+ -1 moreOurs was a relatively big project and, therefore, a bit pricey. That is the only reason for the "B" grade. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Once they started on our project, we received 100% of their attention from start to finish. The two-man crew was phenomenal in workmanship and outstanding in their professional, if somewhat laid back, manner at all times. The final product is a masterpiece in craftsmanship, especially for an outside deck. Seeing negative reviews from folks who never even hired their services is goofy at best. I would ignore such nonsense on this review board. If you are in the market for a new or rebuilt high-end product, I would look no further than Simply Decks and Stuff.
Description of Work: Repair/replacement of existing structural problems. Installation of new deck, rails and stairs.

+ -1 moreFrom the first moment we talked to Simply Decks and Stuff through to the final inspection, everything was great. We got an absolutely beautiful covered deck that has become our most favorite feature of our home. They listened to what we wanted, implemented all of what we wanted, checked to make sure we were satisfied, and answered all questions we had. Everyone who has seen our beautiful covered deck agree that is is BEAUTIFUL. They came when they said they would be here. They cleaned up all extra materials - nothing left behind. We would definitely use Simply Decks and Stuff again.

Description of Work: Installed a pergola. We believe they forgot to place the order for the pergola. It took twice as long for delivery and installation as we were promised. There was no price adjustment or even an apology. The installation crew did not speak to us. They just showed up and installed the pergola without even coming to the door. No follow up from the business to see if we were satisfied.

Description of Work: Totally unresponsive after discussions in their showroom. requested estimate, they never followed up even after repeat calls.

Description of Work: We've been getting estimates on a large deck remodel/rebuild (BIG job). When I called this company for an estimate, the representative rudely announced that the owner would come to our house, take measurements, etc., but then we would be required to come into their store during certain hours to go over his drawings on a computer before we'd get an estimate. I explained that we have a very large project, and that my husband and I work very long hours, and asked of there was any other way to go about getting an estimate, and the reply was, "NO." I've had no problems getting many other companies to come to OUR house and work our OUR schedules, so I kindly suggested that she give the owner my feedback, and said, "thank you anyway." I'll post a report on the company that we choose after the project is completed. We've had some excellent communications with a few other contractors (who are coming to our house even on evenings and weekends, so we're hopeful).

+ 0 morei delayed the planned landscaping while hiring a professtional home inspector to get an unbiased opinion of the soundness of my deck. While it can use some sprucing up, it won't fall down for another 25 years. Landscaping, planned for May, not completed until late June which added stress of heat and lack of rain to new plantings. I consider these to be unscrupulous sales tactics and would not recommend dealing with this company.
Description of Work: Due to planned landscaping, wanted to add stairs off my deck. Visited this company for estimate. He visited my home then had me come to his office to get estimate (first inconvenience). Instead of giving estimate, told me entire deck structurally unsound and should be torn down and rebuilt for approx cost of $15K. showed me pictures of parts of my deck and then scary pictures of collapsed decks. Told him to send estimate for requested work and complete rebuild while I thought about it. Never heard another word from him.
