Terry has been performing the most challenging installations, for the most demanding clients, over 40 years with passion for perfection. Any tile, stone, or "solid surface" installation or removal. Service of existing masonry and "solid" surfaces, caulking, cleaning, re-grouting, restoration, sealing, waterproofing, and repair. Service of all aspects of "wet" areas including the capturing of all water released inside a home, to prevent structural and mold damage.

The end product looks very nice. I believe that Terry takes pride in his craftsmanship and finished products. However, it is quite difficult to coordinate with him. We were never sure when he was coming, what was being installed, was he coordinating with the Plumber etc. It made for a very frustrating experience, and undoubtedly lengthened the time we were out of shower waiting for him to finish.
Description of Work: Removed old tile and installed new tile in our bathtub/shower.

I only got an estimate from Terry. He, along with two other companies, were convinced that my entire shower base had to be replaced, along with three or four rows of tile in our stand-up shower. A plumber recommended Terry, and the plumber was the first to say the entire floor needed to be replaced, while there was a different contractor who said we could simply replace the strainer. We decided to go with the company that would simply replace the strainer and some piping without tearing up and replacing tile.

This report is not on my services! I believe this report should not be displayed with ratings from actual customers. Many times damage from leaks are hidden, or unnoticed. My recommendations are FREE. They are based upon forty plus years of wet walls and floors experience. I believe Angie's list is negligent in allowing this report to be included with customer's reports. I hope this prospective customer's shower is working correctly today and hasn't needed further attention. My services offered to this client were once removed from the strainer/base problem, such as adjacent areas that would need to be removed and replaced. I make no recommendations as regards the many types of shower bases that are approved by plumbing codes. My services are directed toward building adjacent surfaces to these plumbing products that do not leak. To "rate" me on estimating the repair of a broken plumbing fixture (outside my market and expertise) seems to me invalid and unfair. I am sorry there seems to be a misunderstanding of what Soellinger Tile & Marble is legally allowed to advise the prospective client to do. But, I am certain that had this client hired Soellinger Tile & Marble to execute any work, it would have been faultless. Again, I hope this prospective client has solved their problem. It was a good experience, as Terry takes his time and does the job right. If you want it done fast, don't call him, as he makes sure things are set right, etc, before moving on to the next step.
Description of Work: Our tile was discolored from being put in 15 years ago. Terry stripped the tile down to the studs. He insulated the walls and put in new board. His work is nothing short of outstanding. He put in subway white tile with a gorgeous green marble trim and accent.
