Same-day service. I found an online coupon for $99 clean out special which they honored. I wasn't charged a service fee. The man took his time, was very thorough, very friendly, and helpful. He explained everything and offered to have someone come out tomorrow and run a free diagnosis service with a camera to see if there would be a problem with anymore blockage. Very nice company.

The guy that came out, his name was Tommy. He's the one that fixed the furnace. We had another company come three times trying to fix that furnace this winter, and it was not fixed. He stood in front of the furnace for a few minutes and knew what was needed to fix it. He put it in and it has worked perfectly ever since. We had gotten something in the mail from Summers and we'd seen their trucks around. They have very nice looking trucks. He walked in, he listened, and he fixed it. You couldn't ask for any more. We use them for our furnace and for our air conditioning.

Our air conditioning went out this morning about 5 o'clock. I woke up very hot and I called summers. Before 9:30, they were out here in about 15 minutes. They also fixed our furnace this winter, and they are great for services. They charged us $49 for the furnace part the part was $166. Since they fixed the furnace in the winter and you're in our database, you'll be receiving a decent price for a service call. So, I guess they will charge us just $49 for a service call. The guy that came out, his name was Connie and he's the one that fixed the furnace. We had another company come three times and try to fix that furnace for us this winter. He walked in the backdoor, and stood in front of the furnace and said it needed whatever it was that it needed. He put it in, and it worked perfectly ever since. We were really unhappy with the other company. He walked in and fixed it. We couldn't ask for anything more. We've already used them twice. We used them for our furnace and for our air conditioner.

We have a service agreement with them. We like them and that's why we went ahead and got a service contract with them. They do the heating, cooling and the water heater. They come out 3 times a year. It's either $159 or $179 a year, somewhere in there.

We purchased a new Air Conditioning unit, lines, and coil from Summers Heating and Cooling in Anderson, Indiana in August of 2015. The unit came with a one year warranty, as well as a no-lemon policy. The unit has never worked properly, and within one month of purchasing the unit, we notified Summers of this. Some of the telltale signs we observed were that the unit was never able to cool our home to a desired temperature, often times leaving it warmer inside the house than outside. Throughout the year, we contacted Summers on more than 10 occasions to notify them that the unit was not working as desired or expected. Finally, on July 27, 2016, we noticed a loud humming noise coming from the unit, that could be heard from across the yard. We contacted Summers and they came out and informed us that the fan needed replaced. They informed us that they would need to order the part and that they would come out the next day. The following day, on July 28, 2016, the purchaser and home owner, went outside because the unit had gotten even louder. He noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the unit, as well as a large amount of black fluid spraying from the unit, and on the ground surrounding the unit. We again, contacted summers at 11am on 7/28/16 and informed them of the new development. They instructed us to turn off the unit. We did as instructed and they informed us they would be in touch to let us know when a serviceman could come out. At 1pm, we still had not seen a serviceman, so I called Summers to speak to a manager and voice my complaints/concerns. At 3pm we received a call from Kathy, who stated she was the Customer Service Supervisor. I informed Kathy of the issues we had experienced over the year, and insisted that Summers replace the unit. Kathy was very rude during the call and repeatedly kept saying that they would be "out later with the new part". I reinforced to Kathy that the entire unit was bad, and repeated to her what we had seen (smoke, black fluid, etc). Kathy informed me that they "can't just replace the unit" and that "someone would be out to look at it". I asked Kathy the estimated time that someone would be arriving at our home and she said she did not know. I asked her if she could call and find out, and she rudely informed me that she could not, and that her serviceman was on another house call and that she could not determine when he would be able to come out. I then restated what Kathy had said, that she had no clue when someone could come out and look at the unit, as it was 85 degrees outside. Kathy rudely and hastily repeated that she did not know and she could not check. Per our contract, it says we have a one year warranty, as well as a no lemon policy. In addition, written clearly on our contract, it says Summers will "resolve any issues in HOURS, not DAYS." Clearly, we have been sold a bad unit, and have had no resolution. In addition, Summers had breached their contract by not providing us an air conditioner that worked, by not being timely in their customer service, and by not replacing the unit that is clearly a lemon and still well under warranty. As a result of this, we have missed days of work, been severely inconvenienced, not been comfortable in our home d/t the elevated temperature, and have suffered with asthma exacerbations as 3 members of the household have severe asthma, and have difficulty breathing in hot, humid conditions.

