Baker's Body Shop

My wife drove the car that same day one mile to work and one mile home. The next day I went to change the oil and I saw a brand new piece of corrugated plastic wire protection tubing. It stood out because it was brand new. It was wired from the wiper motor to the cooling fan. So the fan came on when the ignition was on. I opened the radiator cap and the coolant was low. I added coolant and started the engine. The coolant immediately poured out and had a very large amount of bubbles and foam in it. I replaced the cap and there was a large amount of bubbles in the coolant reservoir. I bought a test kit to verify there was exhaust in the coolant and it tested positive I spoke to Larry Baker the owner the very same day. Less than 24 hours of purchasing the vehicle. He stated that I had done something to the vehicle. All I wanted was the truck back. He stated that he had to have 200 more dollars for the truck and the car back. We had no choice. We had to have a vehicle. He told us to come back two days later. When we returned to his business which is now located at 1285 Jackson St in Greencastle Indiana, he stated that he had to have 240 dollars and the car back. For a total of 640 dollars. He was extremely rude he sold us a car that he said was in good working order when it had major mechanical issues. We are out of 640 dollars. We are a struggling family who works very hard and to be ripped off by a business man in our own community is just awful. This man bought a car and found it had a serious problem. Instead of him taking the loss he chose to rip off a struggling family who desperately needed another good running vehicle.

From the moment I walked in the door I knew I had selected the right person to bring my car back to its original showroom look. Larry is a friendly and professional individual . Larry asked questions to make sure he understood the extent of the damage and took several pictures. He ordered the parts immediately and the entire job was done very quickly. I came in late on Wednesday afternoon and Larry called to let me know the job was complete on friday. That included waiting for parts, painting the bumper cover and polishing it to a brilliant shine. Larry was recommended to me by a young man I was waited on at a local eatery and I'm very glad I chose to take my car to Baker's Body Shop. I have an older Subaru with a small spot of rust that I hope to have Larry paint later this summer. Thank you Larry for an Excellent Customer Service Experience !
