We run four crews to better serve the community. We work out of several local supply houses, but have four bathrooms and a kitchen on display at Eagle Tile (On Fern hill behind Glenbrook Mall) on which our guys completed all the work. Therefore, potential clients can see the quality of our work first-hand, while not having to pay the overhead for the showroom which normally means lower prices than our competitors but the highest quality standards in the industry. Our company is also certified by the EPA for lead based paint removal. Additional contact names - Stephen Neeley, Melanie Neeley. Additional DBA - Serenity Kitchen. Additional email - bathmansteve@serenitykitchenandbath.com. Award winning. Award wining.
We are extremely happy with the work that Steve and his crews did for us. From start to finish, the job was done in a professional manner. We received two estimates for the work and Serenity's was the most reasonable for what we required. Steve met with us after we purchased the house and went through the process of asking what we wanted and what we wanted to spend. It is a mid-century house that had not been modified since it's construction. His plans were well thought out, and when we did want changes made, he was quick to do what we wanted. His plans were right on. In the end, we have a house that we truly like living in. The work was done on time and on budget. We would certainly use Serenity again.

These clients had some ideas, and with what we brought to the table, I think everything turned out great! Making the bar/pass-through between the dining area and the kitchen really opened up the space and turned a nice project into a work of art! Thank you to these clients for their hospitality toward our installers and for their promptness in making decisions to keep the job on schedule.

Kyle completed the entire project himself and took time to do things correctly with detail orientation. He explained everything as the project progressed and asked for my input with decisions such as the placement of the shelf inset, and location of the handrail in the tub. He also took time to answer my questions. He arrived on time everyday and would call if he was going to be late. He always cleaned up at the end of each day. Before starting the tile work he had me look at the tile which was a good thing as it was not what I had picked out. That problem was quickly remedied after I went to the showroom and confirmed the correct tile. This only caused a minor delay. I am very happy with the finished project; it was a much needed improvement. I recently noticed several small areas where the grout was coming out. I called Serenity and they were very responsive, sending Kyle out the same day for a quick repair.
Description of Work: Fiberglass tub/shower tear out and installation of new tub with ceramic tile tub surround to ceiling. 2 bathroom countertops/sinks replaced with new corian countertops. New shower and sink hardware also installed. Walls were repaired and left ready to paint.

Client was a pleasure to work with. When an issue, like the grout in this case, becomes apparent, we try to fix the problem as soon as possible. With our lifetime tile warranty, grout or tile issues are never a problem.

Our bathroom remodel was excellent--from the first contact by phone to the last day of work, the whole experience was positive. Choosing the materials and fixtures at Eagle Tile was easy (and they are beautiful!), the timeline that Steve set was followed the whole way through, the crew (mainly Chris and Lyle) was great, very professional, on time every day, and they took great care with drop cloths and plastic to protect other rooms and the floors--there are always surprises in remodeling older homes, and the Serenity crew took this all in stride and knew what to do to make the most of the space and come up with creative solutions. There was a minor issue in the shower with the seal around the seat built into the corner (which we noticed a few weeks after the work was completed), and Steve had the guys there the very next day--they discovered the problem and repaired it immediately. We were impressed with the detailed proposal that we received from Steve and the great communication back and forth when we had a question about anything. We recommend Serenity Kitchen and Bath very highly, and look forward to having them here to re-do the kitchen next!
Description of Work: The bathroom adjoining the master bedroom in our home (built in 1946) was completely re-done--removing the existing bathtub and metal shower enclosure, toilet and sink, existing tile floor and soffets---Serenity redesigned the space, allowing a larger shower and relocation of the sink to include more storage and vanity space...Serenity installed all the new fixtures, a new tile floor, exhaust fan and lighting and also did the painting and finishing in the room. They arranged for the new shower to be completely sealed.

I am dissatisfied with the work. However, the tile work work was excellent. When the started giving me estimates, he stopped itemizing my list of needs. This was my first clue that something was wrong. The vanities were an inch shorter, and the space above the vanities were left raw and unfinished for about (1.5 inches, and very noticeable). He just refused to finish that part in one vanity. He suggested a 4 light vanity light on the wall. When I said that it would be expensive; he said he would build the labor into the job. Then I noticed he charged me the labor to this job separately. I also noticed that he charged me extra for hanging up the fixtures, for moving the toilet, as well as, other extra charges. Then he repaired the ceiling, and the kitchen the ceiling. From one side it is very evident where they patched the ceilings. It is really going to hurt the resell value of my home. The job was suppose to take a total of 15 days, however the job to took over two months. They stared in late March last job did not actually get finished June the 20th.
Description of Work: He remodeled two bathrooms, and a hole above the kitchen.

