We are a family owned and operated company we have been in operation for over 16 years and we strives in quality and guarantee our work with warranty's as well as we always back up our work and our people we do extensive back ground checks on our people and we treat your home or auto as if it was our own.
On a Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. I returned to my car in Kreager park, two dogs in tow, to discover that my key laniard was NOT around my neck, and had either been dropped on the grounds during our walk, or dropped in the car. My cell phone being locked in the car, I made a call to a neighbor, asking her to contact Worrell's. This was accomplished by 4:15. She came to the park and I talked directly to a man who said he couldn't get there for an hour, as he was "downtown, and the traffic...." I said ok, and began was became a wait of over 4 hours. In an additional call or 2 or 3 my neighbor reached what appeared to be a dispatcher, who explained the wait by saying, "Well there were 8 calls ahead of you." As Worrell's does not provide any locksmithing on site or elsewhere, I considered this a first step in solving my problem, which would have been to determine if the keys were in the car or not. If not, I would face getting another service, or being towed home. Resolution to my problem came by calling 311 at 9 p.m., dialing "4" for street services (I wanted to know what would happen if my car were left there overnight). The street service person gave me the phone number for the police, and the police helpfully located Robinson Wrecking in New Haven, transferred the call, which resulted in being rescued within 15 minutes. They had me unlocked and towed home by 9:30. Worrell's, while obviously in demand, cannot keep up with that demand, was irresponsible in keeping me informed about my chances of being rescued, and in fact never did call the number at which, for all they care, I am still waiting, in the park. Despite my first good experience with Worrell's, I would not advise anyone to rely on them.
Description of Work: Worrell's service consists of unlocking a car by means of inserting an inflatable membrane into the door frame to create an opening for a Jimmy strip. On a previous occasion (2009) two women arrived and allowed access to my car keys inside the vehicle. On that occasion I noticed that they towed a trailer for harvesting the stranded vehicle as well.
