It went fine until they were paid (in full) - then I couldn't get the owner (who was also the installer, along with a helper) to return to "fix" some things which I discovered after they left. They had removed 4 sets of closet doors and when they tried to hang them back again, had problems (I was here at the time). I let it go at the time because the owner had to leave to pick up his wife at the airport - and he said he would be back to adjust the doors @ a later time. After calling him 2-3 x's, he came back (I left key for him because I was working) to work on the doors & other things which I found: one of the toilets was not installed right: they only installed one of the anchor bolts on one side, and didn't cut the other one off. The toilet was (is) loose. There was a chip (edge) of one the tiles in the other bathroom that was very noticeable - he said he could "pop it out without a problem" and replace it (extra tiles left over). And the shower stall foundation needed to be caulked along the bottom - but the main thing which I needed done was the closet doors: they were hung perfectly straight before - and I wanted them back the same way - I didn't think that was too much to ask. But nothing was taken care of ! He called, saying he "got tied up on a big job" and he'd be back "later" (another day). I didn't hear from him for a week & I called his wife, asked her why I couldn't get Landon to finish the work? He called later & agreed to come back out, so I left the key again (I have a different way of doing this now - temp password in garage door opener) & he left a note for me that night, saying "Closet doors are good. Grout is good. Gonna have to get another set of bolts for toilet. I'll stop back by this week." (I still have the note). The work never got done ! I finally had to hire someone to rehang the closet doors, and did the other little things myself - except for the toilet - it's still unfinished, I can't do that. I learned a valuable lesson - never, never pay the contractor in full until ALL the work is done (give it 2-3 days to make sure if you have to) before paying him in full. The wood floors are beautiful, but I'm not sure someone else would've done as good a job - and FINISHED ALL the work. I know I was not a satisfied customer, and I would've been, if he'd fulfilled his promises.
Description of Work: I hired this company to install 600+ square feet of hardwood flooring in my living room, hall & 2 bedrooms, plus lay ceramic tile in 2 bathrooms and entry hall. They had previouly installed (one-piece) vinyl in my kitchen and I had no complaints (with that work).