I have replied to every email from this client. She had originally hired her daughter's boyfriend to do this job. She bought top-notch materials, but he botched the job and the shower leaked into the kitchen. Nothing in the entire job was done right. The faucet was installed with missing parts, then silicone was globbed around it to keep it from leaking. She was upset from the start that we couldn't re-use the tile that she had bought and her daughter's boyfriend had installed. If she had hired us originally, she wouldn't have had to pay for the job twice. It is explicitly stated in our contract that we were not painting and that the vanity tops would not be the same thickness. The gap around the countertop was mudded. It is stated specifically that if we are not doing the painting, then any paint lines from old countertops would be mudded, but not painted. Now, she wants us to paint the entire room, because she had an original faux finish (several years old), something that was not in the contract, and therefore she wasn't charged for. Furthermore, the light fixture she references was an after-thought on her part. This wasn't discussed prior to signing our agreement, so it would have been impossible for us to include the cost in the bid since we weren't even aware that she wanted it done. The contract states that any work requested by homeowner, that was not stated in the contract, would result in additional charges to the homeowner. When I inspected the job, the ceilings looked fine and she was happy with them. I just found out yesterday (by letter via email) that she wasn't happy. This was the first time that I was notified that she wasn't completely satisfied -- as she stated she loved the job when we settled up on the invoice. I replied immediately to the email, offering to come back out and look it over again and see what it would take to make her happy, and I would schedule the guys back in there. But, I have received no reply. I don't understand why she says that "he stopped itemizing my list of needs". We never itemized anything to start with. So, to say that we started and then stopped is ludicrous. The first I heard about any request for itemization was yesterday in her letter. As for the time line, the shower doors were custom and were mis-measured - a mistake on our part, that we admitted. This resulted in a delay on the glass. As a way of appeasing her, she selected a more expensive glass, and we didn't charge her for the change. The job was bid for 15 working days. It took 15 working days to complete. However, homeowner asked that the tile in the first bathroom be sealed prior to commencing on the 2nd bath. The first bath's grout had to cure for 2 days, then be sealed, and then the sealer had to cure for 3 days prior to use. So, that was the extra week. Our work took the 15 working days as we told her it would. I would like the opportunity to fix anything that she says wasn't done correctly, that was in the contract. However, to date she hasn't returned my messages, and was pleased with the entire project (except for the paint line around the vanity top) when we finished the project.
Steve and his team were easy to work with, where punctual. They held to all timing commitments with excellent quality. I would not hesitate to use Serenity again.

Since the bath was so small, I felt limited in my options to remodel. Steve came up with several ideas for the space. The shower doorway was enlarged to allow more air and light inside. I decided on porcelain tile for the shower and floors. A coordinating sink top, light, medicine cabinet, and water saving toilet completed the room. Kyle did a great job fitting the tile into the space. He explained the care of all the new bath fixtures. Everyone arrived on time each day and was both friendly and professional. When necessary I was always informed of changes in schedule. My bathroom has now moved into the 21st century. It's beautiful and I get many compliments on it.
Description of Work: My very small bathroom was from the 80's. The walled in corner shower had mildewy tile and a glass door. It was dark inside and felt like showering in a small closet. The toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet and floor also needed an upgrade.

