custom cabinets, woodworking
 + 0 moreIt went excellent, very nice people, on time, courteous, kind, and hard working. Even gave me a reasonable price on other projects I needed done around the guest house. This house was built around 1988.
Description of Work: Carpentry work: Framed the door and hung them, baseboards, put up doors for cabinet, hung a cabinet and microwave. Put up paneling, trimmed exposed door corners, built door jams, and installed a dryer vent.

 + 6 moreChris did an outstanding job on our remodeling work. We asked Chris to do some major work on the upstairs dormer and not having some idea on how he was going to handle it, let him go to complete the job. He informed us of the problems he incountered as he proceded in the remodeling and over came them. Chris has a great attitude and is very concerned about doing a good job for you. I would and will ask him to do more for me in the future. Good Job.
Description of Work: We expanded our upstairs dormer, added a bathroom and we also remodeled a bathroom in the lower part of the house. We told Chris what we wanted and he did an excellent job over coming some major problems.

remodeling, replacement windows
 + 0 moreFrom start to finish the experience was positive.
Description of Work: I'm in the process of renovating a 1920's farmhouse and found that rather than do all the work myself, I'd get some estimates to see if I could hire someone to help move along the renovation. Monroe Home and Design is a small operation with an attention to detail. Once I was finally ready to have the work done it took me a couple of weeks to schedule the work and it was done over the period of a couple weeks. In all, they replaced 4 exterior doors (and maintained the original look of the exterior), and added a screen door. They were able to reuse one screen door which saved me some money! In addition, they dug out the window wells and replaced them with new metal wells as well as replaced 4 basement windows with new hoppers. They framed and poured a 14" x 11' (roughly) 4 inch think concrete foundation pad and put in a sump pump pit. I also had them cut the old concrete floor to fix a drain that was no longer working. Overall, I'd say the work was well done and the price was very fair.
