I purchased a Susan Magnolia bush on May 17th; my husband‘s first encounter with Mr. Patton was not a positive one, but I went back a few days later and spoke with him - (found out he likes to be called General Patton 🙂 …) … Anyway, I would like to say that this second encounter was much more positive. I purchased my bush and it is doing great

+ -1 moreWe just finished a major landscaping project and it was done very quickly, considering the amount of work that was involved. The workers were efficient, worked hard ALL day and were professional in all their interactions. The company is definitely old school but I kind of like that. Becky, the designer, hand drew all the designs and wrote out in long hand all the paperwork. Rick is a character but both he and Becky came out several times to observe the progress. They discussed additions I wanted at the last minute very amenably and got them in the next day. I was super impressed with their company and crew. If you have something that needs to be done right, they know what they are doing!s The pictures are immediately after planting so when its all in bloom is will be even better looking!
Description of Work: Landscaping, tree pruning, tree planting and bush and perennial plantings.

+ -1 moreTerrible. Dealt with Rick Patton, the owner I believe. He was gruff, insulting, argumentative and continually complaining about customers in general. He was dishonest about what he said and insulting to me as a return customer. Don't know how he stays in business. He'll never, after this last go around, ever get business from me again. Done with Patton Landscaping.

+ -1 moreThe woman from Patton Landscape Company was supposed to give us a landscape design plan but she never got back to us, ever. There was no call, no nothing. That I didn't like but they did an excellent job putting the trees in and they are good trees.
Description of Work: Patton Landscape Company planted two 20 foot trees.

Description of Work: I read the excellent reviews of this company and called them regarding some landscaping I wanted to do. They never called me back even though I left a message with my name (spelled) and my home phone number. Very disappointed that they didn't have the courtesy to call me back.

+ 0 moremost lived, some died and now I am left with heavy metal "baskets" that held the trees for planting. My daughter ordered another tree to be planted and I called to ask them to take it out of the basket (so if it died I wouldn't have to try and plant around the wire. A very rude man told me that there would be no warranty if the tree was taken out (I can understand that) but I asked why the wire didn't deteriorate. He got very indignant and told me that I could just dig them up (two out of three ornamental "apple" ? trees have died that were in my long flower bed and now I am left with these wire things. It has been at leasty 10 years since the first one died and I still get my shovel in the wire when I am transplanting etc. He seemed to think that I should remember the kind of trees they were (small white, pink, and red blooms in spring). He was VERY unprofessional and thinks a 74 year old should just "dig up those baskets". I told him that we would have planted the trees ourselves if we could dig those holes. BEWARE LARGE HEAVY WIRE BASKETS UNDER AND AROUND TREES THEY PLANT

+ 0 morePatton sells very large trees for a price that is comparable to other local nurseries. The biggest difference is Patton will plant the trees free of charge and will warranty them for a year! We were extremely happy with the service and the trees we selected. Trees were planted well, watered, & mulched then the area was cleaned up. Now that we are building a new house, we plan on using Patton for ALL of our trees. We aren't even looking elsewhere!
Description of Work: We had 5 trees installed over the course of two years. We did not have any landscaping design done.

Description of Work: We contracted with Patton Landscape in 2010 to design and install an extensive landscape overhaul for our yard. The landscape design they created was wonderful. The plants they used were of very good quality and were reasonably priced. The people who came out to install the landscaping were fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves every day. We were very impressed. The next spring we contacted them again to crisp up the edges around the mulched areas and replace a couple of plants. Again their fee was competitive and the installers were fast and efficient. It is at this point that Mr. Patton and I had a disagreement. The new edging did not look like the edging looked the previous year when it was first installed. I am not a landscaper nor had I ever worked with a landscaper until we hired Patton Landscaping the year before. I did not know that newly installed edging looks different than maintained edging. I thought they had done it wrong and asked them to re-do it. Mr. Patton said it wasn't done wrong and would not re-do the work.Turns out he was right and I was wrong. Other than that, we were very impressed with the work they did, the thorough way they cleaned up behind themselves, and the professional way they performed their work.

+ 0 moreContacted the company and their designer came to the house prior to our meeting to draw up a plan for landscaping to be installed over 2-3 years. At our meeting she was very thorough and had many ideas and suggestions to save us money. The landscapers arrived and went right to work - did an excellent job. We had them return a year later to clean the beds, trim, and mulch - again did an excellent job. We also had another area of the property landscaped - all plants are still alive and growing, looking good. We had them return this season to clean the beds, mulch, trim, and to transplant a tree and plant a new tree. Did a fantastic job. Will defintely keep working with them.
Description of Work: Was very impressed with the work performed. Landscape designer was thorough and spent "time" reviewing our property for landscaping work to be done over 3-4 years. The workers arrived and went right to work, were very informative about the plants, prepared the soil, installed and transplanted small trees, bushes, and flowers per the drawing; mulched and cleaned up afterward. I will continue to use them.

+ -1 moreOverall, the experience was good. The employees that came out were fabulous and cleaned up just about every twig that was on the ground. They did it all by hand so no equipment had to be rolled across my yard. We're very happy with the new tree and their services.