REBUTTAL CONCERN:Owner uses misinformation to deflect issues and his responsibility. TIMEFRAME:Signed contract Aug to get on company schedule in 6-8 weeks. Project delayed extra 4 weeks to miss Thanksgiving.Total design time-3 weeks. OTHER CONTRACTOR:GOSSIP-Tile project total cost $2667-repaid$400. Communication 2 letters each(4 total)-no lawyer by us. Owner agreed job subpar-provided verbal bid in Aug. CALLING VENDOR:Owner's brother contacted vendor. We NEVER had contact-in person,on phone, or by email with vendor. PASSING INSPECTIONS:Electrical passed AFTER electrician, who pulled permit belatedly, required replacement of 4 incorrectly installed electrical fixtures-they were against code and potentially hazardous with original location designed by owner. REMOVING OBJECTS:Owner would complete an aspect of a job AGAINST the wishes of the customer? 1. Permits requested by us during design phase - met with reluctance by Serenity Kitchen and Bath owner (owner). Had to remind owner to get permits day before start of project - only Building-Home Improvement Permit obtained. Wed Week 1 - our contact with local Building Dep't forced obtaining necessary plumbing and electrical permits (installers pulled off job TH Week 1 - returned M Week 2). Rough-in inspection for Building Permit never called in. 2. Electrical and plumbing work completed by company-employed installers (not licensed tradesmen) - not by electrician/plumber pulling permits. Electrician evaluated work - already installed fixtures found to not meet code requirements: moved light/fan combo from shower area to toilet area, & single dome light from over toilet to shower [NOTE: required covered light not installed]; heat lamp moved outside of shower area, and switch increased to 4-way and moved to outside wall. GFI added to shower light and heat lamp. NOTE: owner "designed" original location/type of fixtures in his bid. Plumber evaluated work - added metal stud caps. 3. Plumbing Permit - Installers were scheduled to lay shower pan over extensive new pipes - we stopped work. Contact with local Building Dep't - rough-in inspection required before laying floor. Inspection occurred next day (passed rough-in) and installation shower floor resumed. 4. Vanity countertop/vessel sinks - Corian countertop delivered Wed. Week 3. On arrival inside home for 1st inspection, it had 2 eleven (11) inch circular cut-outs - vessel sinks ("pebbled" with very irregular outer surface) sat recessed about 3-4". Vessel sinks were countertop at showroom display - seen together by one of us, owner and our interior designer [have signed, notarized statement from the interior designer stating expectation was for countertop placement]. Manufacturer's installation directions call for a cut-out of not more that 1 1/2". We removed sinks from bathroom during discussion phase. Owner in subsequent email stated "the top that we delivered to the job this week, and that was custom fitted for your opening on site prior to installation, is what our agreement calls for" and "you took the sinks, faucets, and accessories from the bathroom, which prevented us from finishing the project as outlined in our agreement." Note: contract calls for "cut-outs for vessel sinks" without dimension stated. 5. We attempted resolution of countertop/vessel sink installation: 1.Wed Week 3 we offered splitting the cost (~$450 each) - owner declined but offered to "order another custom top, at your expense" and "swap the tops". 2. TH Week 3 We counter-offered (#1) to pay for full cost of countertop, keep the original countertop, and make payment in full when outstanding inspections were completed and passed - owner declined stating that all payment would be due for the project to date except for $2000 to complete countertop and vessel sink installation with that due upon installation. "Inspections will be called in at the appropriate times, per -, and Serenity." Also stated, "Other costs incurred by Serenity could be added, per our proposal, if an amicable solution is not reached." 3. Fri Week 3 We counter-offered (#2) to pay for full cost of countertop with specifications for cut-outs for vessel sinks to be made by plumber, and set a schedule of payments based upon schedule of permits passing (sited sources from local Building Department's website including "Final Approval. The Building Department will provide documentation when construction is complete and code compliance is determined.") - owner declined Sat Week 3; response in part "The emails regarding what you will pay when, and only after this or that inspection, is not part of our agreement. Our agreement has no mention of permits or inspections, and/or their basis for payment for said agreement." Two proposals were presented with deadline of acceptance by Mon Week 4 or "And finally, due to your having removed items that were purchased by Serenity Kitchen and Bath, from the jobsite proper, preventing us from otherwise finishing your project, I have been instructed to file a lien against your property to protect my interests, on Tuesday morning if the above terms have not been met and/or agreed to. The fees associated with the lien would be added to the lien, and will have to be paid prior to releasing the lien." Included was an Invoice which included: "Homeowner provided mirrors, no mounting hdwr $135.00; Homeowner provided lights, no mounting hdwr $145; Change order to Move Switches & patch wall $195.00" NOTE: First two items were added after statement in #2 above. Last item was cost for changing 3-way switch (included in contract) to a 4-way switch which was required to meet code. 6. We identified on Sun Week 4 on the owner's personal Facebook page (then unrestricted access) a posting and a subsequent comment that appeared to us, by content and timing, to refer to us in a negative way. 7. We began significant contact with our attorney on Mon Week 4 but due to need to address concerns regarding the permit issues, the countertop/vessel sink issue, the seemingly arbitrarily added costs, and the Facebook posting, we were not able to meet the deadline imposed by the owner. We received by Express Mail mid-day Wed Week 4 an item from the owner which had been mailed mid-day Tue Week 4. It contained a "Pre-Lien Notice" prepared and signed by the owner (no identified attorney representing the owner). We were advised by our attorney to pay the amount in full with the demand that the lien be removed and our attorney hand-delivered such on Fri Week 4. NOTE: There is no governmental record of a lien being placed on our property in Dec. 2011 so the owner apparently did not follow-thru with the required lien steps. 8. In January, we contracted with a new company to complete the project. Work included: installation new Corian countertop with countertop vessel sink and vessel faucets (work subcontracted to the licensed plumber who had taken out the new permit), remainder of vanity backsplash with grouting/caulking, frameless glass panel shower wall with ShowerGuard, 2 towel bars and 2 towel rings, and heat duct vent in vertical wall; as well as correcting issues of inadequate grouting of both shower soapdishes and leaking spa tub hand-held shower. A separate contractor completed the painting of the shower room ceiling. Cost for all materials/labor for full completion of project = $3882. 9. In January, both we and our attorney had discussions with the local Building Department. We noted that a "Hold" had been placed on Serenity Kitchen and Bath's (company) license on 12/1/11 which coincided with our call to them that precipitated the electrical and plumbing permits. We were encouraged to submit information regarding our experiences with the company and our attorney did so on our behalf. Letter of our attorney available for review. Owner's counsel, after owner met with the Building Department, wrote to the Building Department on February 21 which says, in part, "This letter will commemorate the discussions and understandings reached during our meeting." "..., my client acknowledges its obligation to secure all necessary permits. To that end, my client has agreed to submit a 'scope of work' on the next 24 projects it undertakes to perform in Allen County. The 'scope of work' will be delivered to you or Mr. (deleted) for your review, and my client pledges to secure all necessary permits and otherwise abide fully with the law and Allen County Building Department rules and regulations relating to obtaining of necessary permits and building department approval of work." 10. We believe the Building Department, off the record, further strongly encouraged the owner and his attorney that the owner should "make things right" with us. 11. We want to share our gratitude and appreciation to the two installers of Serenity Kitchen and Bath. John and Lyle, who completed the body of our project. Both were consistently courteous, and provided education when needed. They were fastidious in preparing our home in the morning and cleaning it in the evening. Most significantly, their commitment to their skill and artistry of tilework is evident in our beautiful shower and floor. 12. Serenity promoted itself to us originally by claiming its spotless record with the BBB and Angie?s List. We then found ourselves with a contractor that did not comply with permitting requirements of the Building Department, and we suspect what happened to us has happened to others previously because of the action now taken by the Building Department to oversee Serenity?s work. Worse, Serenity failed to abide by its contract in providing the appropriate countertop, used its lien rights in an inappropriate way to leverage its wrongful position and then used the social media to denigrate, criticize and defame our character and our position as the customer and people paying the owner?s contract. The level of unprofessional behavior is something we have never experienced, and hope never will again
Description of Work: Demolition two-seat pre-fab shower Demolition all but 10" adjacent hallway linen closet Construction of custom door-less entry 5' X 3.5' tiled shower with showerheads on two walls and controls on third wall Installation of light/fan combo and duo heat-lamp in shower area, new dome light over toilet, & 3-way switch for same (2 lights on one switch) New Corian vanity countertop with 2 vessel sinks/vessel faucets with mosaic backsplash (not completed) Installation 2 new mirrors/light fixtures over vanity sinks Installation of new tile floor Installation of new tile around already existing spa tub Installation of replacement spa tub faucets and new hand-held shower Installation frameless glass panel shower wall with ShowerGuard (not completed) Finishing of shower room ceiling - Spanish lace and painting (inadequately painted - many areas of board visible) NOTE: There was no provision in the contract for painting of walls.

