We use him for many things. He does excellent work and we have used his services for the past 6 years.

The mini-remodel, tiling, and flooring work were the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. Roland was always on time, polite and worked steadly daily until the jobs were completed and cleaned up daily. He even assisted us with a little painting that was not included in his estimate. My wife and I agreed to take up approx. 550 ft of old carpeting and padding in prep of the new flooring to maybe save alittle, but we found out it would have been well worth the money that Roland had estimated to do it. It took us all weekend, and as a courtesy Roland stop by over the weekend to see how we were doing. Truly went out of his way. Both jobs were completed timely without any problems and great conservative use of material. If you ever watched Holmes on Homes on HGTV, Roland is "Holmes" in this area. We have no problems in highly recommending this contractor.

Roland did a SUPER job! He was able to get our work done all in one day and was very amenable to the work date as the the winter weather and our moving out of Terre Haute presented challenges. He explained what he was doing and gave me a great education in the process. I feel very lucky to have used his services and plan to contact him for other work ASAP.

Roland did an absolutely amazing job at a great price. He was prompt with his estimate and worked on our bathroom a total of 6 days. Roland offered us suggestions as to how to lay out the tile and what materials to purchase throughout the process. It was obvious that he knew his stuff. With his guidance, we chose to off-set the tile on the floor and in the shower with a decorative accent in the middle of the shower. All of this would have cost extra with another company but Roland just wanted to make sure it looked the best possible and did not add to the initial estimate. It was a pleasure to work with Roland. He even fixed grout in our kitchen that had been chipping out for years and plowed our driveway of snow at least twice at no charge (he has a snow plow on the front of his truck and offers this service as well as his handyman work). We have had a couple bad experiences with contractors since buying our home in 2008 but this experience could not have been better. I highly recommend Roland and plan to use his services again.

The project went very well. It was spread over several days, as we did not yet have all materials needed to complete all the projects. He even went to Menard's and picked up the special order storm doors when they came in. We are very pleased with the results. We have used this contractor before and will continue to use for handyman and remodeling projects in the future. His work is always excellent and his prices are very reasonable.

He came to install vynal tile in two bathrooms. When he ripped up the old flooring he discovered that he had another entire step to do to make it look right. He had no way of know this ahead of time. Because he is such a professional, in order to have a proper, satisfying looking end product, he just went ahead and took the extra day to do the project right. He went the extra step to paint trim. He did another repair job for us, but because he wansn't satisfied with the results, (it was much better than before) he didn't charge us. He even fixed and painted an access door to our bath tub, that I had not gotten around to, in order the make the bathroom look finished. These days you sometimes have to practically beg many repairmen to do the job right. Roland is the exceptional handyman who does the job right and then even goes the step beyond...without even being asked! Thanks Roland! We plan on using Roland again in the Spring for outdoor repairs. WE HAVE FOUND OUR HANDYMAN!!!

As indicated by all the reviews here, our experience with Roland has been excellent. Roland is professional, attentive to detail, pleasant to work with, prompt, and reliable. Sounds like an Eagle Scout ? because he basically is. He makes good suggestions based on his deep experience without being pushy. The tile work in the bathroom turned out particularly nice. There were some issues/possibilities that arose as we got into the project that led to new requests on our part but Roland took it all in stride. He works hard and is very productive. We felt safe giving him a key to the house. If he could not get us directly, he left good phone messages keeping us informed about the status of things and the next steps he was going to take. We also feel that Roland has priced things very fairly. We are already contemplating some additional projects. In sum, Roland takes the term ?handyman? to a whole new level. This was our first time to hire someone based on Angie?s List ratings and reviews and it has worked out very well. Roland is completely trustworthy. He remodeled our daughter's bathroom while she was out of the country. He did work for my husband and me when my husband was out of the country, as well. (Martha Goodwin)

A+ Roland of We Care Home Repair was great and reasonably priced! I had a window that was leaking from the top of the window frame. On the first day Roland put an ice dam shield around the window. He tested it and it looked like it was repaired. But then my husband ran water on the siding for about 5 minutes and it did leak again. Roland was coming out the next day to finish the plastering on the inside of the window so that morning I called him to let him know it was still leaking. He gave me no argument and came out ready to fix the leak. They took down more siding and found 2 holes in the foam board that lies underneath the siding. Roland said my husband was welcome to test it again. I told him he probably would which he did. The next day Roland called to see how it did. I was happy to report that the leak looked like it was fixed. Roland also repaired the plaster that was damaged by the water on the interior of the window. Roland is great at communicating with you during the job. He is very personable and professional. His quote was very reasonable. Another large company quoted me almost double what Roland charged.

