Indiana Leak Detection

Mike Dzuba did an excellent job of finding the service line in our condo and the spot where there was a leak in the line. Plumbers came the next day and were able to break up the slab where he indicated and the leak was found and corrected.

X does not mark the spot.... the plumbing company, Bedell, had to jack hammer 2 holes in the slab. First one was where Indiana leak detection identified which was off by about 5'. It was in the correct room at least but did cause more flooring damage and holes in the slab with identify the leak in a slightly different location.

My sump pump "backed up" during a recent heavy downpour flooding a portion of my basement. Kevin S. of Johnson Comfort came out promptly as scheduled and evaluated the problem.We agreed to try an experiment with the system to confirm that the pump's outlet pipe was, indeed, plugged. I ran the experiment and it confirmed that the problem was caused by a blockage somewhere in the line. Because the situation involved the pump outlet rather than a sewer drain issue it was necessary to determine the nature of the hidden pipe beyond the initial 2" PVC pipe connected to the pump so we agreed to have me run the pump again to see if it emptied the sump. It did not. I called Kevin early the next day and told him that I'd be home after noon and that I needed some help because the water was rising in the sump again. Mike D.,an Indiana Leak technician, called soon after noon and he was at my door less than 15 moinutes later. In less than an hour he had located the point of the beginning of the blockage. He then went out ad dug down to the line where the blockage was indicated by his equipment. He was able to determine that there are two lines there. The lines are both corrugated plastic drain lines with the lower of the two the sump discharge so that I can now arrange to expose that pipe to effect repairs. The entire episode while Indiana Leak Detection team was here was easy and comfortable for me and the technicians were as knowledgeable and as friendly as though we'd been neighbors and friends for years.