Customer contracted job on 8/23/11. We started the project on 11/28/11, with permit in hand. With all of that time, the homeowners were still making changes to their selections the week before the project started. It has recently come to light that a contractor, who completed a job for this client a couple months prior to our project, was hounded repeatedly by them and eventually their attorney, until he wrote a check to refund the entire price of the project. This client demanded that we write them a check for over $10,000, or they threatened to write to rating agencies like Angie’s List. When a client takes months to make their selections, calls our vendors and changes orders behind our backs, and then takes fixtures that are to be installed in their bathroom (they took 2 sinks, 2 faucets, and all of the accessories and left notes to tell our installers they took them and not to install them, then accused us of not fulfilling our contract) – then is upset because the project doesn’t get finished, then there is obviously a problem with the client. Every inspection passed without incident, with no changes necessary on our part. Contracts are written for a reason: to protect the client and to protect us. When the client took our materials from the jobsite (that they had not yet paid for), preventing us from finishing the project, it became evident that the client was not going to pay for the project. The lien was threatened to insure payment. No lien was actually filed. The last email that I received from this client begins with: “Your team has been so incredibly dedicated to their work today. The bathroom looks wonderful and the skill is very evident.” In their own words, they cannot dispute our quality of work. Our record speaks for itself. If a client is able to be pleased, we will please them.

