CUSTOM WOOD FENCING

Was a great experience. Very professional, completed work in 2 days, better than what I had envisioned. Great communication

Lots of delays getting started and lots of excuses. Some issues came up after installation and it was impossible to get a return phone call for months on end with many more personal excuses. There are places where the fence is nearly 6" off the ground which would be a huge problem if we had a small dog. The gates look very rustic and cheap. We received a 2% discount at the end but that won't come close to actually fixing the issues. Would not recommend to my neighbors.

I had some initial difficulty reaching the provider, but after leaving a couple of messages, we were able to talk and he agreed to come out and do an estimate that day. He was there within an hour and we had the opportunity to chat in person before I left about my areas of concern on the fence. He was very courteous and knowledgeable when we spoke. He was going to email an estimate to me, but as of today, I have never received the estimate. I did leave a couple of follow up messages, but have received no return calls or email.

John came out quickly to give us a free estimate and was able to work us into his schedule very quickly, as we were in a bind with a vendor who we had to cancel and due to a pool being installed needed a fence quickly for safety reasons. John's pricing was very fair and he uses quality supplies. He was very easy to work with and our fence is beautiful. I'd highly recommend his work.

The job went extremely well. John Gannon (the owner) and his crew did an excellent job in a timely fashion. They cleaned up after themselves and were even careful to not damage the flowers that we had planted directly in front of the porch.

I have wooden privacy fence where a post between two of the privacy panels was leaning very badly. Because of the age of the fence, I thought the fence posted had rotted causing the outward lean. After contacting John by phone, he came out within about three (3) days to give me an estimate. I had previously told him that I wanted to get a couple more estimates and he perfectly understood that. After trying to get other estimates from about 8 or 9 other businesses listed on Angie’s List, only one other business would come out. John’s estimate easily beat the other company, so I elected John's company. John had two men come out. They worked very fast, removing two privacy panels, the bad cedar post, removing the old concrete, placing the new cedar post with new concrete, and reattached the privacy panels. These workers were very professional even cleaning up all materials as if they were never there. This if the best company I have used from Angie’s List and I would encourage everyone to use this company!

Custom Wood Fencing had installed my back wood deck, as well as a wood deck that I had around my above ground pool, several years prior. After replacing my above-ground pool with an in-ground pool, I wanted modifications made to my back deck so that it would allow access to my new pool and look like the old part of the deck and the new part were not two separate pieces. John Gannon, the owner, made suggestions and his workers were able to integrate the changes as to make the entire deck as it were built all at one time. It also flows well my concrete pool deck. I would definitely recommend john Gannon and Custom Wood Fencing. Not only does his company do great work, but John has also has made great suggestions and given ideas that we had never thought of.

Contacted Custom Wood Fencing and Decks after an extensive Google search. I was impressed with the portfolio of work displayed on his website. We were just moving to Indianapolis and were waiting to close on our new house. We tried contacting a couple people that were recommended by our real estate agent as well as a couple companies we found on Google. John was rather quick to get back to us and quick to come out so we figured we'd give him a try. John came out within a day or so, took measurements, and we had a quote in hand within a couple days of him measuring. John was a very personable guy and very professional. He even talked us out of a higher-dollar cedar fence that my wife wanted - stating that he'd do whatever we wanted, but he thought that cedar was overkill for the neighborhood we lived in and that we might not get the return on investment.... spend that extra money on something else. I appreciated that and he had my vote. We scheduled the work and John came out as scheduled and set posts on day one, then came back a couple days later as scheduled to set up the rails and panels. They worked fast and their work quality was top notch. Compared to the fence that I had at my previous house, which was the exact same style, John's work was a higher grade. He used 6x6 posts and sunk them deep into the ground, making the posts immune to any effects of erosion and/or wind. I was thoroughly please with John's work. Strangely enough, my wife found him a little irritating in her dealings with him because John likes to talk... a lot... and would rather call than send emails back and forth.... but for me.. he was the man. He likes to talk, but he's a very energetic guy and very customer friendly... I'll take that any day.

Mr. John Gannon was excellent to work with and offered wonderful advice and suggestions. HIs crew did a great job and they were very professional and respectful. We are extremely pleased with the results.

We got an estimate which, to begin with, was very reasonable compared to other quotes. He did exactly what he said he would do, plus some more. The negotiated price was firm, and we had absolutely no surprises. Would highly recommend this company.

They installed the fence well w/in the time constraints. They were very courteous and professional. My father asked me afterward how many of the posts they had cemented in and when I told him all of them were in concrete he was very impressed. I didn't know otherwise before that and am glad they do quality work to begin with. They threw in an extra gate when the price was at my limit and I said to just skip it. Mr. Gannon said that I needed another gate on the other side of the house and just added it!

We did not end up going with John and crew for the job, but sometimes wish we had. John was very helpful during the sales/estimate process and even went to the Town of McCordsville offices to find out permitting requirements and ordinances for us. Very helpful. His bid was a bit more than the competing bid, but I sincerely believe the finished job would have been higher quality and craftsmanship also.

John and his crew were very prompt and professional. He always returned my call on time and was flexible to my schedule. The job exceeded my expectations they do excellent work and add all the details that really stand out. They never left the job site a mess every day everything was picked up and organized. I would definitely use them again.

John Gannon and his team completed the work in less then 2 days. John took the payment only after the work was completed and after we were fully satisfied. I am very happy with his approach and his work.