Description of Work: They did my spring service on my a/c. The cost includes a fall service on furnaces. They also do a complete walk through of the house and check every plumbing fixture inside and out, which is included in that $300. | |I also had them replace a water heater with a tank less water heater on their first visit to my home. It could have gone better. A few issues with smoking from the furnace. It was a mfg. problem and not the fault of Summers. They followed up every week for a month to figure out and clear up the problem. Their work was well done and installation went quickly. Everyone was very professional and even went above and beyond to fix some things that they found done poorly by other contractors that had nothing to do with the furnace. Really terrific folks and the office staff were just as helpful and friendly. The guys even sat with me when everything was done and explained to me how to fill out the multiple warranties and file for rebates. I wouldn't have known where to begin if left on my own like most contractors do. All-in-all a good experience.

The man was pleasant and I think the work he did was ok. I am not happy that he didn't fix the icemaker. He told my husband a part was stripped and what part to get. Of course, we can't find the part. The store sold us a different kind of filter that may or may not work. That is the exact same thing that happened with a different plumber when I wanted a shut off valve installed on the icemaker in the house. I had to call him back to install the valve because I couldn't keep it from leaking. I think the pricing is horrible but if people tell me it's reasonable, I could change my mind. There was an 89.00 trip charge (we knew this) and the address of the business is within a mile or two. Installing the faucet that I supplied was 228.00 Installing and supplying the hoses and faucets in laundry room was 328.00. They did direct us to a coupon on the internet that saved us $50.00 so out total was $595.00. They tried to sell a service plan...if we bought the plan, our cost would be lowered but to me that means guaranteed spending not saving...I'm not a fan of those. If I had done business with them for a while and really trusted them, I might consider something like that. I have a few problems with this.... 1) I think the cost is high 2) If I wanted to fix the icemaker myself I wouldn't have called a plumber. I think many people in America have icemakers and would think plumbers should have parts to take care of them. 3) Don't offer me a service plan when you just charged me a ton and didn't complete all I asked for. I don't think these things were the fault of the individual plumber and if he had his own business at reasonable cost (and fixed my icemaker), I would have been happy.

The sales part was a bit catchy. I was originally quoted a much higher rate, but after sharing a similar product and installation at a lower price, the gentleman from Summers called back and offer us a price with in $100 of the other quote and quicker service. Installation was okay. The installers did not check to ensure the floor drain in our basement worked (it didn't) and created a large puddle in the basement, since our basement is not finished, it was not a big deal, but a little messy. A few hours after installation I turned on our bathroom sink and heard a loud "pop" from the basement. One of the welds on the piping had burst. Fortunately, my husband was able to turn off the water, to keep from flooding the basement. It took them a few hours before they were available to come out and fix the problem.

There is a lack of communication between the home office and the people doing the job. Twice I was told home office that the work was to be done a certain date but the work was completed on a later date. I called the home office and was told that the work had been completed on the morning of Jan 26, 2014 and was told it was done and I could turn on the water but the job was not completed until Jan 27, 2014.|There is a lack of communation between the home office and the job sites.

Office warned of $89 charge for "diagnosis" of problem. Repairman arrived within 15 minutes of call. His first priority was to make me aware of annual maintenance contract, which would lessen charges for today's service by about $17. Second repairman arrived to help find water shutoff to house and replace one faucet. Two faucets and hoses for washing machine were replaced. Also replaced insides of Delta bathtub faucet.

They only had to replace the outside air conditioner. They only provided me with an invoice that did not include and itemized bill. When it went through my insurance company and adjuster he told me that I had been grossly overcharged. I then received estimates from other companies for the work and they also thought without looking at it that it would cost around $2,500. I contacted Summers and they admitted that they had made a mistake and overcharged us. They did refund us some of the money but I still feel that they charged too much. I could not rationalize it. I will no longer do business with them.
