Armor Roofing

It took them a few days to get the right guy there, but the repair was done right.

Dealing with Armor Roofing was a disorganized mess and the work still isn't complete after 2 months! I am beyond frustrated and think that I have been extremely patient. Armor came recommended by a family member. I had them come out for a roof inspection and gutter repair in early May. They were quick to come do their inspection and quoted the work that same day. A week later I let them know i wanted to go with them. They said it would be a week to a week and a half for them to come do a roof replacement because they operate first come first served. They said they would call before any materials were delivered to my home - I never received this call. Two pallets of materials just were dropped off in my driveway one day where they sat for 3 weeks. They said they would call the day before a crew arrived so I could plan accordingly - I never received this call. A crew just showed up one morning knocking on my door at 6:52 am telling me I needed to move my car before a dumpster arrived. A few minutes later they told me their boss told them they weren't doing my house that day and left. After another week went by, I had to call Armor to get an update, was quoted Thursday, which didn't happen. I then followed up again over the weekend and was assured Monday was the day. Had I not initiated the contact, I'm not sure I ever would have gotten a call. My contact was apologetic and told me that someone else in the company made the decision to move me back in the queue and that they were down to one roofing crew. However, they didn't delay cashing my 50% deposit several weeks earlier. I know it is difficult to know where all the nails go from a roofing job, but so many were left in my yard and driveway that I ended up having to invest in a magnet to clean up the yard and have found more than 60 nails so far (21 in my driveway!) Once the roof was done, the salesperson stopped by the next day to check in and I paid immediately. I was then told that a separate individual would be doing my gutters and would be by at the end of the week or early the following week. The specialist stopped by to do their inspection and said they would be back the following Tuesday if Mother Nature cooperated. That was a month ago. Again, I initiated the contact to see where things stood 2 weeks after and was told I was still on the docket. 3 weeks have now passed since that message and the work has yet to be done. I followed up with Armor and was told that this individuual "might have forgotten about me" and that they would make sure I was taken care of. After two months, the gutter has gotten progressively worse and now I have water coming inside my house. I wish I never would have selected Armor. Really nice guys, but terrible communication and follow through, ultimately leading to a terrible customer experience! I just want this to be over with!

I had immediate contact with Dave True who came out quickly to inspect my roof. Dave was accurate and professional and worked with me to make sure everything g was done to my satisfaction. Communication was excellent and I would always receive an answer or a quick call back whenever I called. The roofing crew was friendly and polite and got the job done quickly as was the gutter crew. Dave was very thou rough in explaining the insurance adjustment, any out of pocket I may need to pay, and was very careful as he checked the numbers. The work was done quickly and I'm I'm very pleased with the results. Would heartily recommend these guys! would definitely use them again!

Mark was in charge of the project, and did some of the work. He is very friendly and professional. His roofing crew did a great job and didn't leave a mess when they left. We got the new roof because of a hail storm. Insurance covered the roof and gutters, which is why I didn't put a score on pricing. The reason I chose Armor (after receiving 3 estimates) is because of the 3, Armor was the most honest with me. To illustrate, i showed each of the estimators my ceiling damage from water leaks, which had happened because the roof was old, long before the hail storm. I told them I wanted a separate quote for *that* work, and that it should not be included with the insurance submission. The other 2 estimators said something like "oh, we'll just add that in to the insurance quote, and nobody will know." Mark (with Armor) on the other hand, beat me to the punch, telling me that he couldn't submit that water damage to insurance if it wasn't caused by the hail event. I felt I could trust Mark and Armor to be fair with *me* since they were being fair to the insurance company. If the other two would lie and cheat the insurance company, I felt they would do it with me. The new roof and gutters look great, and the other work Mark did was superb as well. I would do business with Armor again, except that we moved out of state.
