A-1 Concrete Leveling & Foundation Repair

Work was performed as scheduled. Concrete leveling was completed and the men did a very good job of cleaning up after. I was able to observe the concrete slab rising to be leveled off with surrounding stable slabs in the patio. As promised several days were given to allow for the concrete to dry and then men returned to install flexible polyurethane caulking to seal the concrete slabs control joints.

The crew came right at the appointment time and worked hard until the job was completed. They did nice work and were exceptionally nice to work with.

Work was performed quickly and in a very professional manner. Would definitely use again.

A-1 showed up on time, and stayed until the project was completed. After lifting the corners of the house and garage, they filled in the cracks in the mortar very nicely. They did forget to complete the mortar repair on the garage, but promptly came back and completed it after I gave them a call. Good group of guys, very professional.

They arrived on time, hooked up to the outside water supply and worked to level the corner of the driveway. After leveleling that section they cut out a 2 ft square section under my meter. They were polite, professional and cleaned up the driveway area after they were completed. Letting driveway settle and harden for 24 hours before I can use it again.

I appreciated their responsiveness. They did the work sooner than originally scheduled because the contacted me, wanting to do the work on a day when the weather was very favorable for the products the use. Both Ryan who did the estimate and the two men who did the work were knowledgable and willing to explain everything to me. I am very happy with the results. The final bill was actually a little under their estimate.

The repairmen showed up later than originally stated, but they did try to email me to let me know (but, I didn't have email access at that time). They were able to fairly quickly address all the areas that needed to be lifted. They do use some type of cement mixture to seal the holes they drill to pump in the lifting materials. However, they do not seal the cracks. That will be my responsibility to do properly, and if not, that will void the 2-year warranty.

It went very well. The company came out quickly to give us an estimate. When we hired them, they were at our house the next week to complete the job. The workers were respectful of our property and our neighbors. They explained everything they were going to do, and didn't mind me hanging around outside to watch. (One of them also had great tips for improving my tomato plants, which meant we had tomatoes well into November this year!) The process was fascinating to watch. They were very careful and since they knew they were working next to a basement area, they checked the interior basement wall several times to make sure they weren't doing any damage to our property. When they finished the job, they gave excellent instructions on how to caulk the patio against the house and between the plates to protect the newly level patio. They were at our house for about 5 hours total, were very personable, cleaned up afterwards and did a great job. We have already had them out for another estimate for our driveway and front walk. We'll definitely be hiring them again.

Front step and walk had fallen from chipmunks digging beneath the surface. This work had been done by A-1 Concrete about 4 years ago. Since work performed was no longer under warranty, I expected the cost to be higher. I was very glad to find out they charged me 50% of the original cost from 2009. The job was completed when they said it would be done and the area was neat and clean.

They did a great job. He did everything he said he'd do and everything has been working good since then.

The experience with A-1 Concrete Leveling & Foundation Repair was pretty good. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. They did what they said they would. I think it was a fair price but not cheap.

A1 responded quickly and their quote seemed complete. Other had a better price but I think there proposal would have been worth considering due to their experience. In the end I didn't hire anyone to do this job, deciding against it and repairing it myself.

They said what they could do - level the sidewalk - and they did what they said. Very professional, friendly, punctual. Did an excellent job and cleaned up afterward.

A1 provided us with an estimate and performed a job that another well rated Angie's List company said couldn't be done and they did a fabulous job. My only complaint was that they're so busy it took a while before they come perform the job.

My experience with them was very positive. They broke my basement wall while they were doing the chimney repair and that's how you find out what kind of company you have whenever things go wrong and I was really happy with how they rectified everything and made everything right. So, overall, it was a good experience. It really wasn't their fault, anyway, but they came forward and offered a plan to fix everything and they gave me a huge discount for what needed to be done. Basically, the chimney and the wall was aligned. The previous owners had done some cosmetic repairs on the walls downstairs, but there was no way to really tell there was a problem until after we straightened the chimney and then the wall cracked. But they could have easily charged me full cost to repair the wall, but they did it at their cost because it was something they didn't identify up front. It's easy to get someone, they come in and do the work, everything goes straight through. It's a fantastic review, thanks. But whenever something goes wrong, is when you really find out what kind of company you're dealing with.

My experience with them was good. It was a very difficult job and it took them three or four visits until they got it as good as possible.

I appreciated their honesty and professionalism in passing on the job and recommending a more cost effective solution, which they could not provide. I have used them in the past for other work many years ago an our previous home and at that time they did a very good job in leveling a small section of front stoop. I no longer have the cost of that service, but remember that they showed up as scheduled and completed the project quickly and efficiently.
