Dr. Tree and Landscape Specialist, Inc.

The work was done on April 25. We were waiting for the bill to send in a payment. We received a letter postmarked April 27 from a lawyer claiming we were delinquent in payment and we would be sued. I would never hire this guy again. Be careful, because the above experience is an indication that the guy is not operating honestly.

I called 3 tree professionals for estimates and was surprised at the value Doctor Tree provided compared to their competitors. They left an estimate and said they had an opening the next day. They showed up exactly on time and went to work. They cleaned up extremely well and were a nice bunch of guys. I will definitely hire them again. I have more tree work for them. He even owns a nursery and offered to replant some trees for me.

Great!!! John was responsive. He and his crew were courteous and professional. I can't believe how quickly they were able to do so much! It was a mature tree and was dead from the Emerald Ash Borer. I was becoming increasingly worried that it was going to fall on our house because it was so close! John gave us a very reasonable price to cut down and remove the tree. They even hauled away all of the debris including what was lying around the base of the tree. They ground the stump too. My lawn and house looks so much better without a dead tree blocking it. Plus now i can sleep at night without worrying about it falling on us! He even gave us a quote for some landscaping while he was there.

John was very responsive throughout the whole process. He came out to my house for an estimate by the next working day after my initial phone call. The job was done promptly at a fair price and they cleaned up after themselves. I couldn't be happier with the work performed and the service I received. I would highly recommend this company and their services!

In a word Super! We were very pleased. Dr. Tree was on time, efficient, pleasant to work with, safety conscious, very competent and did the job exactly as agreed ... and all at a terrific price! I am generally a tough grader believing that 'A's' ought to mean something ... and that quite a few companies are just average (not really bad - just not standing out). Knowing that about me, I'd give Dr. Tree an A (A+ if I could).

They never came out to provide me with an estimate, never heard back from them therefor I contacted someone else who provided prompt service.

Fantastic! The company was responsive and pleasant to work with. They provided a quote and stuck to it. Our yard was simply transformed--and they did it in ONE DAY! We intend to use Doctor Tree for regular maintenance, based on this experience.

The crew arrived early and quickly went to work on the tree. They were very professional and courteous. The work was completed promptly and the crew completely cleaned up and removed all debris. I will use their services for future work.

It was a sycamore tree that is slowly dying. It came down a little bit. He took off about 25 ft. He did a beautiful job and cleaned up after himself. When the workers were cleaning up the ropes they used they took time to wrap the ropes up nicely and they have two people for safety. I will have him come back in February.

They are old world where your word and handshake mean everything. They did an excellent job. I kept shaking his hand because you don’t find too many people like that anymore.

The initial work described in 1) above was entirely completed in 1 day. John Petros planned the job well and had all equipment and materials needed to get the work done; he brought a full crew to get the job completed as quickly as possible. The crew worked quickly and professionally, and barely even stopped for lunch. They recycled my retaining wall bricks left from the landscaping they tore out and used them to contain and support my rock bed previously being supported by the old wood benches. John and his crew are very meticulous and if something didn't look right, John caught it right away and had it redone. I was so happy with the job they did that I added some additional work to the project, which I described in 2) above. And, again, they worked diligently and had the work completed in just a few hours and it involved carrying a lot of rock! While I did not remember to take "before" pictures, I do have some "after" pictures but cannot find the option of getting them loaded as part of this review.

We had one large tree trimmed and ten stumps removed for the price quoted. John and his team quoted the price and performed the job all within the same day. They did an excellent job removing the stumps and trimming the tree. Very professional and cleaned up everything after the job was complete. Can't even tell we had bushes removed. Would definitely use this company again!

Everything arrived on time; the plants, mulch, topsoil, the machines and multiple workers who went to work, finished the entire program the same day and left the area clean and BEAUTIFUL---Like a woodland park!!!

John from Doctor Tree and Landscape was very responsive when I called about removing a large tree which was located next to my house. He arrived within a few hours to give me an estimate . This tree had limbs on one side only, as the limbs on the opposite side had been cut off by IPL over the years due to the proximity to power lines. The tree had become out of balance with the remaining limbs hanging over my roof. John and his crew arrived promptly at the time agreed upon and removed the large tree. This was a difficult tree to remove due to its closeness to my house and the condition of the tree. They also removed a number of limbs from three other large trees. They were very professional and efficient and left my yard clean and free of debris. I will definitely call this company again for future tree services.

The company did major bush trimming, fence row cleanig. Removed all debris and sprayed the fence line. Also cut down and removed a large limb from a maple tree.

went well. had to do some chasing to get calls returned in a timely manner but guaranteed his work and when two shrubs died they replaced within a week. had them put mulch down but not as good of a job didn't feel like I got my moneys worth. all in all they are a good company and stand behind their work.

The Petro brothers and their assistant made this spring-time cleanup easy to handle. From day one when they stopped to provide an estimate and then later came by with a certificate of liability insurance, to T-Day when the rains held off and the hive of bees in an old squirrel nest decided it was too cold to get mad and swarm, everything went well. 2 trees were trimmed, dead limbs were chipped, our new septic system "scar" was leveled and seeded and everything cleaned up to look like nothing had happened that morning. And nothing fell on the house. Great job done quickly and efficiently.

Excellent service from start to finish.

I would recommend them to a family member or friend. They were excellent. The price was more than fair.

It worked out very well. I would be having them back to do my back yard. I wanted them to do the job in a couple of phases.

We has an issue sucessfully resolved. We had problems contacting them after the job for some follow-up that needed to be done. We later found out this was due to a move and they did not receive the letter we sent. Thanks to Angie's List for helping clear this up.

John was prompt when coming by to give the estimate. He quoted a fair price and showed up promptly to do the work. When I got home, everything was so clean you couldn't tell that someone had been there doing work. On a previous occasion, he cut down 4 small hybrid poplar trees and ground out stumps. When the invasive root system showed signs of coming back, John removed them when he came back to do the trimming. This is something that another provider refused to do in another instance. It's nice to find people that still stand behind their work.

The interaction was just okay. They did a pretty good job on the trees but I wouldn't hire them again for landscaping.
