Scott Mumma was very quick to make contact with us once we ordered the $149 Roof Repair and Maintenance from Angie's List. We had several leaks, so decided to use the deal, and at the same time get an assessment on other maintenance issues needed while he was here. Scott was extremely pleasant, and listened intently as we walked around the house looking at all the issues we had been dealing with. We talked about what needed to be done, and then he came into the house to discuss it with both my husband and me. Scott helped us to see what we needed to do first, and then the logical progression with additional required work. He and his crew scheduled to come out and work on the roof within a few days of the assessment. He worked all day the first day, and had to come out an additional day to finish up. He had originally quoted the job as $3,500, but ended up only charging $3,000 as he didn't need to replace as much material as originally thought. They did an excellent job, and we haven't had any issues since then. We have already made plans for JS Mumma to come out and totally replace our back door/doorway and adjoining window. We have a lot of rotten wood on our home, and he is the one we want to fix it. We were very pleased with his expertise, his honesty, and his concern to stay within our budget! We feel Scott Mumma is one contractor you can trust to do a good job and not take any shortcuts on labor or materials.

Scott arrived on time and was very friendly. I felt the service was very professional, and his estimate for the new roof seemed reasonable. I will probably use JS Mumma next year to install new roof. I feel comfortable recommending them to other Angie's List members.

He also replaced some broken collars around my vent pipes and replaced the flashing. He was even able to accurately guess the age of my roof based on the collars, which further reinforced my feelings of his honesty. I even hired him to come back and do my gutter guards, which he did today. They look great. He was super on time and friendly, and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

The person who looked at my roof seemed very genuine, and that he was really concerned with my roof. He inspected it and said everything looked good and that I probably wouldn't need to think about getting a new roof until 4-5 years down the road. I felt very comfortable with his evaluation and the maintenance, and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me anything. It was a very good experience.

Arrived on time,was responsive to my questions (I always have a lot). Took pictures of all areas which he saw that he felt need attention and e-mailed them to me the next day with a quote. He began the job when he said he would and kept me informed of what was going on and continued to be responsive to my questions. The work was done well and in a timely fashion. I would use him again in a heartbeat if I needed something done.

I had to purchase two new flashings, which is why there was an extra cost. They called to see if they could come early and it worked for us, so that was nice. They even took pictures to show us the flashings that were damaged and needed to be replaced.

Came on time, did the work and left.

He did an excellent job. He is one of the best people you will ever meet. He's professional, funny. He also completely remodeled my bathroom, the entire thing with the exception of the bathtub. I have no complaints. I would highly reccomend him to others.

I love my new windows and the work is top-notch. I have used this contractor before for new siding and roof repairs. He is the ONLY contractor I'll ever use. His work is high quality and his prices are so reasonable, I don't even waste my time calling another contractor anymore for an estimate. He is also one of the most honest people you will ever meet. If HE notices something and doesn't turn out to his satisfaction, he will fix it at his own cost. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to him. Matter-of-fact, I have already sent numerous referrals his way over the years.

He was excellent. I was happy with his estimate. He was pleasant and punctual. He did everything I asked of him and he even went out his way to satisfy me. He was the only roofer that gave me a 10 year warranty on my roofing.

I had a groupon for handyman work. Scott did everything I asked him to do!

I will not use him again. He was not prepared when he got here, he didn't have all the tools he needed to complete the job. I had to go to the store to purchase wood so he could complete the job. He did complete the job but I will not happy with him and how he was working. His prices was reasonable but he was not prepared to do the job and I felt like he didn't really want to do the work.

We actually contacted JS Mumma Construction to have them replace a section of drywall behind the toilet that had become very moldy. When Scott came out to look the situation over, he said that we really should have the wall behind the tub surround checked out, too. At that point, we decided to have the tub removed, a full walk-in shower installed and a new toilet installed. Scott told us the work would take 5 to 6 days. It turned out they had to take more drywall out in order to get the shower installed, so basically we got a whole new bathroom and the work was all completed in 6 days. Before the work was completed, we decided we wanted to have a medicine cabinet installed above the sink where we had only a mirror. Scott agreed to install the medicine cabinet for no extra charge if we could get it before he completed the work. Unfortunately for us, the cabinet had to be ordered and was not available before the work was completed. So we agreed with Scott that he would come back for an additional fee and install the medicine cabinet when it came in. The additional fee is part of the $5065.00. We called Scott when the cabinet came in and he was out to install it a couple of days later.

The roof turned out so wonderful. Scott Mumma was on top of things. He was puncutal and I felt very comfortable with him. Scott was honest and told me things that I had no knowledge of. He did a good job, and I would refer him to anyone.
