Schmucker came out at an alright time, he was delayed by a foot of snow coming in. I did not go with them because they were too expensive.

I had a problem with water seeping behind the gutters, down the fascia boards, and through the soffits. They came out and found that whoever had replaced the roof before I had bought the house had not installed the shingles correctly. There was no starter strip, the shingles didn't over lap far enough, etc. They worked with me to try to correct the problems and came out three different times to try different fixes. Eventually, they told me that the only way to really fix the problem was to replace the roof. They tore off the old shingles and put on new. They waived what I owed them for the previous repair attempts. Their crew was prompt, professional, and friendly and kept me informed of what was going on. They also found a problem with the chimney and repaired that too. At the end of each day, they totally cleaned up the area while avoiding damaging my landscaping. My parents need a new roof and I have recommended the company to them and I have also recommended them to a couple of friends. I have dealt with contractors before and have never felt this satisfied with a company. The owner returns calls right away and is honest. I would definitely hire them for other home repair work.
