In late November of 2012, I found this company through a Living Social deal, where they were offering a season's worth of snow removal at a very reasonable price. I called to get an estimate because the driveway where I wanted to get snow removed from was larger than the allowable square footage. The man I talked with promptly provided an estimate, including a steep discount since I'd found them through Living Social. I gave the snow removal package to my mom for an early Christmas present and waited for the first snow. The day after Christmas, it snowed a good bit. That evening, I received an email telling me that the company was working through their customer list and everything should be dealt with soon. The following afternoon, my mom's driveway was still covered with snow. Numerous calls and emails to the company got no explanation of what was happening. New Years Eve, it snowed again. Again, no snow removal and no responses from the company. Finally, I was able to get through to someone in early January. Apparently, I'd never been officially added to a route, despite having paid for the service in November and receiving confirmation that everything was ok with my account. I thought things would be better until we got more snow in late January and nothing had improved. Things actually got worse because there was no longer an answering service taking calls. There was voicemail (which were never returned) and email (also never returned). I tried to contact the manager for a refund but never heard anything back. Luckily, I had paid for my service through Google Wallet and was able to file a dispute. I did eventually get my money back but the whole experience was extremely upsetting to both myself and my mother, who had been really excited for a Winter without having to use her snow blower.
Description of Work: The contract was for a season's worth of snow removal - unlimited times for any snowfall over 3".
