This work was done in 2001. At that time I wasn't an Angie's List member... so I am writing this review now. My experience with Deno Decorating in Lafayette, IN was complete disaster and failure. I ended up asking them to leave mid-job. The house was a mess, they cut-off the bottom of multiple doorframes, cigarette butts all over outside, splashed grout mix on my brick house! The work was (and still is) really bad (what they did before I kicked them out). There is a design in the foyer tile (that they suggested... it seemed like a good idea at the time). Well, it is a disaster (STILL). The design isn't centered, they put in a METAL strip that (STILL) stick up (like, cut your feet type thing). The designer came to look at it (I don't remember her name), she said, IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH! And, she and Deno refused to fix (they would have had to pull it all out and re-do it). I threw a fit. Then, the tile in the one bathroom floor they tiled has (STILL) such variable spacing, it's a joke. When I complained, the designer told be to go to Italy...` that is the way tile is supposed to be!' Believe me, I've been to Italy... not even close! They never got to the other two bathrooms (I kicked them out). So, you ask... how did this story end? Well, I contacted the owners (in Fowler)... I asked one of them (husband/wife team) to please come look at the quality of the work. They refused, they said they trusted their designer's judgment. I refused to pay them for anything more than the tile and grout (that I had in my house). They were terrible. Unbelievable, actually... in the end, they agreed to not have me pay for the labor! AND, they made me sign a letter (that they provided) saying they were not responsible for the "vertical integrity" of the floor/work they provided. REALLY? What does that even mean? To this day, I have a DISASTER design in my foyer that I cover up with a BIG rug. I show it to people (which I told the Deno's I would do if they didn't make good on their work), and tell them that Deno Decorating in Lafayette, IN is the worst business I have dealt with anywhere in the United States (I've lived in five states)! Please... don't use Deno Decorating... and tell your friends the same.

Horrible job! There's bumps & dips in the new tile floor. I called the owner, Rick Deno, to come out and look at the job. Instead I was cussed & yelled at. Stay far away from these people.
Description of Work: Installed a new vinyl tile floor.
