Kevin started the job on the day and time agreed upon. He arrived early on two successive days aided by two helpers. Kevin did all of the high and tricky work himself, using a lift when possible and climbing high up the trunk into the trees when necessary. The location of the trees, very close to the house and windows on one side and within inches of electric lines on the other, made this a very difficult job. Several other tree services declined the job because of its difficulty, and two other services bid $5,500 and $6,800. Kevin Alvey's skill and knowledge of the work were amazing to watch. He had to cut the trees apart as he climbed. Because of the obstructions and proximity to the house, he most often anchored large branches and sections of the trunk to the tree before cutting them and then lowered them to the ground carefully with ropes, with his assistants guiding the pieces through obstacles. As a result, there was not so much as a scratch to the roof or walls, and contact with electric wires was totally avoided. Kevin completed the job exactly as promised and cleaned up the work area perfectly on completion of the job.

Kevin and two other people showed up before 8:00am and got started right away. Kevin climbed the trees and cut the limbs as he went up and the trunk as he came back down. The two other people on the ground were cutting up the limbs and cleaning up. The job was done by noon. Great job , very pleased.

It went exceptionally well! I have worked with other tree services before, but no more. When I called Alvey's I got an actual person, usually you get voicemail. The gentleman and I worked out a time that he could come over to my house for an estimate. He was early, but thats better than being late! He gave me an estimate, he was very nice and listened to my concerns. He had a team come an hour later to do this "small job", I considered it a big tree, but to them it was a breeze. They set up their equipment in my drive and got to work. Every worker was well mannered, they were even kind enough to dispose of a garbage can full of sticks that had been sitting near my deck. When they left, I couldn't even tell they had been there! Clean up was excellent. Tree was gone, yard was nice and the cost was right on the estimate. Couldn't have asked for better. I have other tree issues around my house and I know who I am going to call.

Mr. Alvey was right on time for the estimate and the tree removal. He was courteous and professional. He did the job just as we had agreed upon. The two trees were extremely tall and tricky to get cut down. He was able to do both trees without too much difficulty. I definitely will consider using his services again if needed.