I am totally bewildered by this report! I have an email dated 9/30 from this client that states that she will keep us in mind for her kitchen work in the future, but had decided to go with a different contractor for the work. Yet, in her ratings, she claims that she would not consider us in the future. The email prior to that, she stated that another company was cheaper in "some aspects" of the job. I pointed out to her that the company she decided on only uses sub-contractors, which would explain the price difference. Furthermore, she rated us as "B" for quality? How would she know? The quality of the proposal is first rate. Other than that, there is nothing else by which to rate our quality. Rated a "B" for responsiveness. She called on 9/15, I measured the job on 9/16 and I emailed her bid on 9/17 with three different options. I would say that is pretty responsive -- and as I used to work for the company she hired -- probably much faster turnaround than they had. As for punctuality, I was on-time for the measure and very punctual with the bid. And as for professionalism, I pointed out two options for her master bath that she hadn't considered. I also bid several different options just so that she could make an informed decision. If two day turnaround from call to written proposal/bid delivery is lack of service or not punctual, then I am guilty. Otherwise, I think this customer has truly done us a disservice through her ratings.

Visited Eagle Tile to get tile ideas to update a master bath. Saw an impressive tile/shower display by Serenity Bath at the tile store and decided to call Steve, the owner of Serenity, for an estimate. Already had an appointment scheduled with another well-know local bathroom remodeler, but decided it would be good to get a couple of opinions and estimates. Steve came out, discussed the MANY ideas I had within a day or two of my call. Steve was a good listener ... really HEARD what I was asking for, offered some good suggestions and design ideas. He was extremely responsive from Day One to phone calls, emails, questions, etc. and that same attitude and professional continued throughout the entire project. Within a few days he had written up an impressive and extremely detailed estimate with several options priced separately, just as we had requested. Steve worked with me to narrow our focus and options and to work within our budget. The other company's lack of follow-through with providing an estimate after their initial consultation sealed the deal for us. Incidentally, I had mentioned that we were also getting a bid from Serenity and curiously we never heard back from the other company ... no price quote, no follow-up phone calls ... seemly just disappeared into thin air. Steve's employee, Kyle, was assigned to our project and Kyle completed all of the work himself (demolition, dry wall installation, re-routed plumbing, installed a pocket door, electrical work, tile installation, etc.) ... with the exception of a few minor subcontracted items (tile sealing, etc.) Kyle was an awesome representative for Serenity. He was punctual, arriving every day on schedule as discussed. He respected our property taking pains to carefully and meticulously cover any areas that might be subject to damage. Each night when he left, he made sure the work area had been cleaned or vacuumed. He worked a full day each day, and then some, often putting in much more than 8 hours per day. The quality of his work was phenomenal. His attention to detail and perfection suited our sensibility and expectations. Kyle worked on our project like he was working on his own home; his pride in his work is obvious. We didn't see Steve much during the actual construction, but there was no need to since he had put the project in Kyle's capable hands. We would whole-heartedly recommend Serenity to anyone considering a bath remodel. We will call them ourselves in the future when we are ready to make further updates to our home. We know we could easily have found someone to do the job for less money, but we were not willing to compromise quality for a lower price. At four months after the job was completed, we feel like we got what we paid for ... a top-notch, quality investment to our home.
Description of Work: Update master bath shower and tub areas and replace carpet with tile floor in another upstairs bathroom. Ultimately decided to remove a fiberglass shower enclosure and replace it with a larger tiled shower with a glass door. Included adding a tiled shelf to the shower area and decorative tile accents. Replaced the old tile tub surround to match the new tile. Removed and repaired the existing whirlpool tub. Removed door to shower room and replaced with a pocket door. Tiled floor in two bathrooms. Rerouted plumbing to accommodate the placement of the pocket door. Installed new hardware and faucets throughout. Improved lighting and ventilation issues in the shower area. Corrected some structural inadequacies/issues that were discovered from the original construction of the bathroom.

