrete. The patio looks wonderful, and we are happy with the results. They couldn't seal the patio due to rain coming in. but they came on Sunday and applied the sealer. We really appreciated them going the extra mile. We would recommend D & M Concrete to anybody wanting concrete work done.

I called this company for an estimate last year, but did not have the work done. This fall I called to see if the price would still hold, and they agreed to that. Since I called in the fall it took quite a few weeks for them to get to my job, since everyone hurries to get jobs done before winter. When they were ready, they had me call the Holy Moly people, and began the work the day that service said they could. Except for the second day when it rained, they were on the job early each day and worked tirelessly. The job took 3 days. I am very pleased with the new walk, and feel that it adds considerably to the front view of my house. It has short steps and level walk areas, so I can go down for my mail without falling (a big improvement over the old gravel, sloping walk). The whole experience was good, from office contact to work performed. The cement surface has a brushed finish with a border that looks quite beautiful.

After receiving the estimate, our work was done approximately 7 weeks alter. Doug came out for an estimate on Saturday which was nice. The work took about 3 days to finish. The office staff was polite and helped with a change to our original plan. The estimate was broken down for all of our options.

While Dug wasn't the cheapest bid I received, he was the one I trusted the most. He detailed out everything he would do. Very thoroughly before I hired hi,. Great work.

They came ahead of time and removed shrubs at no cost. Worked to our specifications. They were very accomodating, easy to work with, and helpful.

Our overall experience with D & M Concrete was a very good one.

Very good. D & M is very good about calling and returning calls. He came on a Saturday to do estimate which is great since I didn't have to take off work. He originally came to quote the steps but I had planned on asking him about the garage and sidewalk. He knew what was causing my garage door problem and how best to fix it. I wasn't in a hurry so their timeline of 4-6 weeks was okay with me. My job was small. D & M has a $1000 minimum which helps inspire you to get all the work done at once. This is good. The finished product is excellent. I am very happy I chose D & M.

They were very professional and did everything they said they would do. They did a beautiful job.

Saw truck going down our street. He was doing work several doors down. Called the number from the side of the truck. Also noted add/write up about him from Angie's List. When we spoke on the phone, he set up a time for several days from then. Next couple days, saw the truck going down the street and I stopped and talked the man, who then came in and gave me a quote. He set up a time to do the work for 2 weeks from that day. He was prompt and the work was completed beautifully. Also cleaned up the yard!

Doug came out and quoted, said the work would be performed in approximately four weeks and I showed up did an excellent job which was totally completed in two days.

Doug, the contractor, walked me completely through teh rpcess and he prepared to bid on the project and told me exactly waht to expect in the finished product. His bid was by far the lowest I recieved and when his crew came in, they were quick, efficient and very professional. Their equipment did not damage my yard in any way and the end product was the cleanest and most professional concrete job I have ever seen. I can understand why they are rated with an "A" on Angie's list (that's why i picked them) and echo that grade for Doug and his company. Superb work at a great price and they were punctual. Did the job in 1 and 1/2 days. Ask them for a bid when you need concrete work. You will be happy that you did!

We had an estimate done by them for concrete pouring and repair in late April. Scheduled to have job done in 3-4 weeks. Doug and crew came and tore out existing porch and planter box. Also, tore out several bushes per our request at no charge! Job took 1 and 1/2 days to complete. New porch looks great. We love it. Highly recommend D & M Concrete!!

They were very professional and arrived on time. Everyone worked hard the entire day and nobody stood around goofing off. They cleaned up after themselves, were very polite, took time to answer any questions, and addressed any concerns we had.

I did not end up using Doug's service, because I decided to do a wooden deck instead. However, if I would have gone concrete, I would have used Doug. His price beat the other contractor by more than a third.

Called for an estimate and Doug came right out. Walked me thru the job plan. On the selected date perform the job per our discussed plan. Kept me informed threw out the job as to it progress threw completeion.

Doug & Janette were amazing to work with all the way around. Start to finish, the professionalism & customer service was phenomenal.

Everyone was on time each day. Worked long hours from 7:30 am till about 7:30/8:00 pm. Every day men were friendly and concerned about trash pick up. Days were very hot ! The men were careful of neighborhood parking, noise and people watching. Even answered questions gracefully. Didn't charge for extra, even though he did by mistake. We added some longer sidewalk.

Had several estimates - not cheapest, but reasonable. Excellent work.

They showed up on time, and did an excellent job. They were cautious about not tearing up the lawn.

Doug with the company was on time. He went over and beyond what he said he would do. We are very pleased with the result.

They arrived on time in the afternoon and immediately began working on the driveway demo. 85% was removed and a load of gravel was dumped that afternoon. They returned the next morning removing the remaining existing concrete slab, rough spread the gravel and installed the forms and fine graded the gravel that morning. They poured and finished the 1st half around noon and the 2nd half around 3:00. It had been awhile since I've witnessed such professionalism. There was only 3 workmen doing this work but they acted like a 'well oiled machine' so they actually didn't need any more help as one would always seem to anticipate the other's need with very little conversation necessary. I truly found myself a little mesmerized at times watching the show. And if you don't mind my saying "the icing on the cake" was the concrete finishing work! I now have the most beautiful concrete driveway in the neighborhood! The finished tooling shines in the sun and the broom swirls appear to have been done with a machine. My driveway has been in place for over a week now but every morning I still look out my window at it with such pride seeing my new beautiful driveway and knowing how it was installed at such a reasonable price. If you've read this for then you know I'm a satified customer and completely sold on D & M Concrete. My experience with these people was about as good as it gets. Oh, I almost forgot to say that I have 34 years in the construction inspection business so I know of what I've said here. I obviously recommend this contractor.

They hired someone outside of their company for the concrete truck, and the hydralic system burst and sprayed hydraulic fluid everywhere (in my yard, the street, and on neighbors cars). I had to call the company to find out who they had hired for the concrete truck. When I contacted that company, they did come and and partially clean up the mess and offer coupons to the neighbors for washes for their cars. Other than the mess, I was happy. So far, the driveway looks great. I've had complements on the driveway and how it looks. There was a seem between where the new concrete stopped and where the end of the driveway began, and they never came back to fix this. I tried epoxy but it has already come out and did not hold properly.

We had careful and friendly discussion of the proposed job. They also gave me an estimate and the diagram in writing. They seemed knowledgeable. The rain delayed the job. The work was done in conjunction with the neighbor. The work was of excellent quality and they even protected my yard with plywood, when they got the machine for pouring in the backyard. They leveled the patio and made one edge of the patio as high as needed even though it was not anticipated to be so high. They also made use of rebar in their work.

They did a good and I was pleased with the outcome. I had a coupon which stated I could redeem 5% on my bill; unfortunately they never gave me the discount. When I asked them, I was advised that the discount was on a bill amount of above $1000, which was disappointing. I will use their services in future.