I contacted Mr. Kaufman after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List, and because he's not a large national window company; in fact, he's located here Hancock County. He was very polite, honest, professional, and extremely easy to talk to - not pushy or 'salesman-y' in any way whatsoever, which I really appreciate! I have decided to delay the purchase of replacement windows until my home mortgage refinance is completed. Thanks, Roland!

Roland began the job on a Friday, but due to the nature of our repairs, he need to come back on Saturday. He arrived mid morning on Saturday and discovered the new toilet that we had bought was cracked, so he loaded it into his truck, returned it the the store were it had been purchased, and replaced it with a new one that he installed with no difficulties.

Wonderful! We will definitely use him again.

I called and spoke with Roland about an issue with my ceiling that we think is ice daming. He was very professional and upfront about the fact that there isn't much to be done right now with the weather so bad. He said he didn't want to waste my time and money..which I appreciate! He was excellently priced. He came out very quickly. He didn?t overcharge. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. It was in January and I admire him for getting on my roof in that cold of a month. I will absolutely hire him again.

I am really glad that I found We Care for this project. Some background: I began looking for someone to repair the damaged section of my screened porch over a year ago. I initially contacted 2 contractors (not this one) through Angie's List. One gave me an estimate of $1200 for this job. The other came out and assessed the damage, but never called back with an estimate. I found another contractor through a friend, and he also came out, assessed the damage, and never responded with an estimate. So, by this time, I was fairly frustrated with the project, and decided to "check the list" one more time. I found We Care Home Repair on the list, saw it had great ratings, and was located not far from my house. I contacted Roland at We Care; he came out the next day and gave me an estimate on the spot. I was pleased that I didn't have to wait for an estimate, and that the estimate of $325 to $350 was considerably less than the estimate I had received from another handyman. I authorized the work and Roland returned 2 days later to do the project. When he began the work, he found that the problem was much bigger than expected, but only charged me an extra $25 for the additional materials. I am very pleased with the results - that corner of the porch looks as good as new, as Roland made sure that everything matched and lined up with the existing structure. He also added some reinforcement to the corner of the structure. He primed and painted the new wood, and made sure to clean up the area at end of the project, including vacuuming up the sawdust. I am very pleased with this provider, with the price and the quality of his service. I highly recommend We Care for handyman projects like this.

In all cases the work was performed on time with excellent quality and at a fair price. Roland Kaufman is very versatile and honest. If he cant do it as well as someone else he will tell you and make recommendations. I have already had him back for a second time for more jobs and plan to use him for everything around the house.

Roland gave me an estimate of the cost and the time that it would take. He finished the last of the painting just as it started to rain. Some of the paint washed off because of the rain and he came back without me calling him to check the job and redid the area where the paint has washed off.

Better than expected. He did the work in under 30 minutes, and it would have taken me several hours. He was very professional and we will be sure to use his service again in the future. He came to fix the light, but he also helped out with a ceiling repair as well. I had worked on it before, and he fixed it to perfection. Wasn't expecting the extra service, and it was refreshing...

The service was/always is fantastic. I called because I had a lot of snow in the driveway of a home I am working on. He was fast, reliable and very personable. He does more than snow removal and I have used him for a deck construction which turned out beautiful. He is very good at what he does and is his rates are extremely fair. You won't be disappointed.

I figured with 12+ inches of snow I would not be able to get someone to respond. But Roland was great, very professional and personable, and came within an hour or so - even from Greenfield. He listened to what I wanted and made some recommendations where to best place the snow so we could get both cars out. I am very happy with the service he provided. I am in need of some future home repairs and will call him in the future.