The installers showed up on time each day and there was never a break in the work schedule. For example, they didn't leave our job to go work on another job. They worked each day until our project was finished. Another great thing is that they clean the worksite after they were done. There was no sign of tile/drywall dust, no shoe prints, finger prints or smudges of any kind. I like that. The accidently broke a swith plate on the wall, but they immediately replaced it with a new one. Thanks guys!
Description of Work: We finished our basement and installed a full bathroom. We used Serenity to complete the shower in the basement bathroom. The shower measures 33 square feet. It has a nice bench seat and 3 of the 4 walls are angled. It was a complicated project so I decided to hire professionals to do the work. I contacted three companies to provide estimates. All of the prices came in about the same but Serenity was by far more professional then the others. Steve, the owner responded to my emails and phone calls very quickly and courteously. The framing for the shower and the rough-in plumbing was completed. Serenity built the shower from the studs out. They installed the backer/cement board, shower drain, shower pan, membrane and all of the ceramic tile. We used a 12" x 12" tile to cover the entire shower. The show pan was tiled with matching sheets of 2" mosaic tiles. They also installed a mosaic border tile on the shower walls and two soap dishes. The border tile was a little extra from the original bid, but it was worth it. I also had them finish the tile work on the bathroom floor. This was also an add-on to the original bid. Our installer offered design suggestions. For example, he suggested we go with a straight tile layout above the border and use a subway design below the border. It was a great idea and it gave our shower a custom look and feel. The results are spectacular! We're very happy with our new basement shower. We would use Serenity again for another remodeling project.

Caught them at good time when they were not busy, so very reponsive. Later they got a few big jobs and were anxious to move on, but overall very good experience. Custom tile work was carefully laid out by Kyle who is a fantastic asset to the company. All crew very friendly, competent, professional, and patient with our dog who always demanded their attention. Had minor issue with wrong item ordered/installed, but matter was resolved satisfactorily. How a company handles their mistakes will often tell you the most about them.
Description of Work: Used them for custom tile flooring in foyer and half bath as well as minor plumbing repairs in kitchen and bath.

Steve Neeley and his team were great to work with. The proposal was very detailed, especially compared with proposals we obtained from other companies. Steve made sure to give good allowances for materials in his quote and we were very happy with the selection of materials that was available within the allowance. Throughout the job Steve was very responsive to any change, request, or concern. The installers were very respectful putting down dropcloths from the front door to the bathroom everyday and doing a good job cleaning up each day, particularly when they completed the job. Everything works great and it looks beautiful. Chris and Erv paid attention to every detail and thier craftsmanship is apparent in the results. My wife and I keep saying to each other that we feel like our bathroom is from a high end hotel now!

Steve the owner came out, we talked about ideas of what I wanted to do. I gave him a budget and he worked with it. Hid staff showed up, introduced themselves and always said if they were going to be late. Job was finished in a timely manner and every time I walk into my bathroom I can't believe how beautiful it is. My only regret is that I don't have more money for more projects. I would totally recommend this company.
Description of Work: Master bath remodeled- new shower, counter top, toilet. Hall bath- new shower, counter top, new toilet. Kitchen bath- new toilet and counter top. Basement bath- new counter top and toilet.

