BUYER BEWARE a 1-star rating is too good. In short, this guy is a real piece of work. Don't be deceived by his quiet demeanor and his statement that he personally follows through with all his jobs from start to finish. Had a portion of my entrance and exit lane that needed to be fixed. His project quote $12,000.00. Gave Him 1/2 down of which I figured he spent $3,000.00 of it on the job and I'm being generous with that. With the 1/2 down deposit had a company come out and remove roughly 1,500 square feet of concrete he personally spent a half day saw cutting and then was history. Promise after promise unfulfilled no shows and lies the icing on the cake is when he came 3 hours late to pump water out of the hole, he created in a brand new bright green gym outfit with brand new white tennis shoes. I knew where my down payment money went. AFTER DOING SOME DEEPER DIGGING I FOUND HE DONE THIS SIMILIAR TYPE OF THING IN THE PAST. Wish I would have dug further before hiring this guy paid roughly $3,000.00 to learn this lesson. Needless to say, he never showed up to finish the job. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Anthony M

The workmen had the old patio out and a new patio poured in one day. The next day two men came out to cut the concrete and then they were done. The new patio is beautiful and we have been enjoying the outdoor space ever since the work was completed. The workers were fast, professional and did an excellent job. I would recommend this company.

Melvin is punctual, professional and fast. He did a great job pouring my master suite and front and back patios. I will definitely hire him again!

It went very well and like the outcome, somewhat a little more trimming around the strip could have made it a little nicer, but still a great job!

Horrible, in few months started cracking, having lots of pop out holes , chipping in many areas, always have black tire marks . It is not even a year old and needs to be replaced already. Initially he said he will fix it but was winter already then he basically refused. I am taking him to court. It was the most costly and horrible remodeling job I ever had. I attached photos of some of the cracks and the pop out holes with the tires marks, there are more cracks and more holes . This driveway was done end of Sept. 2017. I am putting this review so no one will have to go through what I have been through. Thanks

I never had the work done

It was somewhat of a hassle in communication to get the company to set a date. Once it was completed to our surprise in less than a month cracks started appearing. Now two years out and we have massive pitches in the cement all over. It will need to be replaced again. Cement should last longer than two years. The sidewalk too has major cracks in less than two months.

There were very patient with me as we had a lot of other work done on the house and didn't want the driveway until everything else was completed. Once I told them OK, they were here the next week. Total job took only three days(big driveway). Their work was excellent. The concrete is beautiful. Price was in middle of 4 estimates. I would use them again and recommend them to all.

I got an estimate in early spring to replace a large 3 bay garage driveway. They gave me a fair price then a couple of days later took me around to see several driveways they poured in the past. I was sold and told Marvin I would like for them to put me on their schedule. He said he would, but seemed very distracted and busy at the time. I called a couple of days later just to make sure he knew who I was and what my address was, he said "yes, I got you". More than a month passed and I had heard nothing so I called again, Marvin said they were trying to wait until they had a couple of projects in the area before they started. Probably another 6 weeks passed with no word so once again I called and this time I got voicemail, I left a message telling who I was and asked him to call me back. No return call. I made the same call a day later and left a message again, and once again no return call. Received estimate on Saturday and work was started on Monday and completed by Thursday, All work was professionally done and clean up was very good. Planning on them to do more work for us in the future. We are very pleased and the results exceeded our expectations.

They were great. It was absolutely beautiful and they cleaned everything up. Their price is better than the other several quotes that we had.

Never showed for agreed upon appt., did not call to cancel, & did not return my message for reason of non-show. I will not call a second time.

It went well. We are very happy with the results.

I had planned on having both a roof replacement (S.L. Construction) and concrete work (D&M Concrete) done simultaneously. Melvin with D&M concrete gave me an estimate for concrete work and stamping. Melvin was very responsive and took the time to explain his process and gave me a very reasonable estimate. I would have used D&M concrete but unfortunately the roof replacement fell through due to lack of responsiveness from S.L. Construction. S.L. Construction gave me an estimate for a roof and gutter replacement. I needed clarification on items that were not spelled out on the estimate. I could not get a call back to finalize the roof and gutter job to be done by S.L. Construction. I came to the conclusion, if I could not get S.L. Construction to call me back when I was trying to give them work, I would have one heck of a time getting a call back if there was a problem after the job was finished. I did not want to have my concrete done until my roof and gutters were replaced so I did not have work done by D&M Concrete (Melvin). So, in a nut shell, I would recommend Melvin with D&M Concrete due to his professionalism, responsiveness, and competitive estimate. I would not recommend S.L. Construction.

i did not use him. I used Reasoner Concrete. he did it within a week.

They removed part of the existing concrete patio that was 12 1/2 feet by 12 feet. Then extended the patio to measure 12 1/2 feet by 16 feet. They put down pea gravel where appropriate, then rebar and poured 4" thick new concrete patio. They also graded the new patio so water would flow away from our house. Next step was stamping the stained patio to look like natural stone. The next day they came back to power wash the concrete patio but when Melvin Schmucker, one of the owners and my contact during this whole process, returned the next day to seal the concrete he said it needed power washed again before it could be sealed. So things were delayed a few days but the end product is beautiful. We had gotten 2 other estimates on this job but Melvin Schmucker was the only one to follow back up with me. He also gave me a discount as he was doing another job in my neighborhood. The only negative is they did not do a good job cleaning up the job site when done but that was only a minor issue. Melvin was friendly, professional, managed his crew well, and was hard working and fast. I will definitely use them in the future and have already recommended this company to two of my neighbors.

They did a great job on our stamped concrete patio. The very night we called to inquire about a new patio Marvin invited us to come to his home to see a sample of their work. He was very knowledgeable in answering all of our questions and it was obvious he really knew this business well. His estimate was right on target with the final price, and was definitely reasonable rates. The work was completely done within two days and all members of the crew were very professional. Our new patio is not only beautiful, it also was made with exceptional quality. It is a wonderful addition to our backyard, which we will enjoy for many many years. Melvin and his crew were professional, courteous workers. They were on time and did an awesome job. Our stamped patio looks great and their estimate was way cheaper than everyone else that we had come out. We have recommended them to many of our friends and they have done work for them as well. Everyone has been very pleased with their work.I would definitely hire them again.