Steve Neeley was always very prompt and responsive. The proposal was very detailed, especially compared with proposals we obtained from other companies. Theirs seemed a little higher, but we were right in believing that the quality of the proposal was indicative of the quality of the work. Our shower is not only beautiful, but works like a dream with my disabilities. The infrastructure work (tearing out the old and preparing the new) was very noisy and dusty, but completed very quickly. The tiler (another Steve) did great work and provided very good suggestions. The one glitch was really my fault for missing the description of the door in the proposal. When I requested a change, Neeley was wonderful in getting the change incorporated while lessening the cost to me. We also found a $200 coupon in the local "Mad Money" advertisment. Our new shower is absolutely gorgeous!
Description of Work: Removed old bathtub/shower unit with tile shower and provided more tile for us to install in rest of house. Serenity removed the old plastic unit, replaced some wet insulation, moved the dryer vent pipe that had been run under the tub, created the new drain & plumbing, moved the shower head up higher for my disability, repaired a crack in the slab foundation, installed drywall, tiled the new shower including a nook for soap & shampoo and a toe-hold, added new plumbing fixtures, installed two safety bars, arranged for the installation of new glass doors, removed the bathroom carpet and replaced with flooring tile. They also arranged for us to buy enough extra matching tile so that we could tile the remainder of the house ourselves.

I called and Steve came out for an estimate- on time! Had a detailed plan and estimate in a matter of days. Made a couple of tweaks and agreed on what would be done. He gave me an idea of when they would get started and they were in the later part of the timeframe; installation took about a week and the crew was wonderful. They were on time, on schedule and on budget which is a miracle these days! Steve even met me at the tile place to help me decide on colors, etc which was greatly appreciated. He is very quick to respond to questions and made sure everything was perfect before he was done. We are planning to re-do our basement in the future and there is no way I would ever call anyone else. We look forward to working with Steve and his team again.
Description of Work: They pulled out our old fiberglass shower and installed a tiled shower with rainhead, new fixtures, custom toe hole, shampoo shelving and heavy glass door. Also installed an extra can light and new fan.

We are going to have them do the work, but they are not going to start the job until October. Our interaction went well from start to finish. The owner came out and he was very helpful in terms of explaining things. We got some other quotes, but he kept in touch with us as we were looking at other companies. When we were discussing the different jobs, he told us about the differences in what he had prepared versus some other companies. We just liked the way he was willing to work with us. We probably would use them in the future.
Description of Work: Serenity Kitchen & Bath Design/Remodeling gave us an estimate on a bath remodel about a month ago. They are going to remove a tub and shower and put in a tiled shower, just a sliding door enclosure. They are going to replace faucets and do some counter work in another bathroom as well.

Quick estimate, project completed efficiently and when promised, within two weeks. Work was done very professionally. Good communications and helpful suggestions.
Description of Work: Three bathrooms were completely updated, except for the tubs/showers. Ceramic tile installed, new sinks and vanities, new toilets, walls painted, new lighting, and accessories.
I heard of Serenity Kitchen and Bath originally over the radio where for awhile they had an advertisement. I checked them out with Angie's List and the BBB. All was favorable with no complaints and they were graded an A. I also talked to others that had them do work and all were happy with their remodeling. I called Steve Neely, the owner, and he came out right away. He was very personable and professional. I told him what I wanted to do and he sent me an estimate right away with some suggestions as to what I may want to order; however, he let me pick what I wanted. When everything was in to do the job, he called and scheduled the work. He sent Kyle who did all of the work. Kyle is very talented and professional. He is a hard worker, working non-stop all day, and I was very impressed with his professional work as well as his wonderful attitude and expertise in everything he did (I even emailed Steve to thank him for sending Kyle). I cannot say enough good about him. I also was putting in new carpet and I appreciated them because they came back after I had the carpet in to cut off the 3 of the interior doors that were a little tight, so they are willing to work with you and your plan. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about anything, Steve will be right over to check it out. He will never leave you hanging in the air. He will always respond. He also wants to make sure that you are happy with everything, so he is a wonderful person to work with. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering remodeling your kitchen or bath. I am very happy with my bathroom and the new interior doors, and I am sure you will be also if you contract with them. It is refreshing to work with a company who cares and takes pride in their work and their business.
Description of Work: This company updated my main bathroom except for the bathtub and the cabinet which were in good condition. The work was all done by Kyle who does very professional work and is very personable to have working in your home. He did the demolition work in a very neat fashion and left no mess at all. The cement floor was repaired (there was a register vent in the floor which was filled up) and new ceramic tile was installed. It was installed very professionally and is straight and even on the floor with a matching grout color which blends very well. New wookwork and base shoe moldings were also replaced very professionally. Kyle removed 2 ceiling lights and rewired the electrical so I could have 1 wall mounted lighting fixture above the vanity mirror. The ceiling is spanish lace and the 2 holes in the ceiling were repaired with drywall and then blended in with the rest of the ceiling. I was delighted that you cannot even tell where the 2 ceiling lights were at all, so he did a very excellent job on that. He also put up a large vanity mirror on the wall and new light fixture over the mirror, as well as installed GFI protected electric receptacle to replace the old one and changed 2 other switches to white. The walls were a mess and drywall was repaired and Guardz and skimcoating were put on all bathroom walls. The ceiling and the walls were then all painted. The painting was very neat and professional and there was absolutely no mess, no paint on the woodwork - just a great paint job. A new cultured marble countertop was installed with new faucet and on the bathtub faucet I had a lever to replace the crystal ball installed (I like this much better). A new toilet with new seal, bolts and supply line, and a slow closing seat (which I lke) was installed. A new bathroom fan with a light was installed. I also had installed all new interior doors, including the sliding closet doors. Kyle took all my old doors to the lumber yard and had them cut to match. I was surprised when they all fit. New hinges and doorknobs were installed. A new track and new rollers on one of the bedroom closets was installed because the old ones were bad. Also installed was a new fluid master in my 2nd bathroom because the toilet would not flush right and Steve showed me where it was broken. I believe this covers everything and hope I did not leave out anything.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about our experience with this company and it's staff. Everyone was so friendly, so professional, so talented, so prompt, so dedicated to their job. They were so conscientious of making their presence seem unobtrusive in our home. We have never had a better experience and we have done some extensive remodeling in our home. The three standout people that worked in our home, were Kyle, Chris, and Steve. Kyle was the Master Bath start to finish person. It was such a pleasure having him in our home. His attention to detail was unbelievable. He often worked very late, to keep things on schedule. He even requested coming on a Saturday to powerwash our front porch which was used in some of their tile preparation. Every night the tarps leading into the bathroom were rolled up and removed. If we asked for something or just mentioned something he always followed up on it, even when we didn't ask him to do so. He truly was working to make this experience which can be obtrusive, go as seemlessly as possible. When things were done requiring two people Chris was here. They worked so well together. Their knowledge base and talent were impeccable. Our Florida Room required the talents of Steve. He removed the built in bench, and reconstructed the area using the wood he removed, so it appeared as if no bench had ever existed. He carpeted the area quickly and perfectly. Everyone always cleaned up whatever needed to be cleaned, and removed any debris. From start to finish it was truly a pleasure having this company work for us. If we ever need anything done in our home, this company will be the first one we contact. Steve Neeley is an excellent buisiness owner. He knows what he is doing and who works for him. There were certain things we were unsure of that we let him take the lead on, and we were never disappointed. We could go on and on with our compliments. This was truly a great experience with great results. We are thrilled with the outcome. We had and outdated bathroom, with good bones. They turned it into a luxurios master bath retreat!!!. Wonderful business owner, outstanding crew. If your looking for a company in this area, look here first, you will not be disappointed!!!!! What I would recommend to potential clients: Think about what you want done in your home, look at different ideas, do your homework, so that you can concisely let your wants/needs be understood. Once a plan and contract are written/drawn up read everything carefully. Your contract is the blueprint for the crew. If anything is added or missing don't assume it will be remembered, have it put in writing. It will be better for your, and is what the crew uses. If you do this you will certainly get what is in there, at least from this group of wonderfully talented people...
Description of Work: Our Master Bathroom was totally gutted. A large doorless walk-in shower was built. A tub deck was built that surrounded a Jason whirlpool tub. A new toilet was added. New cabinetry was custom built that included 2 quart topped sinks with maple cabinets, a laundry hamper cabinet, a linen cabinet, and smaller cabinet for personal items. Heated flooring was put in under tile. Popcorn ceiling was removed and spanish lace applied. Wallpaper was removed, walls were prepped and painted. All plumbing and electrical was done by this company. This was what was originally contracted for. Because of their expertise, we added having them removed the popcorn from Master Bedroom, put in spanish lace, add crown molding. In our florida room the removed a built in window seat and reconstructed the area to match existing wood construction so it appeared as though it was always this way. They laid carpeting here. During this time we accidentally cut some landscape lighting outside which they repaired for us. All these extras were added and they were willing and able to complete all these extra tasks and keep on the estimated time table to complete the Master Bathroom.
